Unto thee, Jehovah, do I lift up my soul.

2 O Dio mio, in te confido; fa' che non sia confuso e che i miei nemici non trionfino su di me.

My God, I confide in thee; let me not be ashamed, let not mine enemies triumph over me.

3 S í, fa' che nessuno di quelli che sperano in te sia deluso; siano confusi quelli che si comportano slealmente senza motivo.

Yea, none that wait on thee shall be ashamed: they shall be ashamed that deal treacherously without cause.

4 O Eterno, fammi conoscere le tue vie, insegnami i tuoi sentieri.

Make me to know thy ways, O Jehovah; teach me thy paths.

5 G uidami nella tua verità e ammaestrami, perché tu sei il DIO della mia salvezza; io spero grandemente in te tutto il giorno.

Make me to walk in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.

6 R icordati, o Eterno, delle tue compassioni e delle tue misericordie, perché sono da sempre.

Remember, Jehovah, thy tender mercies and thy loving-kindnesses; for they are from everlasting.

7 N on ricordarti dei peccati della mia giovinezza, né delle mie trasgressioni; ma nella tua benignità ricordati di me, o Eterno, per amore della tua bontà.

Remember not the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions; according to thy loving-kindness remember thou me, for thy goodness' sake, Jehovah.

8 L 'Eterno è buono e retto, perciò egli insegnerà la via ai peccatori.

Good and upright is Jehovah; therefore will he instruct sinners in the way:

9 E gli guiderà i mansueti nella giustizia e insegnerà la sua via agli umili.

The meek will he guide in judgment, and the meek will he teach his way.

10 T utte le vie dell'Eterno sono benignità e verità, per quelli che osservano il suo patto e le sue testimonianze.

All the paths of Jehovah are loving-kindness and truth for such as keep his covenant and his testimonies.

11 P er amor del tuo nome, o Eterno, perdona la mia iniquità, perché essa è grande.

For thy name's sake, O Jehovah, thou wilt indeed pardon mine iniquity; for it is great.

12 C hi è l'uomo che teme l'Eterno? Egli gli insegnerà la via che deve scegliere.

What man is he that feareth Jehovah? him will he instruct in the way he should choose.

13 E gli vivrà nella prosperità, e la sua progenie erediterà la terra.

His soul shall dwell in prosperity, and his seed shall inherit the earth.

14 I l segreto dell'Eterno è rivelato a quelli che lo temono, ed egli fa loro conoscere il suo patto.

The secret of Jehovah is with them that fear him, that he may make known his covenant to them.

15 I miei occhi sono rivolti del continuo all'Eterno perché egli trarrà i miei piedi dalla rete.

Mine eyes are ever toward Jehovah; for he will bring my feet out of the net.

16 V olgiti a me e abbi pietà di me, perché sono solo ed afflitto.

Turn toward me, and be gracious unto me; for I am solitary and afflicted.

17 L e angosce del mio cuore sono aumentate; liberami dalle mie avversità.

The troubles of my heart are increased: bring me out of my distresses;

18 V edi la mia afflizione e il mio affanno, e perdona tutti i miei peccati.

Consider mine affliction and my travail, and forgive all my sins.

19 O sserva i miei nemici, perché sono molti e mi odiano di un odio pieno di violenza.

Consider mine enemies, for they are many, and they hate me cruel hatred.

20 C ustodisci la mia vita e liberami; fa' che non sia confuso, perché mi rifugio in te.

Keep my soul, and deliver me: let me not be ashamed; for I trust in thee.

21 L 'integrità e la rettitudine mi custodiscano, perché spero in te.

Let integrity and uprightness preserve me; for I wait on thee.

22 O DIO, libera Israele da tutte le sue tribolazioni.

Redeem Israel, O God, out of all his troubles.
