5 N ell'angoscia invocai l'Eterno, e l'Eterno mi rispose e mi trasse al largo.

I called upon Jah in distress; Jah answered me in a large place.

6 L 'Eterno è per me; io non avrò alcun timore; che cosa mi può fare l'uomo?

Jehovah is for me, I will not fear; what can man do unto me?

7 L 'Eterno è per me fra quelli che mi soccorrono, e io guarderò trionfante sui miei nemici.

Jehovah is for me among them that help me; and I shall see upon them that hate me.

8 E ' meglio rifugiarsi nell'Eterno che confidare nell'uomo.

It is better to trust in Jehovah than to put confidence in man;

9 E ' meglio rifugiarsi nell'Eterno che confidare nei principi.

It is better to trust in Jehovah than to put confidence in nobles.

10 T utte le nazioni mi avevano circondato, ma nel nome dell'Eterno io le distruggerò.

All nations encompassed me; but in the name of Jehovah have I destroyed them.

They encompassed me like bees; they are quenched as the fire of thorns: for in the name of Jehovah have I destroyed them.

13 T u mi avevi spinto con violenza per farmi cadere, ma l'Eterno mi ha soccorso.

Thou hast thrust hard at me that I might fall; but Jehovah helped me.

My strength and song is Jah, and he is become my salvation.

15 U n grido di giubilo e di vittoria risuona nelle tende dei giusti; la destra del Signore fa prodigi.

The voice of triumph and salvation is in the tents of the righteous: the right hand of Jehovah doeth valiantly;

The right hand of Jehovah is exalted, the right hand of Jehovah doeth valiantly.

17 i o non morrò, ma vivrò e racconterò le opere dell'Eterno.

I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of Jah.

18 L 'Eterno mi ha punito duramente, ma non mi ha lasciato in balìa della morte.

Jah hath chastened me sore; but he hath not given me over unto death.

19 A pritemi le porte della giustizia; io vi entrerò e celebrerò l'Eterno.

Open to me the gates of righteousness: I will enter into them; Jah will I praise.

20 Q uesta è la porta dell'Eterno, i giusti entreranno per essa.

This is the gate of Jehovah: the righteous shall enter therein.

21 t i celebrerò, perché mi hai risposto e sei stato la mia salvezza.

I will give thee thanks, for thou hast answered me, and art become my salvation.

22 L a pietra, che i costruttori avevano rigettata è divenuta la testata d'angolo.

stone which the builders rejected hath become the head of the corner:

23 Q uesta è opera dell'Eterno, ed è cosa meravigliosa agli occhi nostri.

This is of Jehovah; it is wonderful in our eyes.

24 Q uesto è il giorno che l'Eterno ha fatto; rallegriamoci ed esultiamo in esso.

This is the day that Jehovah hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.

25 D eh, o Eterno, soccorrici ora; deh, o Eterno, facci prosperare ora.

Oh save, Jehovah, I beseech thee; Jehovah, I beseech thee, oh send prosperity!

26 B enedetto colui che viene nel nome dell'Eterno; noi vi benediciamo dalla casa dell'Eterno.

Blessed be he that cometh in the name of Jehovah. We have blessed you out of the house of Jehovah.

27 L 'Eterno è DIO e ha fatto risplendere la sua luce su di noi, legate la vittima del sacrificio ai corni dell'altare.

Jehovah is God, and he hath given us light: bind the sacrifice with cords,—up to the horns of the altar.

28 T u sei il mio DIO, io ti celebrerò, tu sei il mio DIO, io ti esalterò.

Thou art my God, and I will give thee thanks; my God, I will exalt thee.
