I will extol thee, my God, O King, and I will bless thy name for ever and ever.

Every day will I bless thee, and I will praise thy name for ever and ever.

3 L 'Eterno è grande e degno di somma lode, e la sua grandezza è imperscrutabile.

Great is Jehovah, and exceedingly to be praised; and his greatness is unsearchable.

4 U na generazione proclamerà le lodi delle tue opere all'altra e annunzierà i tuoi portenti.

One generation shall laud thy works to another, and shall declare thy mighty acts.

5 M editerò sul glorioso splendore della tua maestà e sulle tue meravigliose opere.

I will speak of the glorious splendour of thy majesty, and of thy wondrous works.

6 E ssi parleranno della potenza delle tue tremende opere, e io racconterò la tua grandezza.

And they shall tell of the might of thy terrible acts; and thy great deeds will I declare.

7 E ssi proclameranno il ricordo della tua grande bontà e canteranno con gioia la tua giustizia.

They shall abundantly utter the memory of thy great goodness, and shall sing aloud of thy righteousness.

8 L 'Eterno è misericordioso e pieno di compassione, lento all'ira e di grande benignità,

Jehovah is gracious and merciful; slow to anger, and of great loving-kindness.

9 L 'Eterno è buono verso tutti e pieno di compassione per tutte le sue opere.

Jehovah is good to all; and his tender mercies are over all his works.

10 T utte le tue opere ti celebreranno o Eterno, e i tuoi santi ti benediranno.

All thy works shall praise thee, Jehovah, and thy saints shall bless thee.

11 E ssi parleranno della gloria del tuo regno e racconteranno della tua potenza.

They shall tell of the glory of thy kingdom, and speak of thy power;

12 p er far conoscere ai figli degli uomini i tuoi portenti e il glorioso splendore del tuo regno.

To make known to the children of men his mighty acts, and the glorious splendour of his kingdom.

13 I l tuo regno è un regno eterno e il tuo dominio dura per ogni età.

Thy kingdom is a kingdom of all ages, and thy dominion is throughout all generations.

14 L 'Eterno sostiene tutti quelli che cadono e rialza tutti quelli che sono abbattuti.

Jehovah upholdeth all that fall, and raiseth up all that are bowed down.

15 G li occhi di tutti guardano a te con aspettazione, e tu dai loro il cibo a suo tempo.

The eyes of all wait upon thee; and thou givest them their food in its season.

16 T u apri la tua mano e appaghi il desiderio di ogni essere vivente.

Thou openest thy hand, and satisfiest the desire of every living thing.

17 L 'Eterno è giusto in tutte le sue vie e benigno in tutte le sue opere.

Jehovah is righteous in all his ways, and kind in all his works.

18 L 'Eterno è vicino a tutti quelli che lo invocano, a tutti quelli che lo invocano in verità.

Jehovah is nigh unto all that call upon him, unto all that call upon him in truth.

19 E gli soddisfa il desiderio di quelli che lo temono, ode il loro grido e li salva.

He fulfilleth the desire of them that fear him; he heareth their cry, and saveth them.

20 L 'Eterno protegge tutti quelli che l'amano e distruggerà tutti gli empi.

Jehovah keepeth all that love him, and all the wicked will he destroy.

21 L a mia bocca narrerà la lode dell'Eterno, e ogni carne benedirà il suo santo nome per sempre.

My mouth shall speak the praise of Jehovah; and let all flesh bless his holy name for ever and ever.
