2 M y God, I confide in thee; let me not be ashamed, let not mine enemies triumph over me.

3 Y ea, none that wait on thee shall be ashamed: they shall be ashamed that deal treacherously without cause.

Sí, fa' che nessuno di quelli che sperano in te sia deluso; siano confusi quelli che si comportano slealmente senza motivo.

4 M ake me to know thy ways, O Jehovah; teach me thy paths.

O Eterno, fammi conoscere le tue vie, insegnami i tuoi sentieri.

5 M ake me to walk in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.

Guidami nella tua verità e ammaestrami, perché tu sei il DIO della mia salvezza; io spero grandemente in te tutto il giorno.

6 R emember, Jehovah, thy tender mercies and thy loving-kindnesses; for they are from everlasting.

Ricordati, o Eterno, delle tue compassioni e delle tue misericordie, perché sono da sempre.

7 R emember not the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions; according to thy loving-kindness remember thou me, for thy goodness' sake, Jehovah.

Non ricordarti dei peccati della mia giovinezza, né delle mie trasgressioni; ma nella tua benignità ricordati di me, o Eterno, per amore della tua bontà.

8 G ood and upright is Jehovah; therefore will he instruct sinners in the way:

L'Eterno è buono e retto, perciò egli insegnerà la via ai peccatori.

9 T he meek will he guide in judgment, and the meek will he teach his way.

Egli guiderà i mansueti nella giustizia e insegnerà la sua via agli umili.

10 A ll the paths of Jehovah are loving-kindness and truth for such as keep his covenant and his testimonies.

Tutte le vie dell'Eterno sono benignità e verità, per quelli che osservano il suo patto e le sue testimonianze.

11 F or thy name's sake, O Jehovah, thou wilt indeed pardon mine iniquity; for it is great.

Per amor del tuo nome, o Eterno, perdona la mia iniquità, perché essa è grande.

12 W hat man is he that feareth Jehovah? him will he instruct in the way he should choose.

Chi è l'uomo che teme l'Eterno? Egli gli insegnerà la via che deve scegliere.

13 H is soul shall dwell in prosperity, and his seed shall inherit the earth.

Egli vivrà nella prosperità, e la sua progenie erediterà la terra.

14 T he secret of Jehovah is with them that fear him, that he may make known his covenant to them.

15 M ine eyes are ever toward Jehovah; for he will bring my feet out of the net.

16 T urn toward me, and be gracious unto me; for I am solitary and afflicted.

Volgiti a me e abbi pietà di me, perché sono solo ed afflitto.

17 T he troubles of my heart are increased: bring me out of my distresses;

Le angosce del mio cuore sono aumentate; liberami dalle mie avversità.

18 C onsider mine affliction and my travail, and forgive all my sins.

Vedi la mia afflizione e il mio affanno, e perdona tutti i miei peccati.

19 C onsider mine enemies, for they are many, and they hate me cruel hatred.

Osserva i miei nemici, perché sono molti e mi odiano di un odio pieno di violenza.

20 K eep my soul, and deliver me: let me not be ashamed; for I trust in thee.

Custodisci la mia vita e liberami; fa' che non sia confuso, perché mi rifugio in te.

21 L et integrity and uprightness preserve me; for I wait on thee.

L'integrità e la rettitudine mi custodiscano, perché spero in te.

22 R edeem Israel, O God, out of all his troubles.

O DIO, libera Israele da tutte le sue tribolazioni.
