1 T hey that confide in Jehovah are as mount Zion, which cannot be moved; it abideth for ever.

«Canto dei pellegrinaggi.» Quelli che confidano nell'Eterno sono come il monte Sion, che non può essere smosso. ma rimane in eterno.

2 J erusalem!—mountains are round about her, and Jehovah is round about his people, from henceforth and for evermore.

Come Gerusalemme è circondata dai monti, cosí l'Eterno sta intorno al suo popolo, ora e per sempre.

3 F or the sceptre of wickedness shall not rest upon the lot of the righteous; lest the righteous put forth their hands unto iniquity.

Poiché lo scettro dell'empietà non riposerà per sempre sull'eredità dei giusti, perché i giusti non stendano le loro mani a compiere il male.

4 D o good, O Jehovah, unto the good, and to them that are upright in their hearts.

O Eterno, fa' del bene ai buoni e a quelli che sono retti di cuore.

5 B ut as for such as turn aside unto their crooked ways, Jehovah will lead them forth with the workers of iniquity. Peace be upon Israel!

Ma quelli che vanno dietro a vie tortuose, l'Eterno li farà andare con gli operatori d'iniquità. Pace, sia su Israele.
