1 I have been inquired of by those who asked not, I have been found by those who sought Me not, I have said, `Behold Me, behold Me,' Unto a nation not calling in My name.

Los que no preguntaban por mí, me buscaron; los que no me buscaban, me encontraron. A los que no invocaban mi nombre, les dije «Aquí me tienen».

2 I have spread out My hands all the day Unto an apostate people, Who are going in the way not good after their own thoughts.

Todo el día tendí mis manos hacia un pueblo rebelde, un pueblo que va por mal camino y en pos de sus pensamientos;

3 T he people who are provoking Me to anger, To My face continually, Sacrificing in gardens, and making perfume on the bricks:

un pueblo que descaradamente me provoca a ira todo el tiempo, que ofrece sacrificios en los huertos y quema incienso sobre ladrillos;

4 W ho are dwelling among sepulchres, And lodge in reserved places, Who are eating flesh of the sow, And a piece of abominable things -- their vessels.

un pueblo que se sienta entre los sepulcros y pasa la noche en lugares escondidos; que come carne de cerdo, y que en sus ollas tiene caldo de cosas inmundas;

5 W ho are saying, `Keep to thyself, come not nigh to me, For I have declared thee unholy.' These a smoke in Mine anger, A fire burning all the day.

un pueblo que dice: «Quédate donde estás y no te acerques a mí, porque yo soy más santo que tú». Todo esto es para mí como humo en la nariz; ¡es un fuego que arde todo el día!

6 L o, it is written before Me: `I am not silent, but have recompensed; And I have recompensed into their bosom,

Pero esto lo tengo escrito delante de mí, y no voy a quedarme callado, sino que voy a darles su merecido; voy a herirlos en el pecho

7 Y our iniquities, and the iniquities of your fathers together, said Jehovah, Who have made perfume on the mountains, And on the heights have reproached Me, And I have measured their former work into their bosom.'

por causa de sus iniquidades y por las iniquidades de sus padres, pues ellos quemaron incienso sobre los montes y me ofendieron sobre las colinas. Por lo tanto, yo el Señor les digo que los heriré en el pecho, en pago de sus acciones pasadas.

8 T hus said Jehovah: As the new wine is found in the cluster, And one hath said, `Destroy it not for a blessing in it,' So I do for My servants' sake, not to destroy the whole.

Así ha dicho el Señor: «Así como alguien que halla un racimo con uvas jugosas, dice: “Esto es una bendición. No hay que dañarlo”, así voy a actuar en favor de mis siervos: No los destruiré a todos.

9 A nd I have brought out from Jacob a seed, And from Judah a possessor of My mount, And possess it do My chosen ones, And My servants do dwell there.

Haré que de Jacob salgan descendientes, y que Judá sea el heredero de mis montes. Mis elegidos tomarán posesión de la tierra, y mis siervos la habitarán.

10 A nd Sharon hath been for the habitation of a flock, And the valley of Achor for the lying down of a herd, For My people who have sought Me.

Para el pueblo que me buscó, Sarón será el lugar donde descansarán sus ovejas, y el valle de Acor será un lugar de pastos para sus vacas.

11 A nd ye those forsaking Jehovah, Who are forgetting My holy mountain, Who are setting in array for Gad a table, And who are filling for Meni a mixture.

Pero a ustedes, los que me abandonaron, los que se olvidaron de mi santo monte y tienden mesas para la Fortuna y ofrecen libaciones para el Destino,

12 A nd I have numbered you for the sword, And all of you for slaughter bow down, Because I called, and ye have not answered, I have spoken, and ye have not hearkened, And ye do the evil thing in Mine eyes, And on that which I desired not -- fixed.

yo, el Señor, los destinaré a morir por la espada. Todos ustedes se arrodillarán para ser degollados, porque los llamé y ustedes no me respondieron; les hablé, y ustedes no me hicieron caso. Al contrario, hicieron lo malo ante mis propios ojos, y decidieron hacer lo que me disgusta.»

13 T herefore, thus said the Lord Jehovah: Lo, My servants do eat, and ye do hunger, Lo, My servants do drink, and ye do thirst, Lo, My servants rejoice, and ye are ashamed,

Por eso, Dios el Señor ha dicho: «A mis siervos los verán comer, pero ustedes sufrirán de hambre. A mis siervos los verán beber, pero ustedes sufrirán de sed. A mis siervos los verán alegrarse, pero ustedes serán avergonzados.

14 L o, My servants sing from joy of heart, And ye cry from pain of heart, And from breaking of spirit ye do howl.

A mis siervos los verán cantar con corazón alegre, pero ustedes clamarán con dolido corazón y chillarán con espíritu quebrantado.

15 A nd ye have left your name For an oath for My chosen ones, And the Lord Jehovah hath put thee to death, And to His servants He giveth another name.

Ustedes dejarán su nombre para que mis elegidos lo usen como maldición. Yo soy Dios, el Señor, y voy a quitarte la vida, y a mis siervos les daré otro nombre.

16 S o that he who is blessing himself in the earth, Doth bless himself In the God of faithfulness, And he who is swearing in the earth, Doth swear by the God of faithfulness, Because the former distresses have been forgotten, And because they have been hid from Mine eyes.

En este país, el que quiera pronunciar una bendición, lo hará en nombre del Dios de la verdad; y el que quiera hacer un juramento, lo hará en nombre del Dios de la verdad. Ciertamente las angustias de antaño quedarán en el olvido y fuera de mi vista. Cielos nuevos y tierra nueva

17 F or, lo, I am creating new heavens, and a new earth, And the former things are not remembered, Nor do they ascend on the heart.

»¡Fíjense bien! ¡Ya estoy creando nuevos cielos y nueva tierra! De los primeros, nadie volverá a acordarse, ni los traerá más a la memoria.

18 B ut joy ye, and rejoice for ever, that I Creator, For, lo, I am creating Jerusalem a rejoicing, And her people a joy.

Al contrario, ustedes se alegrarán y regocijarán siempre en lo que voy a crear. Estoy por crear una Jerusalén alegre y un pueblo gozoso.

19 A nd I have rejoiced in Jerusalem, And have joyed in My people, And not heard in her any more Is the voice of weeping, and the voice of crying.

Yo me alegraré con Jerusalén; me gozaré con mi pueblo, y nunca más volverán a oírse en ella voces de llanto ni de clamor.

20 T here is not thence any more a suckling of days, And an aged man who doth not complete his days, For the youth a hundred years old dieth, And the sinner, a hundred years old, is lightly esteemed.

No habrá en ella niños que mueran a los pocos días, ni ancianos que no cumplan sus años de vida; los niños morirán a los cien años de vida, y los pecadores que lleguen a vivir cien años serán malditos.

21 A nd they have built houses, and inhabited, And planted vineyards, and eaten their fruit.

Edificarán casas, y las habitarán; plantarán viñas, y comerán las uvas.

22 T hey do not build, and another inhabit, They do not plant, and another eat, For as the days of a tree the days of My people, And the work of their hands wear out do My chosen ones.

No volverán a edificar casas para que otro las habite, ni plantarán nada para que otros se coman los frutos. La vida de mi pueblo será semejante a la vida de los árboles; mis elegidos disfrutarán del trabajo de sus manos.

23 T hey labour not for a vain thing, Nor do they bring forth for trouble, For the seed of the blessed of Jehovah they, And their offspring with them.

No trabajarán en vano, ni darán a luz hijos que estén bajo maldición, porque ellos y sus descendientes son un linaje bendecido por el Señor.

24 A nd it hath come to pass, They do not yet call, and I answer, They are yet speaking, and I hear.

Antes de que me pidan ayuda, yo les responderé; no habrán terminado de hablar cuando ya los habré escuchado.

25 W olf and lamb do feed as one, And a lion as an ox eateth straw, As to the serpent -- dust its food, They do no evil, nor destroy, In all My holy mountain, said Jehovah!

El lobo y el cordero descansarán juntos, el león comerá paja como el buey, y la serpiente se alimentará con el polvo de la tierra. En todo mi santo monte no habrá aflicción ni nadie hará daño a nadie. Yo, el Señor, lo he dicho.»
