1 A nd there is a word of Jehovah unto me, saying,

La palabra del Señor vino a mí, y me dijo:

2 ` Son of man, prophesy concerning shepherds of Israel, prophesy, and thou hast said unto them: To the shepherds, thus said the Lord Jehovah: Wo the shepherds of Israel, Who have been feeding themselves! The flock do not the shepherds feed?

«Hijo de hombre, profetiza contra los pastores de Israel; profetiza, y diles que yo, su Señor y Dios, he dicho: »¡Ay de ustedes, los pastores de Israel, que sólo cuidan de sí mismos! ¿Acaso no son los pastores los que deben cuidar de los rebaños?

3 T he fat ye do eat, and the wool ye put on, The fed one ye slaughter, the flock ye feed not.

Ustedes se comen lo mejor, se visten con la lana, degüellan a las ovejas más engordadas, pero no cuidan de las ovejas.

4 T he weak ye have not strengthened, And the sick one ye have not healed, And the broken ye have not bound up, And the driven away have not brought back, And the lost ye have not sought, And with might ye have ruled them and with rigour.

Ustedes no fortalecen a las ovejas débiles, ni curan a las enfermas, no vendan las heridas de las que se quiebran una pata, ni regresan las descarriadas al redil; tampoco van en busca de las que se pierden, sino que las manejan con dureza y violencia.

5 A nd they are scattered from want of a shepherd, And are for food to every beast of the field, Yea, they are scattered.

Y las ovejas andan errantes por falta de pastor; andan dispersas y son fácil presa de todas las fieras del campo.

6 G o astray do My flock on all the mountains, And on every high hill, And on all the face of the land have My flock been scattered, And there is none inquiring, and none seeking.

Y así, mis ovejas andan perdidas por todos los montes y por todas las colinas. Andan esparcidas por toda la tierra, sin que nadie las busque ni pregunte por ellas.»

7 T herefore, shepherds, hear a word of Jehovah:

Por lo tanto, pastores, oigan la palabra del Señor:

8 I live -- an affirmation of the Lord Jehovah, If not, because of My flock being for a prey, Yea, My flock is for food to every beast of the field, Because there is no shepherd, And My shepherds have not sought My flock, And the shepherds do feed themselves, And My flock they have not fed.

«A las ovejas de mi rebaño se las roban, las hacen presa de todas las fieras del campo. Andan sin pastor, y mis pastores no las cuidan ni van en busca de ellas, sino que sólo cuidan de sí mismos. Por lo tanto yo, su Señor y Dios, juro,

9 T herefore, O shepherds, hear a word of Jehovah:

y ustedes, pastores, escuchen bien lo que les digo:

10 T hus said the Lord Jehovah: Lo, I against the shepherds, And have required My flock from their hand, And caused them to cease from feeding the flock, And no more do the shepherds feed themselves, And I have delivered My flock from their mouth, And they are not to them for food.

Yo, su Señor y Dios, estoy en contra de ustedes, los pastores, y voy a pedirles cuentas de mis ovejas. Ya no voy a dejarlas al cuidado de ustedes, ni tampoco ustedes van a cuidar sólo de sí mismos; yo voy a librarlas de la boca de ustedes, para que no se las sigan comiendo.»

11 F or thus said the Lord Jehovah: Lo, I -- even I, have required My flock, And I have sought it out.

Sí, así ha dicho Dios el Señor: «Yo mismo voy a ir en busca de mis ovejas, y yo mismo las cuidaré,

12 A s a shepherd's searching of his drove, In the day of his being in the midst of his scattered flock, so I do seek My flock, And have delivered them out of all places, Whither they have been scattered, In a day of cloud and thick darkness.

tal y como las cuida el pastor cuando se halla entre sus ovejas esparcidas. Yo las rescataré de todos los lugares por los que fueron esparcidas aquel día nublado y oscuro.

13 A nd brought them out from the peoples, And have gathered them from the lands, And brought them unto their own ground, And have fed them on mountains of Israel, By streams, and by all dwellings of the land.

Las sacaré de los pueblos y países donde ahora están, y las traeré a su propia tierra; las apacentaré en los montes y en las riberas de Israel, y en todos los lugares habitados del país.

14 W ith good pasture I do feed them, And on mountains of the high place of Israel is their habitation, There do they lie down in a good habitation, And fat pastures they enjoy on mountains of Israel.

Las apacentaré en los mejores pastos, y pondré su aprisco en los altos montes de Israel; allí dormirán en un buen redil, y serán apacentadas en los pastos suculentos de los montes de Israel.

15 I feed My flock, and cause them to lie down, An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah.

Yo les daré a mis ovejas buenos pastos y apriscos seguros. Palabra de Dios el Señor.

16 T he lost I seek, and the driven away bring back, And the broken I bind up, and the sick I strengthen, And the fat and the strong I destroy, I feed it with judgment.

»Buscaré a las ovejas perdidas, y devolveré al redil a las que perdieron el camino; les vendaré las patas a las ovejas lastimadas, y fortaleceré a las ovejas débiles. Seré justo con mis ovejas, pero eliminaré a las ovejas engordadas y rechonchas.

17 A nd you, My flock, thus said the Lord Jehovah: Lo, I am judging between sheep and sheep, Between rams and he-goats.

»A ustedes, ovejas mías, yo, su Señor y Dios, les digo que yo juzgo entre una oveja y otra, y entre carneros y machos cabríos.

18 I s it a little thing for you -- the good pasture ye enjoy, And the remnant of your pasture ye tread down with your feet, And a depth of waters ye do drink, And the remainder with your feet ye trample,

¿Les parece poco comerse los buenos pastos, y todavía pisotear el resto de los pastos? ¿Les parece poco beber de las aguas claras, y luego enturbiar con sus patas el resto del agua?

19 A nd My flock the trodden thing of your feet consumeth, And the trampled thing of your feet drinketh?

¡Y luego mis ovejas tienen que comer los pastos pisoteados, y beber el agua turbia!»

20 T herefore, thus said the Lord Jehovah to them: Lo, I -- even I, have judged between fat sheep and lean sheep.

Por lo tanto, su Dios y Señor les dice: «Voy a juzgar a las ovejas engordadas y a las ovejas flacas.

21 B ecause with side and with shoulder ye thrust away, And with your horns push all the diseased, Till ye have scattered them to the out-place,

Ya que ustedes empujaron por el costado y con el hombro a las ovejas más débiles, y además las cornearon hasta dispersarlas y echarlas del rebaño,

22 A nd I have given safety to My flock, And they are not any more for prey, And I have judged between sheep and sheep.

yo las salvaré; juzgaré entre una y otra oveja, y nunca más mis ovejas serán objeto de rapiña.

23 A nd have raised up over them one shepherd, And he hath fed them -- my servant David, He doth feed them, and he is their shepherd,

Voy a ponerlas al cuidado de un pastor que yo mismo les daré. Ese pastor será mi siervo David, y él será quien las apacentará.

24 A nd I, Jehovah, I am their God, And My servant David prince in their midst, I, Jehovah, have spoken.

Yo, el Señor, seré su Dios, y mi siervo David será su príncipe. Yo, el Señor, lo he dicho.

25 A nd I have made for them a covenant of peace, And caused evil beasts to cease out of the land, And they have dwelt in a wilderness confidently, And they have slept in forests.

»Haré con mis ovejas un pacto de paz, y quitaré de la tierra a las fieras salvajes; así mis ovejas podrán habitar seguras en el desierto y dormir en los bosques.

26 A nd I have given them, and the suburbs of my hill, a blessing, And caused the shower to come down in its season, Showers of blessing they are.

Pondré mi bendición en ellas y en los alrededores de mi colina, y haré que llueva cuando deba llover, y esa lluvia será de bendición.

27 A nd given hath the tree of the field its fruit, And the land doth give her increase, And they have been on their land confident, And they have known that I Jehovah, In My breaking the bands of their yoke, And I have delivered them from the hand of those laying service on them.

La tierra y los árboles del campo darán su fruto, y mis ovejas vivirán seguras sobre su tierra. Cuando yo rompa las coyundas de su yugo, y las libre de las manos de sus opresores, sabrán que yo soy el Señor.

28 A nd they are no more a prey to nations, And the beast of the earth devoureth them not, And they have dwelt confidently, And there is none troubling.

»Mis ovejas no volverán a ser el botín de guerra de las naciones, ni las fieras salvajes volverán a devorarlas, sino que vivirán tranquilas y sin que nadie las espante.

29 A nd I have raised for them a plant for renown, And they are no more consumed by hunger in the land, And they bear no more the shame of the nations.

Su país será famoso por su fertilidad, y no volverán a sufrir de hambre en su tierra, ni las naciones volverán a avergonzarlas.

30 A nd they have known that I, Jehovah, their God, with them, And they -- the house of Israel -- My people, An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah.

Entonces mis ovejas sabrán que yo, su Señor y Dios, estoy con ellas, y que ellas son mi pueblo, el pueblo de Israel. Palabra de Dios el Señor.

31 A nd ye, My flock, the flock of My pasture, Men ye -- I your God, An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah!'

»Ustedes son mis ovejas. Son las ovejas de mis pastos; ustedes son hombres, y yo soy su Dios.» Palabra de Dios el Señor.
