1 ` And at that time stand up doth Michael, the great head, who is standing up for the sons of thy people, and there hath been a time of distress, such as hath not been since there hath been a nation till that time, and at that time do thy people escape, every one who is found written in the book.

»Cuando llegue el momento, se levantará Miguel, el gran príncipe que está de parte de los hijos de tu pueblo. Serán momentos angustiosos, como jamás los hubo desde que la humanidad existe, pero llegado el momento tu pueblo será liberado, lo mismo que todos los que estén registrados en el libro.

2 ` And the multitude of those sleeping in the dust of the ground do awake, some to life age-during, and some to reproaches -- to abhorrence age-during.

Muchos de los que duermen en el polvo de la tierra serán despertados, unos para vida eterna, y otros para vergüenza y confusión perpetua.

3 A nd those teaching do shine as the brightness of the expanse, and those justifying the multitude as stars to the age and for ever.

Los entendidos resplandecerán como el resplandor del firmamento; y los que instruyen a muchos en la justicia serán como las estrellas por toda la eternidad.

4 A nd thou, O Daniel, hide the things, and seal the book till the time of the end, many do go to and fro, and knowledge is multiplied.'

Pero tú, Daniel, mantén estas palabras en secreto y sella el libro hasta el tiempo del fin. Muchos correrán de un lado para otro, y la ciencia irá en aumento.»

5 A nd I have looked -- I, Daniel -- and lo, two others are standing, one here at the edge of the flood, and one there at the edge of the flood,

Yo, Daniel, me fijé y vi a otros dos hombres que estaban en pie a la orilla del río, uno en un lado, y el otro en el lado opuesto.

6 a nd he saith to the one clothed in linen, who upon the waters of the flood, `Till when the end of these wonders?'

Uno de ellos le dijo al varón vestido de lino, que estaba sobre las aguas del río: «¿Cuándo se cumplirán todos estos portentos?»

7 A nd I hear the one clothed in linen, who upon the waters of the flood, and he doth lift up his right hand and his left unto the heavens, and sweareth by Him who is living to the age, that, `After a time, times, and a half, and at the completion of the scattering of the power of the holy people, finished are all these.'

Y vi que el que estaba vestido de lino y de pie junto a las aguas del río, levantó hacia el cielo las dos manos y, jurando por el que vive por los siglos, dijo: «Pasarán un tiempo, más dos tiempos, y la mitad de un tiempo. Cuando la dispersión del poder del pueblo santo llegue a su fin, todas estas cosas se cumplirán.»

8 A nd I have heard, and I do not understand, and I say, `O my lord, what the latter end of these?'

Yo pude oír esto, pero no lo entendí, así que dije: «Mi señor, ¿qué fin tendrá todo esto?»

9 A nd he saith, `Go, Daniel; for hidden and sealed the things till the time of the end;

Él respondió: «Vamos, Daniel; estas palabras están cerradas y selladas hasta el tiempo del fin.

10 P urify themselves, yea, make themselves white, yea, refined are many: and the wicked have done wickedly, and none of the wicked understand, and those acting wisely do understand;

Muchos serán limpiados, emblanquecidos y purificados, pero los impíos procederán con impiedad, y ninguno de ellos entenderá esto, pero los entendidos si lo comprenderán.

11 a nd from the time of the turning aside of the perpetual, and to the giving out of the desolating abomination, days a thousand, two hundred, and ninety.

Desde el momento en que sea suspendido el sacrificio continuo hasta la abominación desoladora, pasarán mil doscientos noventa días.

12 O the blessedness of him who is waiting earnestly, and doth come to the days, a thousand, three hundred, thirty and five.

Bienaventurado el que espere y llegue a mil trescientos treinta y cinco días.

13 A nd thou, go on to the end, then thou dost rest, and dost stand in thy lot at the end of the days.'

Pero tú, sigue hasta el fin. Cuando llegue el fin del tiempo, reposarás y te levantarás para recibir lo que te corresponde recibir.»
