1 A nd Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,

El Señor habló con Moisés, y le dijo:

2 ` Speak unto the sons of Israel, and thou hast said unto them, I Jehovah your God;

«Habla con los hijos de Israel, y diles: »Yo soy el Señor su Dios.

3 a ccording to the work of the land of Egypt in which ye have dwelt ye do not, and according to the work of the land of Canaan whither I am bringing you in, ye do not, and in their statutes ye walk not.

»No hagan ustedes lo que hacen los egipcios, en cuyo país vivieron. Tampoco hagan lo que hacen los cananeos, a cuyo país yo los conduzco. No sigan sus estatutos.

4 ` My judgments ye do, and My statutes ye keep, to walk in them; I Jehovah your God;

Más bien, pongan en práctica mis ordenanzas y cumplan con mis estatutos. Síganlos. Yo soy el Señor su Dios.

5 a nd ye have kept My statutes and My judgments which man doth and liveth in them; I Jehovah.

Por lo tanto, obedezcan mis estatutos y mis ordenanzas. Todo el que los cumpla, vivirá por ellos. Yo soy el Señor.

6 ` None of you unto any relation of his flesh doth draw near to uncover nakedness; I Jehovah.

»Nadie debe allegarse a ninguna parienta cercana para descubrir su desnudez. Yo soy el Señor.

7 ` The nakedness of thy father and the nakedness of thy mother thou dost not uncover, she thy mother; thou dost not uncover her nakedness.

»No descubrirás la desnudez de tu padre ni la desnudez de tu madre. Se trata de tu madre, así que no descubrirás su desnudez.

8 ` The nakedness of the wife of thy father thou dost not uncover; it the nakedness of thy father.

»No descubrirás la desnudez de la mujer de tu padre. Se trata de la desnudez de tu padre.

9 ` The nakedness of thy sister, daughter of thy father, or daughter of thy mother, born at home or born without; thou dost not uncover their nakedness.

»No descubrirás la desnudez de tu hermana, hija de tu padre o hija de tu madre, nacida en tu casa o fuera de tu casa.

10 ` The nakedness of thy son's daughter, or of thy daughter's daughter: thou dost not uncover their nakedness; for theirs thy nakedness.

»No descubrirás la desnudez de la hija de tu hijo, o de la hija de tu hija. Es tu propia desnudez.

11 ` The nakedness of a daughter of thy father's wife, begotten of thy father, she thy sister; thou dost not uncover her nakedness.

»No descubrirás la desnudez de la hija de la mujer de tu padre. Ha sido engendrada por tu padre, y es tu hermana.

12 ` The nakedness of a sister of thy father thou dost not uncover; she a relation of thy father.

»No descubrirás la desnudez de la hermana de tu padre. Se trata de la familia de tu padre.

13 ` The nakedness of thy mother's sister thou dost not uncover; for she thy mother's relation.

»No descubrirás la desnudez de la hermana de tu madre. Se trata de la familia de tu madre.

14 ` The nakedness of thy father's brother thou dost not uncover; unto his wife thou dost not draw near; she thine aunt.

»No descubrirás la desnudez del hermano de tu padre. »No te acostarás con la mujer del hermano de tu padre. Se trata de la mujer del hermano de tu padre.

15 ` The nakedness of thy daughter-in-law thou dost not uncover; she thy son's wife; thou dost not uncover her nakedness.

»No descubrirás la desnudez de tu nuera. Se trata de la mujer de tu hijo, así que no descubrirás su desnudez.

16 ` The nakedness of thy brother's wife thou dost not uncover; it thy brother's nakedness.

»No descubrirás la desnudez de la mujer de tu hermano. Se trata de la desnudez de tu hermano.

17 ` The nakedness of a woman and her daughter thou dost not uncover; her son's daughter, and her daughter's daughter thou dost not take to uncover her nakedness; they her relations; it wickedness.

»No descubrirás la desnudez de una mujer y de su hija. »No descubrirás la desnudez de la hija de su hijo, ni de la hija de su hija. Eso es un acto perverso, pues se trata de parientas cercanas.

18 ` And a woman unto another thou dost not take, to be an adversary, to uncover her nakedness beside her, in her life.

»No descubrirás la desnudez de la hermana de tu mujer, mientras ésta viva, pues la harías su rival.

19 ` And unto a woman in the separation of her uncleanness thou dost not draw near to uncover her nakedness.

»No descubrirás la desnudez de ninguna mujer durante sus días de impureza menstrual.

20 ` And unto the wife of thy fellow thou dost not give thy seed of copulation, for uncleanness with her.

»No tendrás relaciones sexuales con la mujer de tu prójimo, para no deshonrarte con ella.

21 ` And of thy seed thou dost not give to pass over to the Molech; nor dost thou pollute the name of thy God; I Jehovah.

»No ofrezcas ningún hijo tuyo a Moloc, para que sea quemado. No deshonres así el nombre de tu Dios. Yo soy el Señor.

22 ` And with a male thou dost not lie as one lieth with a woman; abomination it.

»No te acostarás con un hombre como si te acostaras con una mujer. Eso es un acto aberrante.

23 ` And with any beast thou dost not give thy copulation, for uncleanness with it; and a woman doth not stand before a beast to lie down with it; confusion it.

»No te allegarás a ningún animal para deshonrarte con él. »Ninguna mujer se pondrá delante de ningún animal para ayuntarse con él. Ése es un acto perverso.

24 ` Ye are not defiled with all these, for with all these have the nations been defiled which I am sending away from before you;

»No se contaminen con nada de esto. Las naciones que yo estoy expulsando de la presencia de ustedes se han corrompido cometiendo todas estas cosas,

25 a nd the land is defiled, and I charge its iniquity upon it, and the land vomiteth out its inhabitants:

y con ello la tierra se contaminó. Pero yo castigué su maldad, y la tierra expulsó a sus habitantes.

26 a nd ye -- ye have kept My statutes and My judgments, and do not of all these abominations, the native and the sojourner who is sojourning in your midst,

Pero ustedes, cumplan con mis estatutos y mis ordenanzas, y no cometan, ni ustedes ni los extranjeros que habitan entre ustedes, ninguno de estos actos aberrantes.

27 ( for all these abominations have the men of the land done who before you, and the land is defiled),

Porque todas estas perversiones las cometieron los que habitaron esa tierra antes que ustedes, y la tierra se contaminó.

28 a nd the land doth not vomit you out in your defiling it, as it hath vomited out the nation which before you;

No vaya a ser que la tierra los expulse por haberla contaminado, como expulsó a la gente que la habitó antes que ustedes.

29 f or any one who doth of all these abominations -- even the persons who are doing, have been cut off from the midst of their people;

Todos los que incurran en alguna de estas perversiones serán eliminados de su pueblo.

30 a nd ye have kept My charge, so as not to do of the abominable statutes which have been done before you, and ye do not defile yourselves with them; I Jehovah your God.'

»Por lo tanto, cumplan con mis ordenanzas y no imiten las repugnantes acciones que se practicaron allí antes de ustedes. No se contaminen con ellas. Yo soy el Señor su Dios.»
