1 A nd Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,

El Señor habló con Moisés, y le dijo:

2 ` This is a law of the leper, in the day of his cleansing, that he hath been brought in unto the priest,

«Ésta es la ley para el leproso, cuando sea declarado limpio: Será llevado ante el sacerdote,

3 a nd the priest hath gone out unto the outside of the camp, and the priest hath seen, and lo, the plague of leprosy hath ceased from the leper,

quien saldrá del campamento para examinarlo. Si el sacerdote ve que el leproso ha sanado de la plaga de lepra,

4 a nd the priest hath commanded, and he hath taken for him who is to be cleansed, two clean living birds, and cedar wood, and scarlet, and hyssop.

ordenará que se tomen dos aves vivas y puras, madera de cedro, grana e hisopo, para el que se purifica.

5 ` And the priest hath commanded, and he hath slaughtered the one bird upon an earthen vessel, over running water;

Luego, ordenará que una de las aves sea degollada sobre un vaso de barro con agua corriente.

6 t he living bird, he taketh it, and the cedar wood, and the scarlet, and the hyssop, and hath dipped them and the living bird in the blood of the slaughtered bird, over the running water,

Tomará entonces el ave viva y, con la sangre del ave que fue degollada sobre el agua corriente, mojará el cedro, la grana y el hisopo.

7 a nd he hath sprinkled on him who is to be cleansed from the leprosy seven times, and hath pronounced him clean, and hath sent out the living bird on the face of the field.

Luego rociará siete veces al que está siendo purificado de la lepra, lo declarará puro, y soltará en el campo el ave viva.

8 ` And he who is to be cleansed hath washed his garments, and hath shaved all his hair, and hath bathed with water, and hath been clean, and afterwards he doth come in unto the camp, and hath dwelt at the outside of his tent seven days.

El que se purifica lavará sus vestidos, se rapará, se lavará con agua, y entonces quedará purificado. Después de eso, entrará en el campamento, y durante siete días vivirá fuera de su tienda.

9 ` And it hath been, on the seventh day -- he shaveth all his hair, his head, and his beard, and his eyebrows, even all his hair he doth shave, and he hath washed his garments, and hath bathed his flesh with water, and hath been clean.

El séptimo día se rapará por completo la cabeza, la barba y las cejas, y lavará sus vestidos y se bañará, y entonces será declarado puro.

10 ` And on the eighth day he taketh two lambs, perfect ones, and one ewe-lamb, daughter of a year, a perfect one, and three tenth deals of flour a present, mixed with oil, and one log of oil.

»Al octavo día, tomará dos corderos sin defecto, una cordera de un año sin defecto, seis litros de flor de harina para ofrenda amasada con aceite, y medio litro de aceite.

11 ` And the priest who is cleansing hath caused the man who is to be cleansed to stand with them before Jehovah, at the opening of the tent of meeting,

El sacerdote que realiza la purificación presentará delante del Señor, a la entrada del tabernáculo de reunión, al que se va a purificar y a sus ofrendas.

12 a nd the priest hath taken the one he-lamb, and hath brought it near for a guilt-offering, also the log of oil, and hath waved them -- a wave offering before Jehovah.

Tomará un cordero y, con el medio litro de aceite, lo ofrecerá delante del Señor como sacrificio por la culpa, y lo mecerá como ofrenda mecida.

13 ` And he hath slaughtered the lamb in the place where he slaughtereth the sin-offering and the burnt-offering, in the holy place; for like the sin-offering the guilt-offering is to the priest; it most holy.

Luego degollará el cordero en el lugar santo, donde se degüellan los sacrificios por el pecado y los holocaustos. Tanto la víctima por el pecado como la víctima por la culpa son para el sacerdote, pues son ofrendas muy sagradas.

14 ` And the priest hath taken of the blood of the guilt-offering, and the priest hath put on the tip of the right ear of him who is to be cleansed, and on the thumb of his right hand, and on the great toe of his right foot;

El sacerdote tomará un poco de la sangre de la víctima por la culpa, y se la untará al que se purifica en el lóbulo de la oreja derecha, en el pulgar de la mano derecha y en el dedo gordo del pie derecho.

15 a nd the priest hath taken of the log of oil, and hath poured on the left palm of the priest,

Así mismo, el sacerdote tomará un poco del medio litro de aceite y lo echará sobre la palma de su mano izquierda,

16 a nd the priest hath dipped his right finger in the oil which on his left palm, and hath sprinkled of the oil with his finger seven times before Jehovah.

mojará su dedo derecho en el aceite que tiene en su mano izquierda, y con su dedo esparcirá el aceite siete veces delante del Señor.

17 ` And of the residue of the oil which on his palm, the priest putteth on the tip of the right ear of him who is to be cleansed, and on the thumb of his right hand, and on the great toe of his right foot, on the blood of the guilt-offering;

El aceite que le quede en la mano se lo pondrá al que se purifica en el lóbulo de la oreja derecha, en el pulgar de la mano derecha y en el dedo gordo del pie derecho, sobre la sangre del sacrificio por la culpa.

18 a nd the remnant of the oil which on the palm of the priest, he putteth on the head of him who is to be cleansed, and the priest hath made atonement for him before Jehovah.

El aceite que le quede en la mano lo pondrá sobre la cabeza del que se purifica; y así el sacerdote hará expiación por él delante del Señor.

19 ` And the priest hath made the sin-offering, and hath made atonement for him who is to be cleansed from his uncleanness, and afterwards he doth slaughter the burnt-offering;

Luego ofrecerá el sacrificio por el pecado, con lo que hará expiación por el que va a purificarse de su inmundicia, y después degollará el holocausto,

20 a nd the priest hath caused the burnt-offering to ascend, also the present, on the altar, and the priest hath made atonement for him, and he hath been clean.

dejando ascender sobre el altar el humo del holocausto y de la ofrenda. Así el sacerdote hará expiación por él, y lo declarará puro.

21 ` And if he poor, and his hand is not reaching, then he hath taken one lamb -- a guilt-offering, for a wave-offering, to make atonement for him, and one-tenth deal of flour mixed with oil for a present, and a log of oil,

»Si el que se purifica es pobre, y no tiene para comprar tanto, tomará como ofrenda de reconciliación un cordero, para que sea ofrecido como ofrenda mecida por la culpa, y como ofrenda dos litros de flor de harina amasada con aceite, medio litro de aceite,

22 a nd two turtle-doves, or two young pigeons, which his hand reacheth to, and one hath been a sin-offering, and the one a burnt-offering;

y dos tórtolas o dos palominos, según sus posibilidades; uno de ellos será para expiación por el pecado, y el otro para holocausto.

23 a nd he hath brought them in on the eighth day for his cleansing unto the priest, unto the opening of the tent of meeting, before Jehovah.

Ocho días después de su purificación llevará todo esto al sacerdote, a la entrada del tabernáculo de reunión, delante del Señor.

24 ` And the priest hath taken the lamb of the guilt-offering, and the log of oil, and the priest hath waved them -- a wave-offering before Jehovah;

Entonces el sacerdote tomará el cordero de la expiación por la culpa, y el medio litro de aceite, y los mecerá como ofrenda mecida delante del Señor.

25 a nd he hath slaughtered the lamb of the guilt-offering, and the priest hath taken of the blood of the guilt-offering, and hath put on the tip of the right ear of him who is to be cleansed, and on the thumb of his right hand, and on the great toe of his right foot;

Luego degollará el cordero de la culpa, y tomará un poco de la sangre de la culpa, y se la untará al que se purifica en el lóbulo de la oreja derecha, en el pulgar de la mano derecha y en el dedo gordo del pie derecho.

26 a nd the priest doth pour of the oil on the left palm of the priest;

Luego, el sacerdote echará un poco de aceite sobre la palma de su mano izquierda,

27 a nd the priest hath sprinkled with his right finger of the oil which on his left palm, seven times before Jehovah.

y con su dedo derecho rociará siete veces, delante del Señor, el aceite que tiene en la mano izquierda.

28 ` And the priest hath put of the oil which on his palm, on the tip of the right ear of him who is to be cleansed, and on the thumb of his right hand, and on the great toe of his right foot, on the place of the blood of the guilt-offering;

Además, el aceite que tiene en la mano se lo untará al que se purifica en el lóbulo de la oreja derecha, en el pulgar de la mano derecha y en el dedo gordo del pie derecho, junto al lugar de la sangre de la culpa.

29 a nd the remnant of the oil which on the palm of the priest he doth put on the head of him who is to be cleansed, to make atonement for him, before Jehovah.

El aceite que el sacerdote tenga aún en la mano lo untará en la cabeza del que se purifica, para reconciliarlo delante del Señor.

30 ` And he hath made the one of the turtle-doves, or of the young pigeons (from that which his hand reacheth to,

Ofrecerá además una de las tórtolas o uno de los palominos, según sus posibilidades;

31 t hat which his hand reacheth to), the one a sin-offering, and the one a burnt offering, besides the present, and the priest hath made atonement for him who is to be cleansed before Jehovah.

uno de ellos como sacrificio de expiación por el pecado, y el otro en holocausto, además de la ofrenda. Así el sacerdote hará expiación delante del Señor por el que se purifica.»

32 T his a law of him in whom a plague of leprosy, whose hand reacheth not to his cleansing.'

Esta ley es para los que han tenido una plaga de lepra y no tienen más que dar para su purificación.

33 A nd Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, and unto Aaron, saying,

El Señor habló con Moisés y Aarón, y les dijo:

34 ` When ye come in unto the land of Canaan, which I am giving to you for a possession, and I have put a plague of leprosy in a house the land of your possession;

«Cuando ustedes hayan entrado ya en la tierra de Canaán, la cual yo les doy en posesión, si acaso pongo plaga de lepra en alguna casa de esa tierra,

35 t hen hath he whose the house come in and declared to the priest, saying, As a plague hath appeared to me in the house;

el dueño de la casa se presentará ante el sacerdote y le dirá: “En mi casa ha aparecido algo que parece una plaga.”

36 a nd the priest hath commanded, and they have prepared the house before the priest cometh in to see the plague (that all which in the house be not unclean), and afterwards doth the priest come in to see the house;

»Antes de entrar a examinar la plaga, el sacerdote mandará desocupar la casa, para que no se contamine todo lo que haya en ella; después de eso, el sacerdote entrará y la examinará.

37 a nd he hath seen the plague, and lo, the plague in the walls of the house, hollow strakes, very green or very red, and their appearance lower than the wall,

Si al examinarla se ve que la casa tiene en las paredes manchas verdosas o rojizas, y que éstas se ven más hundidas que la superficie de la pared,

38 a nd the priest hath gone out of the house unto the opening of the house, and hath shut up the house seven days.

el sacerdote saldrá de la casa y la mantendrá cerrada durante siete días.

39 ` And the priest hath turned back on the seventh day, and hath seen, and lo, the plague hath spread in the walls of the house,

Al séptimo día, volverá y la examinará. Si la plaga se ha extendido por las paredes de la casa,

40 a nd the priest hath commanded, and they have drawn out the stones in which the plague, and have cast them unto the outside of the city, unto an unclean place;

el sacerdote ordenará que se quiten las piedras donde esté la plaga, y que sean arrojadas fuera de la ciudad, en un lugar impuro.

41 a nd the house he doth cause to be scraped within round about, and they have poured out the clay which they have scraped off, at the outside of the city, at an unclean place;

Luego ordenará que se raspe la casa por dentro y a su alrededor, que el barro raspado se arroje fuera de la ciudad, en un lugar impuro,

42 a nd they have taken other stones, and brought in unto the place of the stones, and other clay he taketh and hath daubed the house.

y que las piedras que se hayan quitado se repongan con otras piedras nuevas, y que se recubra la casa con barro nuevo.

43 ` And if the plague return, and hath broken out in the house, after he hath drawn out the stones, and after the scraping of the house, and after the daubing;

»Si después de arrancar las piedras y de raspar la casa, y de haberla recubierto con barro nuevo, la plaga vuelve a brotar,

44 t hen hath the priest come in and seen, and lo, the plague hath spread in the house; it a fretting leprosy in the house; it unclean.

el sacerdote irá a la casa y la examinará. Si la plaga parece haberse extendido en la casa, entonces se trata de lepra maligna y la casa será declarada impura.

45 ` And he hath broken down the house, its stones, and its wood, and all the clay of the house, and he hath brought forth unto the outside of the city, unto an unclean place.

Por lo tanto, se derribará la casa, y sus piedras y maderos, y toda la mezcla, se arrojarán fuera de la ciudad, en un lugar impuro.

46 ` And he who is going in unto the house all the days he hath shut it up, is unclean till the evening;

»Cualquiera que entre en esa casa durante los días en que el sacerdote ordenó cerrarla, se quedará impuro hasta el anochecer.

47 a nd he who is lying in the house doth wash his garments; and he who is eating in the house doth wash his garments.

»Cualquiera que duerma en esa casa deberá lavar sus vestidos. »Cualquiera que coma en esa casa deberá lavar sus vestidos.

48 ` And if the priest certainly come in, and hath seen, and lo, the plague hath not spread in the house after the daubing of the house, then hath the priest pronounced the house clean, for the plague hath been healed.

»Pero si el sacerdote entra a examinarla, y ve que la plaga no se ha extendido en la casa después de haber sido recubierta, declarará limpia la casa porque la plaga ha desaparecido.

49 ` And he hath taken for the cleansing of the house two birds, and cedar wood, and scarlet, and hyssop;

Para limpiar la casa tomará dos aves, madera de cedro, grana e hisopo,

50 a nd he hath slaughtered the one bird upon an earthen vessel, over running water;

y degollará una de las aves en una vasija de barro con agua corriente.

51 a nd he hath taken the cedar wood, and the hyssop, and the scarlet, and the living bird, and hath dipped them in the blood of the slaughtered bird, and in the running water, and hath sprinkled upon the house seven times.

Tomará luego el cedro, el hisopo, la grana y el ave viva, y los mojará en la sangre del ave muerta y en las aguas corrientes, y rociará la casa siete veces.

52 ` And he hath cleansed the house with the blood of the bird, and with the running water, and with the living bird, and with the cedar wood, and with the hyssop, and with the scarlet;

Purificará la casa con la sangre del ave, con el agua corriente, y con el ave viva, la madera de cedro, el hisopo y la grana.

53 a nd he hath sent away the living bird unto the outside of the city unto the face of the field, and hath made atonement for the house, and it hath been clean.

Luego soltará el ave viva en el campo, fuera de la ciudad. Así el sacerdote hará expiación por la casa, y ésta quedará purificada.»

54 ` This the law for every plague of the leprosy and for scall,

Ésta es la ley acerca de toda plaga de lepra y de tiña,

55 a nd for leprosy of a garment, and of a house,

y de lepra del vestido y de la casa,

56 a nd for a rising, and for a scab, and for a bright spot, --

y acerca de la hinchazón, la erupción y la mancha blanca,

57 t o direct in the day of being unclean, and in the day of being clean; this the law of the leprosy.'

para enseñar al pueblo lo que es puro y lo que es impuro. Ésta es la ley acerca de la lepra.
