1 A nd Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,

El Señor habló con Moisés, y le dijo:

2 ` Make to thee two trumpets of silver; beaten work thou dost make them, and they have been to thee for the convocation of the company, and for the journeying of the camps;

«Haz dos trompetas de plata, labradas a martillo. Ellas te servirán para convocar a la congregación y para poner en movimiento a los campamentos.

3 a nd they have blown with them, and all the company have met together unto thee, unto the opening of the tent of meeting.

Cuando se toquen, toda la congregación se reunirá ante ti, a la puerta del tabernáculo de reunión.

4 A nd if with one they blow, then have the princes, heads of the thousands of Israel, met together unto thee;

Si se toca una sola de ellas, entonces se congregarán ante ti los príncipes, es decir, los jefes de las legiones de Israel.

5 ` And ye have blown -- a shout, and the camps which are encamping eastward have journeyed.

Cuando ustedes den el toque de alarma, entonces se pondrán en movimiento los campamentos que estén acampados al oriente.

6 ` And ye have blown -- a second shout, and the camps which are encamping southward have journeyed; a shout they blow for their journeys.

Cuando den un segundo toque de alarma, se pondrán en movimiento los campamentos que estén acampados al sur; el toque de alarma anunciará su partida.

7 ` And in the assembling of the assembly ye blow, and do not shout;

Pero para reunir a la congregación, el toque de alarma será diferente.

8 a nd sons of Aaron, the priests, blow with the trumpets; and they have been to you for a statute age-during to your generations.

»Los hijos de Aarón, es decir, los sacerdotes, tocarán las trompetas. Éste será un estatuto perpetuo para ustedes y para sus descendientes.

9 ` And when ye go into battle in your land against the adversary who is distressing you, then ye have shouted with the trumpets, and ye have been remembered before Jehovah your God, and ye have been saved from your enemies.

Y cuando en su tierra salgan a la guerra contra el enemigo que los ataque, darán el toque de alarma con las trompetas, para que yo, el Señor su Dios, me acuerde de ustedes y los salve de sus enemigos.

10 ` And in the day of your gladness, and in your appointed seasons, and in the beginnings of your months, ye have blown also with the trumpets over your burnt-offerings, and over the sacrifices of your peace-offerings, and they have been to you for a memorial before your God; I, Jehovah, your God.'

»Durante sus fiestas solemnes de principio de mes, tocarán las trompetas para anunciar sus holocaustos y sus sacrificios de paz, y yo, el Señor su Dios, me acordaré de ustedes.» Los israelitas parten de Sinaí

11 A nd it cometh to pass -- in the second year, in the second month, in the twentieth of the month -- the cloud hath gone up from off the tabernacle of the testimony,

El día veinte del mes segundo del año segundo, la nube se levantó del tabernáculo del testimonio

12 a nd the sons of Israel journey in their journeyings from the wilderness of Sinai, and the cloud doth tabernacle in the wilderness of Paran;

y, siguiendo la orden de ponerse en marcha, los hijos de Israel partieron del desierto de Sinaí, y la nube se detuvo en el desierto de Parán.

13 a nd they journey at first, by the command of Jehovah, in the hand of Moses.

Partieron por primera vez, siguiendo la orden del Señor por medio de Moisés.

14 A nd the standard of the camp of the sons of Judah journeyeth in the first, by their hosts, and over its host Nahshon son of Amminadab.

Los primeros en ponerse en marcha fueron los ejércitos del campamento de los hijos de Judá, bajo su bandera y comandados por Nasón hijo de Aminadab.

15 A nd over the host of the tribe of the sons of Issachar Nathaneel son of Zuar.

El ejército de la tribu de los hijos de Isacar estaba comandado por Natanael hijo de Suar.

16 A nd over the host of the tribe of the sons of Zebulun Eliab son of Helon;

El ejército de la tribu de los hijos de Zabulón estaba comandado por Eliab hijo de Helón.

17 A nd the tabernacle hath been taken down, and the sons of Gershon and the sons of Merari have journeyed, bearing the tabernacle.

Los hijos de Gersón y los hijos de Merari, que estaban a cargo de llevar el tabernáculo, se pusieron en marcha después de desarmarlo.

18 A nd the standard of the camp of Reuben hath journeyed, by their hosts, and over its host Elizur son of Shedeur.

Luego se pusieron en marcha los ejércitos y la bandera del campamento de Rubén, comandados por Elisur hijo de Sedeur.

19 A nd over the host of the tribe of the sons of Simeon Shelumiel son of Zurishaddai.

Al mando del ejército de la tribu de los hijos de Simeón estaba Selumiel hijo de Surisaday,

20 A nd over the host of the tribe of the sons of Gad Eliasaph son of Deuel;

y al mando del ejército de la tribu de los hijos de Gad estaba Eliasaf hijo de Deuel.

21 A nd the Kohathites have journeyed, bearing the tabernacle, and the have raised up the tabernacle until their coming in.

Luego se pusieron en movimiento los coatitas, que llevaban el santuario, y mientras ellos llegaban, los otros acondicionaron el tabernáculo.

22 A nd the standard of the camp of the sons of Ephraim hath journeyed, by their hosts, and over its host Elishama son of Ammihud.

Después se pusieron en marcha los ejércitos y la bandera del campamento de los hijos de Efraín, bajo el mando de Elisama hijo de Amiud.

23 A nd over the host of the tribe of the sons of Manasseh Gamalial son of Pedahzur.

Al mando del ejército de la tribu de los hijos de Manasés estaba Gamaliel hijo de Pedasur,

24 A nd over the host of the tribe of the sons of Benjamin Abidan son of Gideoni.

y al mando del ejército de la tribu de los hijos de Benjamín estaba Abidán hijo de Gedeoni.

25 A nd the standard of the camp of the sons of Dan hath journeyed (rearward to all the camps), by their hosts, and over its host Ahiezer son of Ammishaddai.

A continuación, y cerrando la marcha de todos los campamentos, se pusieron en movimiento los ejércitos y la bandera del campamento de los hijos de Dan, bajo el mando de Ajiezer hijo de Amisaday.

26 A nd over the host of the tribe of the sons of Asher Pagiel son of Ocran.

Al mando del ejército de la tribu de los hijos de Aser estaba Pagiel hijo de Ocrán,

27 A nd over the host of the tribe of the sons of Naphtali Ahira son of Enan.

y al mando del ejército de la tribu de los hijos de Neftalí estaba Ajirá hijo de Enán.

28 T hese journeyings of the sons of Israel by their hosts -- and they journey.

Cada vez que se ponían en marcha, éste era el orden de los ejércitos de los hijos de Israel.

29 A nd Moses saith to Hobab son of Raguel the Midianite, father-in-law of Moses, `We are journeying unto the place of which Jehovah hath said, I give it to you; go with us, and we have done good to thee; for Jehovah hath spoken good concerning Israel.'

Entonces Moisés le dijo a su suegro, es decir, al madianita Hobab hijo de Ragüel: «Nosotros estamos en camino, hacia el lugar que el Señor prometió darnos. Ven con nosotros, que cuidaremos de ti, porque el Señor ha prometido cuidar de Israel.»

30 A nd he saith unto him, `I do not go; but unto my land and unto my kindred do I go.'

Pero Hobab le respondió: «No puedo ir. Voy a volver a mi tierra, donde está mi parentela.»

31 A nd he saith, `I pray thee, forsake us not, because thou hast known our encamping in the wilderness, and thou hast been to us for eyes;

Moisés insistió: «Por favor, no nos dejes. Tú conoces los lugares donde debemos de acampar en el desierto, y nos servirás de guía.

32 a nd it hath come to pass when thou goest with us, yea, it hath come to pass -- that good which Jehovah doth kindly with us -- it we have done kindly to thee.'

Si vienes con nosotros, cuidaremos de ti, así como el Señor cuidará de nosotros.»

33 A nd they journey from the mount of Jehovah a journey of three days; and the ark of the covenant of Jehovah is journeying before them the journey of three days, to spy out for them a resting-place;

Y así partieron del monte del Señor y caminaron tres días. El arca del pacto del Señor se adelantó a ellos tres días, para buscarles un lugar donde descansar.

34 a nd the cloud of Jehovah on them by day, in their journeying from the camp.

Y durante el día, desde que salieron del campamento, la nube del Señor los cubría.

35 A nd it cometh to pass in the journeying of the ark, that Moses saith, `Rise, O Jehovah, and Thine enemies are scattered, and those hating Thee flee from Thy presence.'

Cuando el arca se ponía en marcha, Moisés decía: «Levántate, Señor, y que tus enemigos se dispersen; ¡que huyan de tu presencia los que te aborrecen!»

36 A nd in its resting he saith, `Return, O Jehovah, the myriads, the thousands of Israel.'

Y cuando se detenía, Moisés decía: «¡Vuelve, Señor, vuelve a las legiones de legiones de Israel!»
