1 B y Solomon. O God, Thy judgments to the king give, And Thy righteousness to the king's son.

¡Concédele, oh Dios, al rey juzgar como tú, y concédele al hijo del rey tu justicia!

2 H e judgeth Thy people with righteousness, And Thy poor with judgment.

¡Concédele juzgar a tu pueblo con justicia, y con buen juicio a los afligidos de tu pueblo!

3 T he mountains bear peace to the people, And the heights by righteousness.

¡Que los montes brinden paz al pueblo, y las colinas ofrezcan justicia!

4 H e judgeth the poor of the people, Giveth deliverance to the sons of the needy, And bruiseth the oppressor.

Así el rey juzgará a los afligidos del pueblo, salvará a los hijos de los menesterosos, y aplastará a los opresores.

5 T hey fear Thee with the sun, and before the moon, Generation -- generations.

Tu pueblo te temerá de generación en generación mientras el sol y la luna existan.

6 H e cometh down as rain on mown grass, As showers -- sprinkling the earth.

Que sea el rey como la lluvia que cae sobre la hierba, y como el rocío que empapa la tierra

7 F lourish in his days doth the righteous, And abundance of peace till the moon is not.

Que haya en sus días justicia y mucha paz, hasta que la luna deje de existir.

8 A nd he ruleth from sea unto sea, And from the river unto the ends of earth.

Que su dominio se extienda de mar a mar, desde el gran río hasta los límites de la tierra.

9 B efore him bow do the inhabitants of the dry places, And his enemies lick the dust.

Que ante él se rindan los habitantes del desierto, y que sus enemigos muerdan el polvo.

10 K ings of Tarshish and of the isles send back a present. Kings of Sheba and Seba a reward bring near.

Que los reyes de Tarsis y de las costas le paguen tributo, y que los reyes de Sabá y de Sebá le ofrezcan regalos.

11 A nd all kings do bow themselves to him, All nations do serve him,

Que todos los reyes se inclinen en su presencia, y que todas las naciones le sirvan.

12 F or he delivereth the needy who crieth, And the poor when he hath no helper,

Que salve el rey al pobre que le pida ayuda, y al afligido que no tenga quien le socorra.

13 H e hath pity on the poor and needy, And the souls of the needy he saveth,

Que se compadezca del pobre y del menesteroso, y que les salve la vida a los pobres.

14 F rom fraud and from violence he redeemeth their soul, And precious is their blood in his eyes.

Que los salve del engaño y de la violencia, y que la sangre de ellos sea a sus ojos muy valiosa.

15 A nd he liveth, and giveth to him of the gold of Sheba, And prayeth for him continually, All the day he doth bless him.

¡Que viva el rey! ¡Que reciba el oro de Sabá! ¡Que se ore por él siempre! ¡Que a todas horas se le bendiga!

16 T here is a handful of corn in the earth, On the top of mountains, Shake like Lebanon doth its fruit, And they flourish out of the city as the herb of the earth.

¡Que sea en las cumbres de los montes como un puñado de grano que cae en la tierra! ¡Que sea tan productivo como el monte Líbano, y que en la ciudad haya tanta gente como hierba hay en el campo!

17 H is name is to the age, Before the sun is his name continued, And they bless themselves in him, All nations do pronounce him happy.

¡Que su nombre sea siempre recordado! ¡Que su nombre permanezca mientras el sol exista! ¡Que todas las naciones sean bendecidas por él, y que lo llamen bienaventurado!

18 B lessed is Jehovah God, God of Israel, He alone is doing wonders,

¡Bendito sea el Señor, el Dios de Israel! ¡Sólo el Señor hace maravillas!

19 A nd blessed the Name of His honour to the age, And the whole earth is filled His honour. Amen, and amen!

¡Bendito sea por siempre su glorioso nombre! ¡Que toda la tierra sea llena de su gloria! ¡Amén y Amén!
