1 A nd there is a word of Jehovah unto me, saying:

La palabra del Señor vino a mí, y me dijo:

2 ` Son of man, set thy face unto Gog, of the land of Magog, prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal, and prophesy concerning him,

«Hijo de hombre, dirige ahora la mirada hacia Gog de Magog, príncipe soberano de la tierra de Mesec y Tubal, y profetiza contra él.

3 a nd thou hast said: Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Lo, I against thee, O Gog, Prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal,

Dile que así ha dicho Dios el Señor: »Escucha, Gog, príncipe soberano de Mesec y Tubal: Yo estoy contra ti.

4 A nd I have turned thee back, And I have put hooks in thy jaws, And have brought thee out, and all thy force, Horses and horsemen, Clothed in perfection all of them, A numerous assembly, buckler and shield, Handling swords -- all of them.

Voy a quebrantarte; voy a ponerte garfios en las quijadas, para echarte fuera de tu país junto con todo tu ejército, y con tus caballos y jinetes, que están bien armados con infinidad de espadas, paveses y escudos.

5 P ersia, Cush, and Phut, with them, All of them shield and helmet.

Contigo están Persia, Cus y Fut, y todos ellos cuentan con escudos y yelmos;

6 G omer and all its bands, The house of Togarmah of the sides of the north, And all its bands, many peoples with thee,

contigo están Gomer y todas sus tropas, y la gente de Togarmá, que habita en los confines del norte, y todas sus tropas, y muchos otros pueblos.

7 B e prepared, yea, prepare for thee, Thou and all thine assemblies who are assembled unto thee, And thou hast been to them for a guard.

»Prepárate y apertréchate, tú y todo el ejército que se ha reunido contigo, y manténte alerta.

8 A fter many days thou art appointed, In the latter end of the years thou comest in unto a land brought back from sword, gathered out of many peoples, Upon mountains of Israel, That have been for a perpetual waste, And it from the peoples hath been brought out, And dwelt safely have all of them.

Dentro de algunos años vendré a visitarte para que vayas a la tierra que recogí de entre muchos pueblos. A sus habitantes los saqué de esas naciones, y los libré de la espada. Ahora habitan en los montes de Israel, que siempre estuvieron en ruinas, y todos ellos viven despreocupados.

9 A nd thou hast gone up -- as wasting thou comest in, As a cloud to cover the land art thou, Thou and all thy bands, and many peoples with thee.

Pero tú invadirás esa tierra. Tú y todas tus tropas, y todos los ejércitos que te acompañan vendrán sobre ella como una tempestad, ¡la cubrirán como una nube!»

10 T hus said the Lord Jehovah: And it hath come to pass in that day, Come up do things on thy heart, And thou hast thought an evil thought,

Así ha dicho Dios el Señor: «Cuando llegue el día, te vendrán a la mente ideas y pensamientos malvados,

11 A nd thou hast said: I go up against a land of unwalled villages, I go in to those at rest, dwelling confidently, All of them are dwelling without walls, And bar and doors they have not.

y dirás: “Voy a invadir un país indefenso. Voy a atacar a gente tranquila, que vive despreocupada. Todos ellos habitan en ciudades sin murallas, ni puertas ni cerrojos.”

12 T o take a spoil, and to take a prey, To turn back thy hand on inhabited wastes, And on a people gathered out of nations, Making cattle and substance, Dwelling on a high part of the land.

Y los despojarás de todo y tomarás botín entre ellos, y pondrás tus manos sobre tierras antes desiertas y ahora pobladas, y sobre el pueblo que recogí de entre las naciones, y que ahora tiene ganado y posesiones, y habita en el corazón de la tierra.

13 S heba, and Dedan, and merchants of Tarshish, And all its young lions say to thee: To take a spoil art thou come in? To take a prey assembled thine assembly? To bear away silver and gold? To take away cattle and substance? To take a great spoil?

Sabá y Dedán, y los mercaderes de Tarsis y todos sus príncipes, te dirán: “¿Has venido a despojarnos de lo nuestro? ¿Has reunido a tu ejército para tomar botín y quitarnos nuestra plata y oro, y ganados y posesiones, y despojarnos de todo?”

14 T herefore, prophesy, son of man, and thou hast said to Gog: Thus said the Lord Jehovah: In that day, in the dwelling of My people Israel safely, Dost thou not know?

»Por lo tanto, hijo de hombre, profetiza y dile a Gog que así ha dicho Dios el Señor: “Cuando llegue el día en que mi pueblo Israel viva tranquilo, seguramente tú lo sabrás.

15 A nd thou hast come in out of thy place, From the sides of the north, Thou and many peoples with thee, Riding on horses -- all of them, A great assembly, and a numerous force.

Entonces vendrás de tu país, de las regiones del norte, y contigo vendrán grandes y poderosos ejércitos, todos ellos a caballo,

16 A nd thou hast come up against My people Israel, As a cloud to cover the land, In the latter end of the days it is, And I have brought thee in against My land, In order that the nations may know Me, In My being sanctified in thee before their eyes, O Gog.

y atacarás a mi pueblo Israel y cubrirás la tierra como un nubarrón. Cuando llegue el momento, permitiré que ataques a mi tierra, para que las naciones me conozcan. Entonces, Gog, seré santificado en ti delante de sus ojos.”»

17 T hus said the Lord Jehovah: Art thou he of whom I spake in former days, By the hand of My servants, prophets of Israel, Who are prophesying in those days -- years, To bring thee in against them?

Así ha dicho Dios el Señor: «¿Acaso no eres tú de quien yo hablaba en tiempos pasados por medio de mis siervos, los profetas de Israel? En aquellos tiempos ellos profetizaron que yo habría de hacer que vinieras y atacaras a mi pueblo:

18 A nd it hath come to pass, in that day, In the day of the coming in of Gog against the land of Israel, An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah, Come up doth My fury in My face,

“Cuando llegue el día en que Gog venga y ataque a la tierra de Israel, se encenderán mi ira y mi furor.” Palabra de Dios el Señor.

19 A nd in My zeal, in the fire of My wrath, I have spoken: Is there not in that day a great rushing on the land of Israel?

»Sí, lo dije en el momento en que ardían mi ira y mi furor. Y dije que ese día habría un gran temblor de tierra en Israel;

20 A nd rushed from My presence have fishes of the sea, And the fowl of the heavens, And the beast of the field, And every creeping thing that is creeping on the ground, And all men who on the face of the ground, And thrown down have been the mountains, And fallen have the ascents, And every wall to the earth falleth.

que ante mí temblarían los peces del mar, las aves del cielo, las bestias salvajes y toda clase de reptiles, lo mismo que todo el género humano sobre la faz de la tierra. También dije que los montes y las colinas se desmoronarían, y que todas las murallas se vendrían abajo,

21 A nd I have called against him, to all My mountains a sword, An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah, The sword of each is against his brother.

y que en todos mis montes convocaría a entrar en combate, y que unos y otros se matarían a filo de espada. Palabra de Dios el Señor.

22 A nd I have been judged with him, With pestilence and with blood, And an overflowing rain and hailstones, Fire and brimstone I rain on him, and on his bands, And on many peoples who with him.

»Así es, Gog: Yo te castigaré con peste y sangre. Sobre ti y sobre tus tropas, y sobre los numerosos ejércitos que están contigo, dejaré caer una lluvia impetuosa, y piedras de granizo, fuego y azufre.

23 A nd I have magnified Myself, and sanctified Myself, And I have been known before the eyes of many nations, And they have known that I Jehovah!

Así seré engrandecido, santificado y reconocido a los ojos de muchas naciones, y así sabrán que yo soy el Señor.
