1 A nd it cometh to pass in the days of Amraphel king of Shinar, Arioch king of Ellasar, Chedorlaomer king of Elam, and Tidal king of Goyim,

Aconteceu nos dias de Anrafel, rei de Sinar, Arioque, rei de Elasar, Quedorlaomer, rei de Elão, e Tidal, rei de Goiim,

2 t hey have made war with Bera king of Sodom, and with Birsha king of Gomorrah, Shinab king of Admah, and Shemeber king of Zeboim, and the king of Bela, which Zoar.

que estes fizeram guerra a Bera, rei de Sodoma, a Birsa, rei de Gomorra, a Sinabe, rei de Admá, a Semeber, rei de Zeboim, e ao rei de Belá (esta é Zoar).

3 A ll these have been joined together unto the valley of Siddim, which the Salt Sea;

Todos estes se ajuntaram no vale de Sidim (que é o Mar Salgado).

4 t welve years they served Chedorlaomer, and the thirteenth year they rebelled.

Doze anos haviam servido a Quedorlaomer, mas ao décimo terceiro ano rebelaram-se.

5 A nd in the fourteenth year came Chedorlaomer, and the kings who with him, and they smite the Rephaim in Ashteroth Karnaim, and the Zuzim in Ham, and the Emim in Shaveh Kiriathaim,

Por isso, ao décimo quarto ano veio Quedorlaomer, e os reis que estavam com ele, e feriram aos refains em Asterote-Carnaim, aos zuzins em Hão, aos emins em Savé-Quiriataim,

6 a nd the Horites in their mount Seir, unto El-Paran, which by the wilderness;

e aos horeus no seu monte Seir, até El-Parã, que está junto ao deserto.

7 a nd they turn back and come in unto En-Mishpat, which Kadesh, and smite the whole field of the Amalekite, and also the Amorite who is dwelling in Hazezon-Tamar.

Depois voltaram e vieram a En-Mispate (que é Cades), e feriram toda a terra dos amalequitas, e também dos amorreus, que habitavam em Hazazom-Tamar.

8 A nd the king of Sodom goeth out, and the king of Gomorrah, and the king of Admah, and the king of Zeboim, and the king of Bela, which Zoar; and they set the battle in array with them in the valley of Siddim,

Então saíram os reis de Sodoma, de Gomorra, de Admá, de Zeboim e de Belá (esta é Zoar), e ordenaram batalha contra eles no vale de Sidim,

9 w ith Chedorlaomer king of Elam, and Tidal king of Goyim, and Amraphel king of Shinar, and Arioch king of Ellasar; four kings with the five.

contra Quedorlaomer, rei de Elão, Tidal, rei de Goiim, Anrafel, rei de Sinar, e Arioque, rei de Elasar; quatro reis contra cinco.

10 A nd the valley of Siddim full of bitumen-pits; and the kings of Sodom and Gomorrah flee, and fall there, and those left have fled to the mountain.

Ora, o vale de Sidim estava cheio de poços de betume; e fugiram os reis de Sodoma e de Gomorra, e caíram ali; e os restantes fugiram para o monte.

11 A nd they take the whole substance of Sodom and Gomorrah, and the whole of their food, and go away;

Tomaram, então, todos os bens de Sodoma e de Gomorra com todo o seu mantimento, e se foram.

12 a nd they take Lot, Abram's brother's son (seeing he is dwelling in Sodom), and his substance, and go away.

Tomaram também a Ló, filho do irmão de Abrão, que habitava em Sodoma, e os bens dele, e partiram.

13 A nd one who is escaping cometh and declareth to Abram the Hebrew, and he is dwelling among the oaks of Mamre the Amorite, brother of Eshcol, and brother of Aner, and they Abram's allies.

Então veio um que escapara, e o contou a Abrão, o hebreu. Ora, este habitava junto dos carvalhos de Manre, o amorreu, irmão de Escol e de Aner; estes eram aliados de Abrão.

14 A nd Abram heareth that his brother hath been taken captive, and he draweth out his trained domestics, three hundred and eighteen, and pursueth unto Dan.

Ouvindo, pois, Abrão que seu irmão estava preso, levou os seus homens treinados, nascidos em sua casa, em número de trezentos e dezoito, e perseguiu os reis até Dã.

15 A nd he divideth himself against them by night, he and his servants, and smiteth them, and pursueth them unto Hobah, which at the left of Damascus;

Dividiu-se contra eles de noite, ele e os seus servos, e os feriu, perseguindo-os até Hobá, que fica ã esquerda de Damasco.

16 a nd he bringeth back the whole of the substance, and also Lot his brother and his substance hath he brought back, and also the women and the people.

Assim tornou a trazer todos os bens, e tornou a trazer também a Ló, seu irmão, e os bens dele, e também as mulheres e o povo.

17 A nd the king of Sodom goeth out to meet him (after his turning back from the smiting of Chedorlaomer, and of the kings who with him), unto the valley of Shaveh, which the king's valley.

Depois que Abrão voltou de ferir a Quedorlaomer e aos reis que estavam com ele, saiu-lhe ao encontro o rei de Sodoma, no vale de Savé (que é o vale do rei).

18 A nd Melchizedek king of Salem hath brought out bread and wine, and he priest of God Most High;

Ora, Melquisedeque, rei de Salém, trouxe pão e vinho; pois era sacerdote do Deus Altíssimo;

19 a nd he blesseth him, and saith, `Blessed Abram to God Most High, possessing heaven and earth;

e abençoou a Abrão, dizendo: bendito seja Abrão pelo Deus Altíssimo, o Criador dos céus e da terra!

20 a nd blessed God Most High, who hath delivered thine adversaries into thy hand;' and he giveth to him a tenth of all.

E bendito seja o Deus Altíssimo, que entregou os teus inimigos nas tuas mãos! E Abrão deu-lhe o dízimo de tudo.

21 A nd the king of Sodom saith unto Abram, `Give to me the persons, and the substance take to thyself,'

Então o rei de Sodoma disse a Abrão: Dá-me a mim as pessoas; e os bens toma-os para ti.

22 a nd Abram saith unto the king of Sodom, `I have lifted up my hand unto Jehovah, God Most High, possessing heaven and earth --

Abrão, porém, respondeu ao rei de Sodoma: Levanto minha mão ao Senhor, o Deus Altíssimo, o Criador dos céus e da terra,

23 f rom a thread even unto a shoe-latchet I take not of anything which thou hast, that thou say not, I -- I have made Abram rich;

jurando que não tomarei coisa alguma de tudo o que é teu, nem um fio, nem uma correia de sapato, para que não digas: Eu enriqueci a Abrão;

24 s ave only that which the young men have eaten, and the portion of the men who have gone with me -- Aner, Eshcol, and Mamre -- they take their portion.'

salvo tão somente o que os mancebos comeram, e a parte que toca aos homens Aner, Escol e Manre, que foram comigo; que estes tomem a sua parte.
