1 A nd lift me up doth a spirit, and it bringeth me in unto the east gate of the house of Jehovah, that is facing the east, and lo, at the opening of the gate twenty and five men, and I see in their midst Jaazaniah son of Azzur, and Pelatiah son of Benaiah, heads of the people.

Então me levantou o Espírito, e me levou ã porta oriental da casa do Senhor, a qual olha para o oriente; e eis que estavam ã entrada da porta vinte e cinco homens, e no meio deles vi a Jaazanias, filho de Azur, e a Pelatias, filho de Benaías, príncipes do povo.

2 A nd He saith unto me, `Son of man, these the men who are devising iniquity, and who are giving evil counsel in this city;

E disse-me: Filho do homem, estes são os homens que maquinam a iniqüidade, e dão ímpio conselho nesta cidade;

3 w ho are saying, It not near -- to build houses, it the pot, and we the flesh.

os quais dizem: Não está próximo o tempo de edificar casas; esta cidade é a caldeira, e nós somos a carne.

4 T herefore prophesy concerning them, prophesy, son of man.'

Portanto, profetiza contra eles; profetiza, ó filho do homem.

5 A nd fall upon me doth the Spirit of Jehovah, and He saith unto me, `Say: Thus said Jehovah: Rightly ye have said, O house of Israel, And the steps of your spirit I have known.

E caiu sobre mim o Espírito do Senhor, e disse-me: Fala: Assim diz o Senhor: Assim tendes dito, ó casa de Israel; pois eu conheço as coisas que vos entram na mente.

6 Y e multiplied your wounded in this city, And filled its out-places with the wounded.

Multiplicastes os vossos mortos nesta cidade, e enchestes as suas ruas de mortos.

7 T herefore, thus said the Lord Jehovah: Your wounded whom ye placed in its midst, They the flesh, and it the pot, And you he hath brought out from its midst.

Portanto, assim diz o Senhor Deus: Vossos mortos que deitastes no meio dela, esses são a carne, e ela é a caldeira; a vós, porém, vos tirarei do meio dela.

8 A sword ye have feared, And a sword I bring in against you, An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah.

Temestes a espada, e a espada eu a trarei sobre vós, diz o Senhor Deus.

9 A nd I have brought you out of its midst, And given you into the hand of strangers, And I have done among you judgments.

E vos farei sair do meio dela, e vos entregarei na mão de estrangeiros, e exercerei juizos entre vós.

10 B y the sword ye do fall, On the border of Israel I do judge you, And ye have known that I Jehovah.

Caireis ã espada; nos confins de Israel vos julgarei; e sabereis que eu sou o Senhor.

11 I t is not to you for a pot, Nor are ye in its midst for flesh, At the border of Israel I do judge you.

Esta cidade não vos servirá de caldeira, nem vós servirei de carne no meio dela; nos confins de Israel vos julgarei;

12 A nd ye have known that I Jehovah, For in My statutes ye have not walked, And My Judgments ye have not done, And according to the judgments of the nations Who are round about you -- ye have done!'

e sabereis que eu sou o Senhor; pois não tendes andado nos meus estatutos, nem executado as minhas ordenanças; antes tendes procedido conforme as ordenanças das nações que estão em redor de vós.

13 A nd it cometh to pass, at my prophesying, that Pelatiah son of Benaiah is dying, and I fall on my face, and cry -- a loud voice -- and say, `Ah, Lord Jehovah, an end Thou art making of the remnant of Israel.'

E aconteceu que, profetizando eu, morreu Pelatias, filho de Benaías. Então caí com o resto em terra, e clamei com grande voz, e disse: Ah Senhor Deus! darás fim cabal ao remanescente de Israel?

14 A nd there is a word of Jehovah unto me, saying,

Então veio a mim a palavra do Senhor, dizendo:

15 ` Son of man, thy brethren, thy brethren, men of thy kindred, and all the house of Israel -- all of it, they to whom inhabitants of Jerusalem have said, Keep far off from Jehovah;

Filho do homem, teus irmãos, os teus próprios irmãos, os homens de teu parentesco, e toda a casa de Israel, todos eles, são aqueles a quem os habitantes de Jerusalém disseram: Apartai-vos para longe do Senhor; a nós se nos deu esta terra em possessão.

16 i t ours, the land hath been given for an inheritance; therefore say: Thus said the Lord Jehovah: Because I put them afar off among nations, And because I scattered them through lands, I also am to them for a little sanctuary, In lands whither they have gone in.

Portanto, dize: Assim diz o Senhor Deus: Ainda que os mandei para longe entre as nações, e ainda que os espalhei pelas terras, todavia lhes servirei de santuário por um pouco de tempo, nas terras para onde foram.

17 T herefore say: Thus said the Lord Jehovah: And I have assembled you from the peoples, And I have gathered you from the lands, Into which ye have been scattered, And I have given to you the ground of Israel.

Portanto, dize: Assim diz o senhor Deus: Hei de ajuntar-vos do meio dos povos, e vos recolherei do meio das terras para onde fostes espalhados, e vos darei a terra de Israel.

18 A nd they have gone in thither. And turned aside all its detestable things, And all its abominations -- out of it.

E virão ali, e tirarão dela todas as suas coisas detestáveis e todas as suas abominações.

19 A nd I have given to them one heart, And a new spirit I do give in your midst, And I have turned the heart of stone out of their flesh, And I have given to them a heart of flesh.

E lhes darei um só coração, e porei dentro deles um novo espírito; e tirarei da sua carne o coração de pedra, e lhes darei um coração de carne,

20 S o that in My statutes they walk, And My judgments they keep, and have done them, And they have been to me for a people, And I am to them for God.

para que andem nos meus estatutos, e guardem as minhas ordenanças e as cumpram; e eles serão o meu povo, e eu serei o seu Deus.

21 A s to those whose heart is going unto the heart Of their detestable and their abominable things, Their way on their head I have put, An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah.'

Mas, quanto

22 A nd the cherubs lift up their wings, and the wheels over-against them, and the honour of the God of Israel over them above.

Então os querubins elevaram as suas asas, estando as rodas ao lado deles; e a glória do Deus de Israel estava em cima sobre eles.

23 A nd the honour of Jehovah goeth up from off the midst of the city, and standeth on the mountain, that on the east of the city.

E a glória do Senhor se alçou desde o meio da cidade, e se pôs sobre o monte que está ao oriente da cidade.

24 A nd a spirit hath lifted me up, and bringeth me in to Chaldea, unto the Removed, in a vision, by the Spirit of God, and go up from off me doth the vision that I have seen;

Então o Espírito me levantou, e me levou na visão pelo Espírito de Deus para a Caldéia, para os exilados. Assim se foi de mim a visão que eu tinha visto.

25 a nd I speak unto the Removed all the matters of Jehovah that He hath shewed me.

E falei aos do cativeiro todas as coisas que o Senhor me tinha mostrado.
