1 A Song of the Ascents. O the happiness of every one fearing Jehovah, Who is walking in His ways.

Bem-aventurado todo aquele que teme ao Senhor e anda nos seus caminhos.

2 T he labour of thy hands thou surely eatest, Happy thou, and good to thee.

Pois comerás do trabalho das tuas mãos; feliz serás, e te irá bem.

3 T hy wife as a fruitful vine in the sides of thy house, Thy sons as olive plants around thy table.

A tua mulher será como a videira frutífera, no interior da tua casa; os teus filhos como plantas de oliveira, ao redor da tua mesa.

4 L o, surely thus is the man blessed who is fearing Jehovah.

Eis que assim será abençoado o homem que teme ao Senhor.

5 J ehovah doth bless thee out of Zion, Look, then, on the good of Jerusalem, All the days of thy life,

De Sião o Senhor te abençoará; verás a prosperidade de Jerusalém por todos os dias da tua vida,

6 A nd see the sons of thy sons! Peace on Israel!

e verás os filhos de teus filhos. A paz seja sobre Israel.
