1 A nd Jehovah saith unto Moses, `Go in unto Pharaoh, and thou hast spoken unto him, Thus said Jehovah, God of the Hebrews, Send My people away, and they serve me,

Entonces el Señor dijo a Moisés: Ve a Faraón y dile: “Así dice el Señor, el Dios de los hebreos: ‘Deja ir a mi pueblo para que me sirva.

2 f or, if thou art refusing to send away, and art still keeping hold upon them,

‘Porque si te niegas a dejar los ir y los sigues deteniendo,

3 l o, the hand of Jehovah is on thy cattle which in the field, on horses, on asses, on camels, on herd, and on flock -- a pestilence very grievous.

he aquí, la mano del Señor vendrá con gravísima pestilencia sobre tus ganados que están en el campo: sobre los caballos, sobre los asnos, sobre los camellos, sobre las vacadas y sobre las ovejas.

4 ` And Jehovah hath separated between the cattle of Israel and the cattle of Egypt, and there doth not die a thing of all the sons of Israel's;

‘Pero el Señor hará distinción entre los ganados de Israel y los ganados de Egipto, y nada perecerá de todo lo que pertenece a los hijos de Israel.’”

5 a nd Jehovah setteth an appointed time, saying, To-morrow doth Jehovah do this thing in the land.'

Y el Señor fijó un plazo definido, diciendo: Mañana el Señor hará esto en la tierra.

6 A nd Jehovah doth this thing on the morrow, and all the cattle of Egypt die, and of the cattle of the sons of Israel not one hath died;

Y el Señor hizo esto al día siguiente, y perecieron todos los ganados de Egipto; pero de los ganados de los hijos de Israel, ni un solo animal murió.

7 a nd Pharaoh sendeth, and lo, not even one of the cattle of Israel hath died, and the heart of Pharaoh is hard, and he hath not sent the people away.

Y Faraón envió a ver, y he aquí, ni un solo animal de los ganados de Israel había perecido. Pero el corazón de Faraón se endureció y no dejó ir al pueblo. Sexta plaga: las úlceras

8 A nd Jehovah saith unto Moses and unto Aaron, `Take to you the fulness of your hands soot of a furnace, and Moses hath sprinkled it towards the heavens, before the eyes of Pharaoh,

Entonces el Señor dijo a Moisés y a Aarón: Tomad puñados de hollín de un horno, y que Moisés lo esparza hacia el cielo en presencia de Faraón;

9 a nd it hath become small dust over all the land of Egypt, and it hath become on man and on cattle a boil breaking forth blains, in all the land of Egypt.'

y se convertirá en polvo fino sobre toda la tierra de Egipto, y producirá furúnculos que resultarán en úlceras en los hombres y en los animales, por toda la tierra de Egipto.

10 A nd they take the soot of the furnace, and stand before Pharaoh, and Moses sprinkleth it towards the heavens, and it is a boil blains, breaking forth, on man and on beast;

Tomaron, pues, hollín de un horno, y se presentaron delante de Faraón, y Moisés lo arrojó hacia el cielo, y produjo furúnculos que resultaron en úlceras en los hombres y en los animales.

11 a nd the scribes have not been able to stand before Moses, because of the boil, for the boil hath been on the scribes, and on all the Egyptians.

Y los magos no podían estar delante de Moisés a causa de los furúnculos, pues los furúnculos estaban tanto en los magos como en todos los egipcios.

12 A nd Jehovah strengtheneth the heart of Pharaoh, and he hath not hearkened unto them, as Jehovah hath spoken unto Moses.

Y el Señor endureció el corazón de Faraón y no los escuchó, tal como el Señor había dicho a Moisés. Séptima plaga: el granizo

13 A nd Jehovah saith unto Moses, `Rise early in the morning, and station thyself before Pharaoh, and thou hast said unto him, Thus said Jehovah, God of the Hebrews, Send My people away, and they serve Me,

Entonces dijo el Señor a Moisés: Levántate muy de mañana, y ponte delante de Faraón, y dile: “Así dice el Señor, el Dios de los hebreos: ‘Deja ir a mi pueblo para que me sirva.

14 f or, at this time I am sending all My plagues unto thy heart, and on thy servants, and on thy people, so that thou knowest that there is none like Me in all the earth,

‘Porque esta vez enviaré todas mis plagas sobre ti, sobre tus siervos y sobre tu pueblo, para que sepas que no hay otro como yo en toda la tierra.

15 f or now I have put forth My hand, and I smite thee, and thy people, with pestilence, and thou art hidden from the earth.

‘Porque si yo hubiera extendido mi mano y te hubiera herido a ti y a tu pueblo con pestilencia, ya habrías sido cortado de la tierra.

16 ` And yet for this I have caused thee to stand, so as to show thee My power, and for the sake of declaring My Name in all the earth;

‘Pero en verdad, por esta razón te he permitido permanecer: para mostrarte mi poder y para proclamar mi nombre por toda la tierra.

17 s till thou art exalting thyself against My people -- so as not to send them away;

‘ Y todavía te enalteces contra mi pueblo no dejándolos ir.

18 l o, I am raining about time to-morrow hail very grievous, such as hath not been in Egypt, even from the day of its being founded, even until now.

‘He aquí, mañana como a esta hora, enviaré granizo muy pesado, tal como no ha habido en Egipto desde el día en que fue fundado hasta ahora.

19 ` And, now, send, strengthen thy cattle and all that thou hast in the field; every man and beast which is found in the field, and is not gathered into the house -- come down on them hath the hail, and they have died.'

‘Ahora pues, manda poner a salvo tus ganados y todo lo que tienes en el campo, porque todo hombre o todo animal que se encuentre en el campo, y no sea traído a la casa, morirá cuando caiga sobre ellos el granizo.’”

20 H e who is fearing the word of Jehovah among the servants of Pharaoh hath caused his servants and his cattle to flee unto the houses;

El que de entre los siervos de Faraón tuvo temor de la palabra del Señor, hizo poner a salvo a sus siervos y sus ganados en sus casas,

21 a nd he who hath not set his heart unto the word of Jehovah leaveth his servants and his cattle in the field.

pero el que no hizo caso a la palabra del Señor, dejó a sus siervos y sus ganados en el campo.

22 A nd Jehovah saith unto Moses, `Stretch forth thy hand towards the heavens, and there is hail in all the land of Egypt, on man, and on beast, and on every herb of the field in the land of Egypt.'

Y el Señor dijo a Moisés: Extiende tu mano hacia el cielo para que caiga granizo en toda la tierra de Egipto, sobre los hombres, sobre los animales y sobre toda planta del campo por toda la tierra de Egipto.

23 A nd Moses stretcheth out his rod towards the heavens, and Jehovah hath given voices and hail, and fire goeth towards the earth, and Jehovah raineth hail on the land of Egypt,

Y extendió Moisés su vara hacia el cielo, y el Señor envió truenos y granizo, y cayó fuego sobre la tierra. Y el Señor hizo llover granizo sobre la tierra de Egipto.

24 a nd there is hail, and fire catching itself in the midst of the hail, very grievous, such as hath not been in all the land of Egypt since it hath become a nation.

Y hubo granizo muy intenso, y fuego centelleando continuamente en medio del granizo, muy pesado, tal como no había habido en toda la tierra de Egipto desde que llegó a ser una nación.

25 A nd the hail smiteth in all the land of Egypt all that in the field, from man even unto beast, and every herb of the field hath the hail smitten, and every tree of the field it hath broken;

Y el granizo hirió todo lo que había en el campo por toda la tierra de Egipto, tanto hombres como animales; el granizo hirió también toda planta del campo, y destrozó todos los árboles del campo.

26 o nly in the land of Goshen, where the sons of Israel, there hath been no hail.

Sólo en la tierra de Gosén, donde estaban los hijos de Israel, no hubo granizo.

27 A nd Pharaoh sendeth, and calleth for Moses and for Aaron, and saith unto them, `I have sinned this time, Jehovah the Righteous, and I and my people the Wicked,

Entonces Faraón envió llamar a Moisés y Aarón y les dijo: Esta vez he pecado; el Señor es el justo, y yo y mi pueblo somos los impíos.

28 m ake ye supplication unto Jehovah, and plead that there be no voices of God and hail, and I send you away, and ye add not to remain.'

Rogad al Señor, porque ha habido ya suficientes truenos y granizo de parte de Dios; y os dejaré ir y no os quedaréis más aquí.

29 A nd Moses saith unto him, `At my going out of the city, I spread my palms unto Jehovah -- the voices cease, and the hail is not any more, so that thou knowest that the earth Jehovah's;

Y Moisés le dijo: Tan pronto como yo salga de la ciudad, extenderé mis manos al Señor; los truenos cesarán, y no habrá más granizo, para que sepas que la tierra es del Señor.

30 b ut thou and thy servants -- I have known that ye are not yet afraid of the face of Jehovah God.'

En cuanto a ti y a tus siervos, sé que aún no teméis al Señor Dios.

31 A nd the flax and the barley have been smitten, for the barley budding, and the flax forming flowers,

(Y el lino y la cebada fueron destruidos, pues la cebada estaba en espiga y el lino estaba en flor;

32 a nd the wheat and the rye have not been smitten, for they are late.

pero el trigo y el centeno no fueron destruidos, por ser tardíos.)

33 A nd Moses goeth out from Pharaoh, the city, and spreadeth his hands unto Jehovah, and the voices and the hail cease, and rain hath not been poured out to the earth;

Y salió Moisés de la ciudad, de la presencia de Faraón, y extendió sus manos al Señor, y los truenos y el granizo cesaron, y no cayó más lluvia sobre la tierra.

34 a nd Pharaoh seeth that the rain hath ceased, and the hail and the voices, and he continueth to sin, and hardeneth his heart, he and his servants;

Pero cuando Faraón vio que la lluvia, el granizo y los truenos habían cesado, pecó otra vez, y endureció su corazón, tanto él como sus siervos.

35 a nd the heart of Pharaoh is strong, and he hath not sent the sons of Israel away, as Jehovah hath spoken by the hand of Moses.

Y se endureció el corazón de Faraón y no dejó ir a los hijos de Israel, tal como el Señor había dicho por medio de Moisés.
