1 A nd I make known to you, brethren, the good news that I proclaimed to you, which also ye did receive, in which also ye have stood,

Además, os voy a exponer, hermanos, el evangelio que os he predicado, el cual también recibisteis, en el cual también estáis firmes;

2 t hrough which also ye are being saved, in what words I proclaimed good news to you, if ye hold fast, except ye did believe in vain,

por el cual asimismo, si retenéis la palabra que os he predicado, sois salvos, si no creísteis en vano.

3 f or I delivered to you first, what also I did receive, that Christ died for our sins, according to the Writings,

Porque en primer lugar os transmití lo que asimismo recibí: Que Cristo murió por nuestros pecados, conforme a las Escrituras;

4 a nd that he was buried, and that he hath risen on the third day, according to the Writings,

y que fue sepultado, y que resucitó al tercer día conforme a las Escrituras;

5 a nd that he appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve,

y que se apareció a Cefas, y después a los doce.

6 a fterwards he appeared to above five hundred brethren at once, of whom the greater part remain till now, and certain also did fall asleep;

Después se apareció a más de quinientos hermanos a la vez, de los cuales la mayoría viven aún, pero algunos ya se durmieron.

7 a fterwards he appeared to James, then to all the apostles.

Después se apareció a Jacobo; después a todos los apóstoles;

8 A nd last of all -- as to the untimely birth -- he appeared also to me,

y al último de todos, como a un abortivo, se me apareció a mí.

9 f or I am the least of the apostles, who am not worthy to be called an apostle, because I did persecute the assembly of God,

Porque yo soy el más pequeño de los apóstoles, que no soy digno de ser llamado apóstol, porque perseguí a la iglesia de Dios.

10 a nd by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace that towards me came not in vain, but more abundantly than they all did I labour, yet not I, but the grace of God that with me;

Pero por la gracia de Dios, soy lo que soy; y su gracia para conmigo no ha resultado estéril, sino que he trabajado más que todos ellos; pero no yo, sino la gracia de Dios conmigo.

11 w hether, then, I or they, so we preach, and so ye did believe.

Porque, o sea yo o sean ellos, así predicamos, y así habéis creído.

12 A nd if Christ is preached, that out of the dead he hath risen, how say certain among you, that there is no rising again of dead persons?

Pero si se predica de Cristo que resucitó de los muertos, ¿cómo dicen algunos entre vosotros que no hay resurrección de muertos?

13 a nd if there be no rising again of dead persons, neither hath Christ risen;

Porque si no hay resurrección de muertos, tampoco Cristo resucitó.

14 a nd if Christ hath not risen, then void our preaching, and void also your faith,

Y si Cristo no resucitó, vana es entonces nuestra predicación, vana es también vuestra fe.

15 a nd we also are found false witnesses of God, because we did testify of God that He raised up the Christ, whom He did not raise if then dead persons do not rise;

Y somos hallados falsos testigos de Dios; porque hemos testificado en contra de Dios que él resucitó a Cristo, al cual no resucitó, si en verdad los muertos no resucitan.

16 f or if dead persons do not rise, neither hath Christ risen,

Porque si los muertos no resucitan, tampoco Cristo resucitó;

17 a nd if Christ hath not risen, vain is your faith, ye are yet in your sins;

y si Cristo no resucitó, vuestra fe es vana; aún estáis en vuestros pecados.

18 t hen, also, those having fallen asleep in Christ did perish;

Entonces también los que durmieron en Cristo, han perecido.

19 i f in this life we have hope in Christ only, of all men we are most to be pitied.

Si solamente en esta vida tenemos puesta nuestra esperanza en Cristo, somos los más dignos de lástima de todos los hombres.

20 A nd now, Christ hath risen out of the dead -- the first-fruits of those sleeping he became,

Ahora bien, Cristo ha resucitado de los muertos; primicias de los que durmieron es hecho.

21 f or since through man the death, also through man a rising again of the dead,

Porque ya que la muerte entró por un hombre, también por un hombre la resurrección de los muertos.

22 f or even as in Adam all die, so also in the Christ all shall be made alive,

Porque así como en Adán todos mueren, también en Cristo todos serán vivificados.

23 a nd each in his proper order, a first-fruit Christ, afterwards those who are the Christ's, in his presence,

Pero cada uno en su debido orden: Cristo, las primicias; después, los que son de Cristo, en su venida.

24 t hen -- the end, when he may deliver up the reign to God, even the Father, when he may have made useless all rule, and all authority and power --

Después el fin, cuando entregue el reino al Dios y Padre, cuando haya suprimido todo principado, toda autoridad y potencia.

25 f or it behoveth him to reign till he may have put all the enemies under his feet --

Porque es preciso que él reine hasta que haya puesto a todos sus enemigos debajo de sus pies.

26 t he last enemy is done away -- death;

Y el último enemigo que será suprimido es la muerte.

27 f or all things He did put under his feet, and, when one may say that all things have been subjected, evident that He is excepted who did subject the all things to him,

Porque todas las cosas las sometió debajo de sus pies. Y cuando dice que todas las cosas han sido sometidas a él, claramente se exceptúa aquel que sometió a él todas las cosas.

28 a nd when the all things may be subjected to him, then the Son also himself shall be subject to Him, who did subject to him the all things, that God may be the all in all.

Y cuando todas las cosas le estén sometidas, entonces también el Hijo mismo se someterá al que le sometió a él todas las cosas, para que Dios sea todo en todos.

29 S eeing what shall they do who are baptized for the dead, if the dead do not rise at all? why also are they baptized for the dead?

De otro modo, ¿qué harán los que se bautizan por los muertos, si en ninguna manera los muertos resucitan? ¿Por qué, pues, se bautizan por los muertos?

30 w hy also do we stand in peril every hour?

¿Y por qué nosotros peligramos en todo momento?

31 E very day do I die, by the glorying of you that I have in Christ Jesus our Lord:

Os aseguro, hermanos, por la gloria que de vosotros tengo en nuestro Señor Jesucristo, que cada día muero.

32 i f after the manner of a man with wild beasts I fought in Ephesus, what the advantage to me if the dead do not rise? let us eat and drink, for to-morrow we die!

Si como hombre batallé en Éfeso contra fieras, ¿de qué me aprovecha? Si los muertos no resucitan, comamos y bebamos, porque mañana moriremos.

33 B e not led astray; evil communications corrupt good manners;

No os dejéis engañar; las malas compañías corrompen las buenas costumbres.

34 a wake up, as is right, and sin not; for certain have an ignorance of God; for shame to you I say.

Guardad la debida sobriedad, y no sigáis pecando; porque algunos desconocen a Dios; para vergüenza vuestra lo digo.

35 B ut some one will say, `How do the dead rise?

Pero dirá alguno: ¿Cómo resucitarán los muertos? ¿Con qué clase de cuerpo vendrán?

36 u nwise! thou -- what thou dost sow is not quickened except it may die;

Insensato, lo que tú siembras no se vivifica, si no muere antes.

37 a nd that which thou dost sow, not the body that shall be dost thou sow, but bare grain, it may be of wheat, or of some one of the others,

Y lo que siembras no es el cuerpo que ha de salir, sino el grano desnudo, ya sea de trigo o de otra cosa;

38 a nd God doth give to it a body according as He willed, and to each of the seeds its proper body.

pero Dios le da un cuerpo como él quiso, y a cada semilla su propio cuerpo.

39 A ll flesh not the same flesh, but there is one flesh of men, and another flesh of beasts, and another of fishes, and another of birds;

No toda carne es la misma carne, sino que una carne es la de los hombres, otra carne la de las bestias, otra la de los peces, y otra la de las aves.

40 a nd heavenly bodies, and earthly bodies; but one the glory of the heavenly, and another that of the earthly;

Y hay cuerpos celestiales, y cuerpos terrenales; pero uno es el resplandor de los celestiales, y otro diferente el de los terrenales.

41 o ne glory of sun, and another glory of moon, and another glory of stars, for star from star doth differ in glory.

Uno es el resplandor del sol, otro el resplandor de la luna, y otro el resplandor de las estrellas, pues una estrella se diferencia de otra en el resplandor.

42 S o also the rising again of the dead: it is sown in corruption, it is raised in incorruption;

Así también es la resurrección de los muertos. Se siembra en corrupción, resucitará en incorrupción.

43 i t is sown in dishonour, it is raised in glory; it is sown in weakness, it is raised in power;

Se siembra en deshonor, resucitará en gloria; se siembra en debilidad, resucitará en poder.

44 i t is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body; there is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body;

Se siembra cuerpo natural, resucitará cuerpo espiritual. Hay un cuerpo natural, y hay un cuerpo espiritual.

45 s o also it hath been written, `The first man Adam became a living creature,' the last Adam for a life-giving spirit,

Así también está escrito: Fue hecho el primer hombre Adán alma viviente; el postrer Adán, espíritu vivificante.

46 b ut that which is spiritual not first, but that which natural, afterwards that which spiritual.

Mas no es primero lo espiritual, sino lo natural; después, lo espiritual.

47 T he first man out of the earth, earthy; the second man the Lord out of heaven;

El primer hombre, sacado de la tierra, es terrenal; el segundo hombre, que es el Señor, es del cielo.

48 a s the earthy, such also the earthy; and as the heavenly, such also the heavenly;

Cual el terrenal, tales también los terrenales; y cual el celestial, tales también los celestiales.

49 a nd, according as we did bear the image of the earthy, we shall bear also the image of the heavenly.

Y así como hemos llevado la imagen del terrenal, llevaremos también la imagen del celestial.

50 A nd this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood the reign of God is not able to inherit, nor doth the corruption inherit the incorruption;

Pero esto digo, hermanos: que la carne y la sangre no pueden heredar el reino de Dios, ni la corrupción hereda la incorrupción.

51 l o, I tell you a secret; we indeed shall not all sleep, and we all shall be changed;

He aquí, os digo un misterio: No todos dormiremos; pero todos seremos transformados,

52 i n a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, in the last trumpet, for it shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we -- we shall be changed:

en un instante, en un abrir y cerrar de ojos, a la final trompeta; porque se tocará la trompeta, y los muertos serán resucitados incorruptibles, y nosotros seremos transformados.

53 f or it behoveth this corruptible to put on incorruption, and this mortal to put on immortality;

Porque es menester que esto corruptible sea vestido de incorrupción, y esto mortal sea vestido de inmortalidad.

54 a nd when this corruptible may have put on incorruption, and this mortal may have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the word that hath been written, `The Death was swallowed up -- to victory;

Y cuando esto corruptible se haya vestido de incorrupción, y esto mortal se haya vestido de inmortalidad, entonces se cumplirá la palabra que está escrita: Sorbida es la muerte con victoria.

55 w here, O Death, thy sting? where, O Hades, thy victory?'

¿Dónde está, oh muerte, tu victoria? ¿Dónde está, oh sepulcro, tu aguijón?

56 a nd the sting of the death the sin, and the power of the sin the law;

El aguijón de la muerte es el pecado, y el poder del pecado, la ley.

57 a nd to God -- thanks, to Him who is giving us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ;

Pero gracias sean dadas a Dios, que nos da la victoria por medio de nuestro Señor Jesucristo.

58 s o that, my brethren beloved, become ye stedfast, unmovable, abounding in the work of the Lord at all times, knowing that your labour is not vain in the Lord.

Así que, hermanos míos amados, sed firmes y constantes, abundando en la obra del Señor siempre, sabiendo que vuestro trabajo en el Señor no es en vano.
