1 A nd Solomon beginneth to build the house of Jehovah, in Jerusalem, in the mount of Moriah, where He appeared to David his father, in the place that David had prepared, in the threshing-floor of Ornan the Jebusite,

Comenzó Salomón a edificar la casa de Jehová en Jerusalén, en el monte Moria, que había sido mostrado a David su padre, en el lugar que David había preparado en la era de Ornán jebuseo.

2 a nd he beginneth to build in the second, in the second month, in the fourth year of his reign.

Y comenzó a edificar en el mes segundo, a los dos días del mes, en el cuarto año de su reinado.

3 A nd these hath Solomon been instructed to build the house of God: The length cubits by the former measure sixty cubits, and the breadth twenty cubits.

Estas son las medidas que dio Salomón a los cimientos de la casa de Dios: La primera, la longitud, de sesenta codos, y la anchura de veinte codos.

4 A s to the porch that on the front, the length by the front of the breadth of the house, twenty cubits, and the height a hundred and twenty, and he overlayeth it within with pure gold.

El pórtico que estaba al frente del edificio era de veinte codos de largo, igual al ancho de la casa, y su altura de ciento veinte codos; y lo cubrió por dentro de oro puro.

5 A nd the large house he hath covered with fir-trees, and he doth cover it with good gold, and causeth to ascend on it palms and chains,

Y techó el cuerpo mayor del edificio con madera de ciprés, la cual cubrió de oro fino, e hizo realzar en ella palmeras y cadenas.

6 a nd he overlayeth the house with precious stone for beauty, and the gold gold of Parvaim,

Cubrió también la casa de piedras preciosas para ornamento; y el oro era oro de Parváyim.

7 a nd he covereth the house, the beams, the thresholds, and its walls, and its doors, with gold, and hath graved cherubs on the walls.

Así que cubrió la casa, sus vigas, sus umbrales, sus paredes y sus puertas, con oro; y esculpió querubines en las paredes.

8 A nd he maketh the most holy house: its length by the front of the breadth of the house twenty cubits, and its breadth twenty cubits, and he covereth it with good gold, to six hundred talents;

Construyó asimismo el lugar santísimo, cuya longitud era de veinte codos según el ancho del frente de la casa, y su anchura de veinte codos; y lo cubrió de oro fino que ascendía a seiscientos talentos.

9 a nd the weight of the nails fifty shekels of gold, and the upper chambers he hath covered with gold.

Y el peso de los clavos era de cada uno hasta cincuenta siclos de oro. Cubrió también de oro los aposentos.

10 A nd he maketh in the most holy house two cherubs, image work, and he overlayeth them with gold;

Y dentro del lugar santísimo hizo dos querubines de madera, los cuales fueron cubiertos de oro.

11 a s to the wings of the cherubs, their length twenty cubits, the wing of the one five cubits, touching the wall of the house, and the other wing five cubits, touching the wing of the other cherub.

La longitud de las alas de los querubines era de veinte codos; porque un ala era de cinco codos, la cual llegaba hasta la pared de la casa, y la otra de cinco codos, la cual tocaba el ala del otro querubín.

12 A nd the wing of the other cherub five cubits touching the wall of the house, and the other wing five cubits, adhering to the wing of the other cherub.

De la misma manera un ala del otro querubín era de cinco codos, la cual llegaba hasta la pared de la casa, y la otra era de cinco codos, que tocaba el ala del otro querubín.

13 T he wings of these cherubs are spreading forth twenty cubits, and they are standing on their feet and their faces inward.

Estos querubines tenían las alas extendidas por veinte codos, y estaban en pie con los rostros hacia la casa.

14 A nd he maketh the vail of blue, and purple, and crimson, and fine linen, and causeth cherubs to go up on it.

Hizo también el velo de azul, púrpura, carmesí y lino, e hizo realzar querubines en él. Las dos columnas

15 A nd he maketh at the front of the house two pillars, thirty and five cubits in length, and the ornament that on their heads five cubits.

Delante de la casa hizo dos columnas de treinta y cinco codos de altura cada una, con sus capiteles encima, de cinco codos.

16 A nd he maketh chains in the oracle, and putteth on the heads of the pillars, and maketh a hundred pomegranates, and putteth on the chains.

Hizo asimismo cadenas en el santuario, y las puso sobre los capiteles de las columnas; e hizo cien granadas, las cuales puso en las cadenas.

17 A nd he raiseth up the pillars on the front of the temple, one on the right, and one on the left, and calleth the name of that on the right Jachin, and the name of that on the left Boaz.

Y colocó las columnas delante del templo, una a la mano derecha, y otra a la izquierda; y a la de la mano derecha llamó Jaquín, y a la de la izquierda, Boaz.
