1 T here is, then, now no condemnation to those in Christ Jesus, who walk not according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit;

Ahora, pues, ninguna condenación hay para los que están en Cristo Jesús, los que no están andando conforme a la carne, sino conforme al Espíritu.

2 f or the law of the Spirit of the life in Christ Jesus did set me free from the law of the sin and of the death;

Porque la ley del Espíritu de vida en Cristo Jesús me ha librado de la ley del pecado y de la muerte.

3 f or what the law was not able to do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God, His own Son having sent in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, did condemn the sin in the flesh,

Porque lo que era imposible para la ley, por cuanto era débil a causa de la carne, Dios, enviando a su propio Hijo en semejanza de carne de pecado y en lo concerniente al pecado, condenó al pecado en la carne;

4 t hat the righteousness of the law may be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.

para que la justicia de la ley se cumpliese en nosotros, los que no andamos conforme a la carne, sino conforme al Espíritu.

5 F or those who are according to the flesh, the things of the flesh do mind; and those according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit;

Porque los que son conforme a la carne, ponen su mente en las cosas de la carne; pero los que son conforme al Espíritu, en las cosas del Espíritu.

6 f or the mind of the flesh death, and the mind of the Spirit -- life and peace;

Porque la mentalidad de la carne es muerte, pero la mentalidad del Espíritu es vida y paz.

7 b ecause the mind of the flesh enmity to God, for to the law of God it doth not subject itself,

Por cuanto la mentalidad de la carne es enemistad contra Dios; porque no se somete a la ley de Dios, ya que ni siquiera puede;

8 f or neither is it able; and those who are in the flesh are not able to please God.

y los que viven según la carne no pueden agradar a Dios.

9 A nd ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God doth dwell in you; and if any one hath not the Spirit of Christ -- this one is not His;

Mas vosotros no vivís según la carne, sino según el Espíritu, si es que el Espíritu de Dios mora en vosotros. Y si alguno no tiene el Espíritu de Cristo, el tal no es de él.

10 a nd if Christ in you, the body, indeed, dead because of sin, and the Spirit life because of righteousness,

Pero si Cristo está en vosotros, el cuerpo en verdad está muerto a causa del pecado, mas el espíritu vive a causa de la justicia.

11 a nd if the Spirit of Him who did raise up Jesus out of the dead doth dwell in you, He who did raise up the Christ out of the dead shall quicken also your dying bodies, through His Spirit dwelling in you.

Y si el Espíritu de aquel que levantó de los muertos a Jesús habita en vosotros, el que levantó de los muertos a Cristo Jesús vivificará también vuestros cuerpos mortales por medio de su Espíritu que habita en vosotros.

12 S o, then, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh;

Así que, hermanos, somos deudores, no a la carne, para que vivamos conforme a la carne;

13 f or if according to the flesh ye do live, ye are about to die; and if, by the Spirit, the deeds of the body ye put to death, ye shall live;

porque si vivís conforme a la carne, vais a morir; mas si por el Espíritu hacéis morir las obras de la carne, viviréis.

14 f or as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are the sons of God;

Porque todos los que son guiados por el Espíritu de Dios, éstos son hijos de Dios.

15 f or ye did not receive a spirit of bondage again for fear, but ye did receive a spirit of adoption in which we cry, `Abba -- Father.'

Pues no habéis recibido espíritu de servidumbre para recaer en el temor, sino que habéis recibido espíritu de adopción como hijos, por el cual clamamos: ¡Abbá, Padre!

16 T he Spirit himself doth testify with our spirit, that we are children of God;

El Espíritu mismo da juntamente testimonio a nuestro espíritu, de que somos hijos de Dios.

17 a nd if children, also heirs, heirs, indeed, of God, and heirs together of Christ -- if, indeed, we suffer together, that we may also be glorified together.

Y si hijos, también herederos; herederos de Dios y coherederos con Cristo, si es que padecemos juntamente con él, para que juntamente con él seamos glorificados.

18 F or I reckon that the sufferings of the present time not worthy with the glory about to be revealed in us;

Pues considero que las aflicciones del tiempo presente no son comparables con la gloria venidera que ha de manifestarse en nosotros.

19 f or the earnest looking out of the creation doth expect the revelation of the sons of God;

Porque el anhelo ardiente de la creación es el aguardar la revelación de los hijos de Dios.

20 f or to vanity was the creation made subject -- not of its will, but because of Him who did subject -- in hope,

Porque la creación fue sometida a vanidad, no por su propia voluntad, sino por causa del que la sometió, en esperanza

21 t hat also the creation itself shall be set free from the servitude of the corruption to the liberty of the glory of the children of God;

de que también la creación misma será liberada de la servidumbre de la corrupción, a la gloriosa libertad de los hijos de Dios.

22 f or we have known that all the creation doth groan together, and doth travail in pain together till now.

Porque sabemos que toda la creación gime a una, y a una está con dolores de parto hasta ahora;

23 A nd not only, but also we ourselves, having the first-fruit of the Spirit, we also ourselves in ourselves do groan, adoption expecting -- the redemption of our body;

y no sólo esto, sino que también nosotros mismos, que tenemos las primicias del Espíritu, nosotros también gemimos dentro de nosotros mismos, esperando la adopción, la redención de nuestro cuerpo.

24 f or in hope we were saved, and hope beheld is not hope; for what any one doth behold, why also doth he hope for ?

Porque en esperanza fuimos salvos; pero la esperanza que se ve, no es esperanza; porque lo que alguien ve, ¿a qué esperarlo?

25 a nd if what we do not behold we hope for, through continuance we expect.

Pero si esperamos lo que no vemos, mediante la paciencia lo aguardamos.

26 A nd, in like manner also, the Spirit doth help our weaknesses; for, what we may pray for, as it behoveth, we have not known, but the Spirit himself doth make intercession for us with groanings unutterable,

Y de igual manera, también el Espíritu nos ayuda en nuestra debilidad; pues qué hemos de pedir como conviene, no lo sabemos, pero el Espíritu mismo intercede por nosotros con gemidos indecibles.

27 a nd He who is searching the hearts hath known what the mind of the Spirit, because according to God he doth intercede for saints.

Y el que escudriña los corazones sabe cuál es la mentalidad del Espíritu, porque conforme a la voluntad de Dios intercede por los santos. Más que vencedores

28 A nd we have known that to those loving God all things do work together for good, to those who are called according to purpose;

Y sabemos que todas las cosas cooperan para bien de los que aman a Dios, de los que son llamados conforme a su propósito.

29 b ecause whom He did foreknow, He also did fore-appoint, conformed to the image of His Son, that he might be first-born among many brethren;

Porque a los que de antemano conoció, también los predestinó a ser modelados conforme a la imagen de su Hijo, para que él sea el primogénito entre muchos hermanos.

30 a nd whom He did fore-appoint, these also He did call; and whom He did call, these also He declared righteous; and whom He declared righteous, these also He did glorify.

Y a los que predestinó, a éstos también llamó; y a los que llamó, a éstos también justificó; y a los que justificó, a éstos también glorificó.

31 W hat, then, shall we say unto these things? if God for us, who against us?

¿Qué, pues, diremos a esto? Si Dios está por nosotros, ¿quién contra nosotros?

32 H e who indeed His own Son did not spare, but for us all did deliver him up, how shall He not also with him the all things grant to us?

El que no eximió ni a su propio Hijo, sino que lo entregó por todos nosotros, ¿cómo no nos dará también con él todas las cosas?

33 W ho shall lay a charge against the choice ones of God? God He that is declaring righteous,

¿Quién acusará a los escogidos de Dios? Dios es el que justifica.

34 w ho he that is condemning? Christ He that died, yea, rather also, was raised up; who is also on the right hand of God -- who also doth intercede for us.

¿Quién es el que condena? Cristo es el que murió; más aún, el que también resucitó, el que además está a la diestra de Dios, el que también intercede por nosotros.

35 W ho shall separate us from the love of the Christ? tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

¿Quién nos separará del amor de Cristo? ¿Tribulación, o angustia, o persecución, o hambre, o desnudez, o peligro, o espada?

36 ( according as it hath been written -- `For Thy sake we are put to death all the day long, we were reckoned as sheep of slaughter,')

Como está escrito: Por tu causa somos muertos todo el día; Somos considerados como ovejas de matadero.

37 b ut in all these we more than conquer, through him who loved us;

Pero en todas estas cosas somos más que vencedores por medio de aquel que nos amó.

38 f or I am persuaded that neither death, nor life, nor messengers, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present,

Porque estoy persuadido de que ni la muerte, ni la vida, ni ángeles, ni principados, ni potestades, ni lo presente, ni lo por venir,

39 n or things about to be, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, that in Christ Jesus our Lord.

ni lo alto, ni lo profundo, ni ninguna otra cosa creada nos podrá separar del amor de Dios, que es en Cristo Jesús nuestro Señor.
