1 ` And it hath been, when all these things come upon thee, the blessing and the reviling, which I have set before thee, and thou hast brought back unto thy heart, among all the nations whither Jehovah thy God hath driven thee away,

Sucederá que cuando hayan venido sobre ti todas estas cosas, la bendición y la maldición que he puesto delante de ti, y te arrepientas en medio de todas las naciones adonde te haya arrojado Jehová tu Dios,

2 a nd hast turned back unto Jehovah thy God, and hearkened to His voice, according to all that I am commanding thee to-day, thou and thy sons, with all thy heart, and with all thy soul --

y te conviertas a Jehová tu Dios, y obedezcas a su voz conforme a todo lo que yo te mando hoy, tú y tus hijos, con todo tu corazón y con toda tu alma,

3 t hen hath Jehovah thy God turned back thy captivity, and pitied thee, yea, He hath turned back and gathered thee out of all the peoples whither Jehovah thy God hath scattered thee.

entonces Jehová hará volver a tus cautivos, y tendrá misericordia de ti, y volverá a recogerte de entre todos los pueblos adonde te haya esparcido Jehová tu Dios.

4 ` If thine outcast is in the extremity of the heavens, thence doth Jehovah thy God gather thee, and thence He doth take thee;

Aun cuando tus desterrados estén en las partes más lejanas que hay debajo del cielo, de allí te recogerá Jehová tu Dios, y de allá te tomará;

5 a nd Jehovah thy God hath brought thee in unto the land which thy fathers have possessed, and thou hast inherited it, and He hath done thee good, and multiplied thee above thy fathers.

y te hará volver Jehová tu Dios a la tierra que heredaron tus padres, y será tuya; y te hará bien, y te multiplicará más que a tus padres.

6 ` And Jehovah thy God hath circumcised thy heart, and the heart of thy seed, to love Jehovah thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, for the sake of thy life;

Y circuncidará Jehová tu Dios tu corazón, y el corazón de tu descendencia, para que ames a Jehová tu Dios con todo tu corazón y con toda tu alma, a fin de que vivas.

7 a nd Jehovah thy God hath put all this oath on thine enemies, and on those hating thee, who have pursued thee.

Y pondrá Jehová tu Dios todas estas maldiciones sobre tus enemigos, y sobre tus aborrecedores que te persiguieron.

8 ` And thou dost turn back, and hast hearkened to the voice of Jehovah, and hast done all His commands which I am commanding thee to-day;

Y tú volverás, y oirás la voz de Jehová, y pondrás por obra todos sus mandamientos que yo te ordeno hoy.

9 a nd Jehovah thy God hath made thee abundant in every work of thy hand, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy ground, for good; for Jehovah turneth back to rejoice over thee for good, as He rejoiced over thy fathers,

Y te hará Jehová tu Dios abundar en toda obra de tus manos, en el fruto de tus entrañas, en el fruto de tu bestia, y en el fruto de tu tierra, para bien; porque Jehová volverá a gozarse sobre ti para bien, de la manera que se gozó sobre tus padres,

10 f or thou dost hearken to the voice of Jehovah thy God, to keep His commands, and His statutes, which are written in the book of this law, for thou turnest back unto Jehovah thy God, with all thy heart, and with all thy soul.

si obedeces a la voz de Jehová tu Dios, para guardar sus mandamientos y sus estatutos escritos en este libro de la ley; si te conviertes a Jehová tu Dios con todo tu corazón y con toda tu alma.

11 ` For this command which I am commanding thee to-day, it is not too wonderful for thee, nor it far off.

Porque este mandamiento que yo te ordeno hoy no es demasiado difícil para ti, ni está lejos.

12 I t is not in the heavens, -- saying, Who doth go up for us into the heavens, and doth take it for us, and doth cause us to hear it -- that we may do it.

No está en el cielo, para que digas: ¿Quién subirá por nosotros al cielo, y nos lo traerá y nos lo hará oír para que lo cumplamos?

13 A nd it not beyond the sea, -- saying, Who doth pass over for us beyond the sea, and doth take it for us, and doth cause us to hear it -- that we may do it?

Ni está al otro lado del mar, para que digas: ¿Quién pasará por nosotros el mar, para que nos lo traiga y nos lo haga oír, a fin de que lo cumplamos?

14 F or very near unto thee is the word, in thy mouth, and in thy heart -- to do it.

Porque muy cerca de ti está la palabra, en tu boca y en tu corazón, para que la cumplas.

15 ` See, I have set before thee to-day life and good, and death and evil,

Mira, yo he puesto delante de ti hoy la vida y el bien, la muerte y el mal;

16 i n that I am commanding thee to-day to love Jehovah thy God, to walk in His ways, and to keep His commands, and His statutes, and His judgments; and thou hast lived and multiplied, and Jehovah thy God hath blessed thee in the land whither thou art going in to possess it.

porque yo te mando hoy que ames a Jehová tu Dios, que andes en sus caminos, y guardes sus mandamientos, sus estatutos y sus decretos, para que vivas y seas multiplicado, y Jehová tu Dios te bendiga en la tierra a la cual entras para tomar posesión de ella.

17 ` And if thy heart doth turn, and thou dost not hearken, and hast been driven away, and hast bowed thyself to other gods, and served them,

Mas si tu corazón se aparta y no oyes, y te dejas extraviar, y te inclinas a dioses ajenos y les sirves,

18 I have declared to you this day, that ye do certainly perish, ye do not prolong days on the ground which thou art passing over the Jordan to go in thither to possess it.

yo os protesto hoy que de cierto pereceréis; no prolongaréis vuestros días sobre la tierra adonde vais, pasando el Jordán, para entrar en posesión de ella.

19 ` I have caused to testify against you to-day the heavens and the earth; life and death I have set before thee, the blessing and the reviling; and thou hast fixed on life, so that thou dost live, thou and thy seed,

A los cielos y a la tierra llamo por testigos hoy contra vosotros, que os he puesto delante la vida y la muerte, la bendición y la maldición; escoge, pues, la vida, para que vivas tú y tu descendencia;

20 t o love Jehovah thy God, to hearken to His voice, and to cleave to Him (for He thy life, and the length of thy days), to dwell on the ground which Jehovah hath sworn to thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give to them.'

amando a Jehová tu Dios, atendiendo a su voz, y siguiéndole a él; porque él es vida para ti, y prolongación de tus días; a fin de que habites sobre la tierra que juró Jehová a tus padres, Abraham, Isaac y Jacob, que les había de dar.
