1 A nd Joseph hath not been able to refrain himself before all those standing by him, and he calleth, `Put out every man from me;' and no man hath stood with him when Joseph maketh himself known unto his brethren,

No podía ya José contenerse delante de todos los que estaban al lado suyo, y clamó: Haced salir de mi presencia a todos. Y no quedó nadie con él, al darse a conocer José a sus hermanos.

2 a nd he giveth forth his voice in weeping, and the Egyptians hear, and the house of Pharaoh heareth.

Entonces se dio a llorar a gritos; y hasta oyeron los egipcios, y lo oyó la casa de Faraón.

3 A nd Joseph saith unto his brethren, `I Joseph, is my father yet alive?' and his brethren have not been able to answer him, for they have been troubled at his presence.

Y dijo José a sus hermanos: Yo soy José; ¿vive aún mi padre? Y sus hermanos no pudieron responderle, porque estaban aterrados delante de él.

4 A nd Joseph saith unto his brethren, `Come nigh unto me, I pray you,' and they come nigh; and he saith, `I Joseph, your brother, whom ye sold into Egypt;

Entonces dijo José a sus hermanos: Acercaos ahora a mí. Y ellos se acercaron. Y él dijo: Yo soy José vuestro hermano, el que vendisteis para Egipto.

5 a nd now, be not grieved, nor let it be displeasing in your eyes that ye sold me hither, for to preserve life hath God sent me before you.

Ahora, pues, no os entristezcáis, ni os pese de haberme vendido acá; porque para preservación de vida me envió Dios delante de vosotros.

6 ` Because these two years the famine in the heart of the land, and yet five years, which there is neither ploughing nor harvest;

Pues ya ha habido dos años de hambre en medio de la tierra, y aún quedan cinco años en los cuales ni habrá arada ni siega.

7 a nd God sendeth me before you, to place of you a remnant in the land, and to give life to you by a great escape;

Y Dios me envió delante de vosotros, para preservaros posteridad sobre la tierra, y para daros vida por medio de gran liberación.

8 a nd now, ye -- ye have not sent me hither, but God, and He doth set me for a father to Pharaoh, and for lord to all his house, and ruler over all the land of Egypt.

Así pues, no me enviasteis acá vosotros, sino Dios, que me ha puesto por padre de Faraón y por señor de toda su casa, y por gobernador en toda la tierra de Egipto.

9 ` Haste, and go up unto my father, then ye have said to him, Thus said Joseph thy son, God hath set me for lord to all Egypt; come down unto me, stay not,

Daos prisa, id a mi padre y decidle: Así dice tu hijo José: Dios me ha puesto por señor de todo Egipto; ven a mí, no te detengas.

10 a nd thou hast dwelt in the land of Goshen, and been near unto me, thou and thy sons, and thy son's sons, and thy flock, and thy herd, and all that thou hast,

Habitarás en la tierra de Gosén, y estarás cerca de mí, tú y tus hijos, y los hijos de tus hijos, tus ganados y tus vacas, y todo lo que tienes.

11 a nd I have nourished thee there -- for yet five years of famine -- lest thou become poor, thou and thy household, and all that thou hast.

Y allí te alimentaré, pues aún quedan cinco años de hambre, para que no perezcas de pobreza tú y tu casa, y todo lo que tienes.

12 ` And lo, your eyes are seeing, and the eyes of my brother Benjamin, that my mouth which is speaking unto you;

He aquí, vuestros ojos ven, y los ojos de mi hermano Benjamín, que mi boca os habla.

13 a nd ye have declared to my father all my honour in Egypt, and all that ye have seen, and ye have hasted, and have brought down my father hither.'

Haréis, pues, saber a mi padre toda mi gloria en Egipto, y todo lo que habéis visto; y daos prisa, y traed a mi padre acá.

14 A nd he falleth on the neck of Benjamin his brother, and weepeth, and Benjamin hath wept on his neck;

Y se echó sobre el cuello de Benjamín su hermano, y lloró; y también Benjamín lloró sobre su cuello.

15 a nd he kisseth all his brethren, and weepeth over them; and afterwards have his brethren spoken with him.

Y besó a todos sus hermanos, y lloró sobre ellos; y después sus hermanos hablaron con él. Invitación de Faraón

16 A nd the sound hath been heard in the house of Pharaoh, saying, `Come have the brethren of Joseph;' and it is good in the eyes of Pharaoh, and in the eyes of his servants,

Y se oyó la noticia en la casa de Faraón, diciendo: Los hermanos de José han venido. Y esto agradó en los ojos de Faraón y de sus siervos.

17 a nd Pharaoh saith unto Joseph, `Say unto thy brethren, This do ye: lade your beasts, and go, enter ye the land of Canaan,

Y dijo Faraón a José: Di a tus hermanos: Haced esto: cargad vuestras bestias, e id, volved a la tierra de Canaán;

18 a nd take your father, and your households, and come unto me, and I give to you the good of the land of Egypt, and eat ye the fat of the land.

y tomad a vuestro padre y a vuestras familias y venid a mí, porque yo os daré lo bueno de la tierra de Egipto, y comeréis de la abundancia de la tierra.

19 ` Yea, thou -- thou hast been commanded: this do ye, take for yourselves out of the land of Egypt, waggons for your infants, and for your wives, and ye have brought your father, and come;

Y tú manda: Haced esto: tomaos de la tierra de Egipto carros para vuestros niños y vuestras mujeres, y traed a vuestro padre, y venid.

20 a nd your eye hath no pity on your vessels, for the good of all the land of Egypt yours.'

Y no os preocupéis por vuestros enseres, porque la riqueza de la tierra de Egipto será vuestra.

21 A nd the sons of Israel do so, and Joseph giveth waggons to them by the command of Pharaoh, and he giveth to them provision for the way;

Y lo hicieron así los hijos de Israel; y les dio José carros conforme a la orden de Faraón, y les suministró víveres para el camino.

22 t o all of them hath he given -- to each changes of garments, and to Benjamin he hath given three hundred silverlings, and five changes of garments;

A cada uno de todos ellos dio mudas de vestidos, y a Benjamín dio trescientas piezas de plata, y cinco mudas de vestidos.

23 a nd to his father he hath sent thus: ten asses bearing of the good things of Egypt, and ten she-asses bearing corn and bread, even food for his father for the way.

Y a su padre envió esto: diez asnos cargados de lo mejor de Egipto, y diez asnas cargadas de trigo, y pan y comida, para su padre en el camino.

24 A nd he sendeth his brethren away, and they go; and he saith unto them, `Be not angry in the way.'

Y despidió a sus hermanos, y ellos se fueron. Y él les dijo: No riñáis por el camino.

25 A nd they go up out of Egypt, and come in to the land of Canaan, unto Jacob their father,

Y subieron de Egipto, y llegaron a la tierra de Canaán a Jacob su padre.

26 a nd they declare to him, saying, `Joseph yet alive,' and that he ruler over all the land of Egypt; and his heart ceaseth, for he hath not given credence to them.

Y le dieron las nuevas, diciendo: José vive aún; y él es señor en toda la tierra de Egipto. Y el corazón de Jacob se afligió, porque no los creía.

27 A nd they speak unto him all the words of Joseph, which he hath spoken unto them, and he seeth the waggons which Joseph hath sent to bear him away, and live doth the spirit of Jacob their father;

Y ellos le contaron todas las palabras de José, que él les había hablado; y viendo Jacob los carros que José enviaba para llevarlo, su espíritu revivió.

28 a nd Israel saith, `Enough! Joseph my son yet alive; I go and see him before I die.'

Entonces dijo Israel: Basta; José mi hijo vive todavía; iré, y le veré antes que yo muera.
