1 A nd Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,

¶ Y habló el SEÑOR a Moisés, diciendo:

2 ` Speak unto the sons of Israel, and take from them each a rod, for a father's house, from all their princes, for the house of their fathers, twelve rods; the name of each thou dost write on his rod,

Habla a los hijos de Israel, y toma de ellos una vara por cada casa de los padres, de todos los príncipes de ellos, doce varas conforme a las casas de sus padres; y escribirás el nombre de cada uno sobre su vara.

3 a nd Aaron's name thou dost write on the tribe of Levi; for one rod for the head of their fathers' house:

Y escribirás el nombre de Aarón sobre la vara de Leví; porque cada cabeza de familia de sus padres tendrá una vara.

4 a nd thou hast placed them in the tent of meeting, before the testimony, where I meet with you.

Y las pondrás en el tabernáculo del testimonio delante del testimonio, donde yo testifico de mí mismo a vosotros.

5 ` And it hath come to pass, the man's rod on whom I fix doth flourish, and I have caused to cease from off me the murmurings of the sons of Israel, which they are murmuring against you.'

Y será, que el varón que yo escogiere, su vara florecerá; y resolveré las quejas de los hijos de Israel, con que murmuran contra vosotros.

6 A nd Moses speaketh unto the sons of Israel, and all their princes give unto him one rod for a prince, one rod for a prince, for their fathers' house, twelve rods, and the rod of Aaron in the midst of their rods;

Y Moisés habló a los hijos de Israel, y todos los príncipes de ellos le dieron varas; cada príncipe por las casas de sus padres una vara, por todas doce varas; y la vara de Aarón estaba entre las varas de ellos.

7 a nd Moses placeth the rods before Jehovah, in the tent of the testimony.

Y Moisés puso las varas delante del SEÑOR en el tabernáculo del testimonio.

8 A nd it cometh to pass, on the morrow, that Moses goeth in unto the tent of the testimony, and lo, the rod of Aaron hath flourished for the house of Levi, and is bringing out flourishing, and doth blossom blossoms, and doth produce almonds;

¶ Y aconteció que al día siguiente vino Moisés al tabernáculo del testimonio; y he aquí que la vara de Aarón de la casa de Leví había brotado, y florecido con flores abiertas, y producido almendras.

9 a nd Moses bringeth out all the rods from before Jehovah, unto all the sons of Israel, and they look, and take each his rod.

Entonces Moisés sacó todas las varas de delante del SEÑOR a todos los hijos de Israel; y ellos lo vieron, y tomaron cada uno su vara.

10 A nd Jehovah saith unto Moses, `Put back the rod of Aaron, before the testimony, for a charge, for a sign to the sons of rebellion, and thou dost remove their murmurings from off me, and they do not die;'

Y el SEÑOR dijo a Moisés: Vuelve la vara de Aarón delante del testimonio, para que se guarde por señal a los hijos rebeldes; y harás cesar sus quejas de sobre mí, para que no mueran.

11 a nd Moses doth as Jehovah hath commanded him; so he hath done.

E hizo Moisés como le mandó el SEÑOR, así hizo.

12 A nd the sons of Israel speak unto Moses, saying, `Lo, we have expired; we have perished; we have all of us perished;

Entonces los hijos de Israel hablaron a Moisés, diciendo: He aquí nosotros somos muertos, perdidos somos, todos nosotros somos perdidos.

13 a ny who is at all drawing near unto the tabernacle of Jehovah dieth; have we not been consumed -- to expire?'

Cualquiera que se acercare, el que viniere al tabernáculo del SEÑOR morirá: ¿acabaremos por perecer todos?
