1 A nd Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,

Entonces el Señor dijo a Moisés:

2 ` Speak unto the sons of Israel, and take from them each a rod, for a father's house, from all their princes, for the house of their fathers, twelve rods; the name of each thou dost write on his rod,

“Habla a los Israelitas y toma de ellos una vara por cada una de las casas paternas: doce varas de todos los jefes conforme a sus casas paternas. Y escribirás el nombre de cada uno en su vara,

3 a nd Aaron's name thou dost write on the tribe of Levi; for one rod for the head of their fathers' house:

y escribirás el nombre de Aarón en la vara de Leví; porque hay una vara para cada jefe de sus casas paternas.

4 a nd thou hast placed them in the tent of meeting, before the testimony, where I meet with you.

Las pondrás en la tienda de reunión delante del testimonio donde Me encuentro contigo.

5 ` And it hath come to pass, the man's rod on whom I fix doth flourish, and I have caused to cease from off me the murmurings of the sons of Israel, which they are murmuring against you.'

Y acontecerá que la vara del hombre que Yo escoja, retoñará. Así disminuiré de sobre Mí las quejas de los Israelitas que murmuran contra ustedes.”

6 A nd Moses speaketh unto the sons of Israel, and all their princes give unto him one rod for a prince, one rod for a prince, for their fathers' house, twelve rods, and the rod of Aaron in the midst of their rods;

Moisés habló a los Israelitas, y todos los jefes de ellos le dieron varas, una por cada jefe según sus casas paternas; doce varas, con la vara de Aarón entre sus varas.

7 a nd Moses placeth the rods before Jehovah, in the tent of the testimony.

Y Moisés colocó las varas en la tienda del testimonio delante del Señor.

8 A nd it cometh to pass, on the morrow, that Moses goeth in unto the tent of the testimony, and lo, the rod of Aaron hath flourished for the house of Levi, and is bringing out flourishing, and doth blossom blossoms, and doth produce almonds;

Al siguiente día, Moisés entró en la tienda del testimonio, y vio que la vara de Aarón de la casa de Leví había retoñado y echado botones, y había producido flores, y almendras maduras.

9 a nd Moses bringeth out all the rods from before Jehovah, unto all the sons of Israel, and they look, and take each his rod.

Moisés entonces sacó todas las varas de la presencia del Señor y las llevó a los Israelitas; y ellos las miraron y cada uno tomó su vara.

10 A nd Jehovah saith unto Moses, `Put back the rod of Aaron, before the testimony, for a charge, for a sign to the sons of rebellion, and thou dost remove their murmurings from off me, and they do not die;'

Pero el Señor dijo a Moisés: “Vuelve a poner la vara de Aarón delante del testimonio para guardarla por señal a los rebeldes, para que hagas cesar sus murmuraciones contra Mí, y no mueran.”

11 a nd Moses doth as Jehovah hath commanded him; so he hath done.

Así lo hizo Moisés; como el Señor le había ordenado, así lo hizo.

12 A nd the sons of Israel speak unto Moses, saying, `Lo, we have expired; we have perished; we have all of us perished;

Entonces los Israelitas dijeron a Moisés: “Vamos a morir; estamos perdidos; todos nosotros estamos perdidos.

13 a ny who is at all drawing near unto the tabernacle of Jehovah dieth; have we not been consumed -- to expire?'

Cualquiera que se acerca al tabernáculo del Señor, muere. ¿Hemos de perecer todos?”
