1 T he Spirit of the Lord Jehovah on me, Because Jehovah did anoint me To proclaim tidings to the humble, He sent me to bind the broken of heart, To proclaim to captives liberty, And to bound ones an opening of bands.

El Espíritu del Señor Dios está sobre mí, Porque me ha ungido el Señor Para traer buenas nuevas a los afligidos. Me ha enviado para vendar a los quebrantados de corazón, Para proclamar libertad a los cautivos Y liberación a los prisioneros;

2 T o proclaim the year of the good pleasure of Jehovah, And the day of vengeance of our God, To comfort all mourners.

Para proclamar el año favorable del Señor, Y el día de venganza de nuestro Dios; Para consolar a todos los que lloran,

3 T o appoint to mourners in Zion, To give to them beauty instead of ashes, The oil of joy instead of mourning, A covering of praise for a spirit of weakness, And He is calling to them, `Trees of righteousness, The planting of Jehovah -- to be beautified.'

Para conceder que a los que lloran en Sion Se les dé diadema en vez de ceniza, Aceite de alegría en vez de luto, Manto de alabanza en vez de espíritu abatido; Para que sean llamados robles de justicia, Plantío del Señor, para que El sea glorificado.

4 A nd they have built the wastes of old, The desolations of the ancients they raise up, And they have renewed waste cities, The desolations of generation and generation.

Entonces reedificarán las ruinas antiguas, Levantarán los lugares devastados de antaño, Y restaurarán las ciudades arruinadas, Los lugares devastados de muchas generaciones.

5 A nd strangers have stood and fed your flock, Sons of a foreigner your husbandmen, And your vine-dressers.

Se presentarán extraños y apacentarán los rebaños de ustedes, E hijos de extranjeros serán sus labradores y sus viñadores.

6 A nd ye are called `Priests of Jehovah,' `Ministers of our God,' is said of you, The strength of nations ye consume, And in their honour ye do boast yourselves.

Y ustedes serán llamados sacerdotes del Señor; Ministros de nuestro Dios se les llamará. Comerán las riquezas de las naciones, Y en su gloria se jactarán.

7 I nstead of your shame and confusion, A second time they sing of their portion, Therefore in their land A second time do they take possession, Joy age-during for them.

En vez de su vergüenza tendrán doble porción, Y en vez de humillación ellos gritarán de júbilo por su herencia. Por tanto poseerán el doble en su tierra, Y tendrán alegría eterna.

8 F or I Jehovah, loving judgment, Hating plunder for a burnt-offering, And I have given their wage in truth, And a covenant age-during I make for them.

Porque Yo, el Señor, amo el derecho, Odio el robo en el holocausto. Fielmente les daré su recompensa, Y haré con ellos un pacto eterno.

9 A nd known among nations hath been their seed, And their offspring in the midst of the peoples, All their beholders acknowledge them, For they a seed Jehovah hath blessed.

Entonces su descendencia será conocida entre las naciones, Y sus vástagos en medio de los pueblos. Todos los que los vean los reconocerán, Porque son la simiente que el Señor ha bendecido.

10 I greatly rejoice in Jehovah, Joy doth my soul in my God, For He clothed me with garments of salvation, With a robe of righteousness covereth Me, As a bridegroom prepareth ornaments, And as a bride putteth on her jewels.

En gran manera me gozaré en el Señor, Mi alma se regocijará en mi Dios. Porque El me ha vestido de ropas de salvación, Me ha envuelto en manto de justicia Como el novio se engalana con una corona, Como la novia se adorna con sus joyas.

11 F or, as the earth bringeth forth her shoots, And as a garden causeth its sown things to shoot up, So the Lord Jehovah causeth righteousness and praise To shoot up before all the nations!

Porque como la tierra produce sus renuevos, Y como el huerto hace brotar lo sembrado en él, Así el Señor Dios hará que la justicia y la alabanza Broten en presencia de todas las naciones.
