1 T o the Overseer. -- A Psalm of David. Jehovah doth answer thee, In a day of adversity, The name of the God of Jacob doth set thee on high,

Que el Señor te responda en el día de la angustia; Que el nombre del Dios de Jacob te ponga en alto.

2 H e doth send thy help from the sanctuary, And from Zion doth support thee,

Que desde el santuario te envíe ayuda Y desde Sion te sostenga.

3 H e doth remember all thy presents, And thy burnt-offering doth reduce to ashes. Selah.

Que se acuerde de todas tus ofrendas, Y halle aceptable tu holocausto. (Selah)

4 H e doth give to thee according to thy heart, And all thy counsel doth fulfil.

Que te conceda el deseo de tu corazón, Y cumpla todos tus anhelos.

5 W e sing of thy salvation, And in the name of our God set up a banner. Jehovah doth fulfil all thy requests.

Nosotros cantaremos con gozo por tu victoria (salvación), Y en el nombre de nuestro Dios alzaremos bandera. Que el Señor cumpla todas tus peticiones.

6 N ow I have known That Jehovah hath saved His anointed, He answereth him from His holy heavens, With the saving might of His right hand.

Ahora sé que el Señor salva a Su ungido; Le responderá desde Su santo cielo Con la potencia salvadora de Su diestra.

7 S ome of chariots, and some of horses, And we of the name of Jehovah our God Make mention.

Algunos confían en carros y otros en caballos, Pero nosotros en el nombre del Señor nuestro Dios confiaremos.

8 T hey -- they have bowed and have fallen, And we have risen and station ourselves upright.

Ellos se doblegaron y cayeron, Pero nosotros nos hemos levantado y nos mantenemos en pie.

9 O Jehovah, save the king, He doth answer us in the day we call!

¡Salva, oh Señor! Que el Rey nos responda el día que clamemos.
