1 A nd it cometh to pass that mankind have begun to multiply on the face of the ground, and daughters have been born to them,

Aconteció que cuando los hombres comenzaron a multiplicarse sobre la superficie de la tierra, y les nacieron hijas,

2 a nd sons of God see the daughters of men that they fair, and they take to themselves women of all whom they have chosen.

los hijos de Dios vieron que las hijas de los hombres eran hermosas, y tomaron para sí mujeres de entre todas las que les gustaban.

3 A nd Jehovah saith, `My Spirit doth not strive in man -- to the age; in their erring they flesh:' and his days have been an hundred and twenty years.

Entonces el Señor dijo: “Mi Espíritu no luchará para siempre con el hombre, porque ciertamente él es carne. Serán, pues, sus días 120 años.”

4 T he fallen ones were in the earth in those days, and even afterwards when sons of God come in unto daughters of men, and they have borne to them -- they the heroes, who, from of old, the men of name.

Había gigantes en la tierra en aquellos días, y también después, cuando los hijos de Dios se unieron a las hijas de los hombres y ellas les dieron hijos. Estos son los héroes (valientes) de la antigüedad, hombres de renombre.

5 A nd Jehovah seeth that abundant the wickedness of man in the earth, and every imagination of the thoughts of his heart only evil all the day;

El Señor vio que era mucha la maldad de los hombres en la tierra, y que toda intención de los pensamientos de su corazón era sólo hacer siempre el mal.

6 a nd Jehovah repenteth that He hath made man in the earth, and He grieveth Himself -- unto His heart.

Y al Señor Le pesó haber hecho al hombre en la tierra, y sintió tristeza en Su corazón.

7 A nd Jehovah saith, `I wipe away man whom I have prepared from off the face of the ground, from man unto beast, unto creeping thing, and unto fowl of the heavens, for I have repented that I have made them.'

Entonces el Señor dijo: “Borraré de la superficie de la tierra al hombre que he creado, desde el hombre hasta el ganado, los reptiles y las aves del cielo, porque Me pesa haberlos hecho.”

8 A nd Noah found grace in the eyes of Jehovah.

Pero Noé halló gracia ante los ojos del Señor. Noé Construye el Arca

9 T hese births of Noah: Noah a righteous man; perfect he hath been among his generations; with God hath Noah walked habitually.

Estas son las generaciones de Noé. Noé era un hombre justo, perfecto (íntegro) entre sus contemporáneos. Noé siempre andaba con Dios.

10 A nd Noah begetteth three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth.

Noé engendró tres hijos: Sem, Cam y Jafet.

11 A nd the earth is corrupt before God, and the earth is filled violence.

Pero la tierra se había corrompido delante de Dios, y estaba la tierra llena de violencia.

12 A nd God seeth the earth, and lo, it hath been corrupted, for all flesh hath corrupted its way on the earth.

Dios miró a la tierra, y vio que estaba corrompida, porque toda carne (toda la gente) había corrompido su camino sobre la tierra.

13 A nd God said to Noah, `An end of all flesh hath come before Me, for the earth hath been full of violence from their presence; and lo, I am destroying them with the earth.

Entonces Dios dijo a Noé: “He decidido poner fin a toda carne, porque la tierra está llena de violencia por causa de ellos; por eso voy a destruirlos junto con la tierra.

14 ` Make for thyself an ark of gopher-wood; rooms dost thou make with the ark, and thou hast covered it within and without with cypress;

Hazte un arca de madera de ciprés. Harás el arca con compartimientos, y la cubrirás con brea por dentro y por fuera.

15 a nd this that which thou dost with it: three hundred cubits the length of the ark, fifty cubits its breadth, and thirty cubits its height;

De esta manera la harás: de 135 metros la longitud del arca, de 22. 5 metros su anchura y de 13. 5 metros su altura.

16 a window dost thou make for the ark, and unto a cubit thou dost restrain it from above; and the opening of the ark thou dost put in its side, -- lower, second, and third dost thou make it.

Le harás una ventana que terminará a 45 centímetros del techo, y pondrás la puerta en su costado. Harás el arca de tres pisos.

17 ` And I, lo, I am bringing in the deluge of waters on the earth to destroy all flesh, in which a living spirit, from under the heavens; all that in the earth doth expire.

“Entonces Yo traeré un diluvio sobre la tierra, para destruir toda carne (todo ser viviente) en que hay aliento de vida debajo del cielo. Todo lo que hay en la tierra perecerá.

18 ` And I have established My covenant with thee, and thou hast come in unto the ark, thou, and thy sons, and thy wife, and thy son's wives with thee;

Pero estableceré Mi pacto contigo. Entrarás en el arca tú, y contigo tus hijos, tu mujer y las mujeres de tus hijos.

19 a nd of all that liveth, of all flesh, two of every thou dost bring in unto the ark, to keep alive with thee; male and female are they.

“Y de todo ser viviente, de toda carne, meterás dos de cada especie en el arca, para preservar les la vida contigo; macho y hembra serán.

20 O f the fowl after its kind, and of the cattle after their kind, of every creeping thing of the ground after its kind, two of every they come in unto thee, to keep alive.

De las aves según su especie, de los animales según su especie y de todo reptil de la tierra según su especie, dos de cada especie vendrán a ti para que les preserves la vida.

21 ` And thou, take to thyself of all food that is eaten; and thou hast gathered unto thyself, and it hath been to thee and to them for food.'

“Y tú, toma para ti de todo alimento que se come, y almacénalo, y será alimento para ti y para ellos.”

22 A nd Noah doth according to all that God hath commanded him; so hath he done.

Así lo hizo Noé; conforme a todo lo que Dios le había mandado, así lo hizo.
