1 A nd having gone forth, Jesus departed from the temple, and his disciples came near to show him the buildings of the temple,

Cuando Jesús salió del templo, y se iba, se acercaron Sus discípulos para mostrarle los edificios del templo.

2 a nd Jesus said to them, `Do ye not see all these? verily I say to you, There may not be left here a stone upon a stone, that shall not be thrown down.'

Pero El les dijo: “¿Ven todo esto? En verdad les digo que no quedará aquí piedra sobre piedra que no sea derribada.” Señales antes del Fin

3 A nd when he is sitting on the mount of the Olives, the disciples came near to him by himself, saying, `Tell us, when shall these be? and what the sign of thy presence, and of the full end of the age?'

Estando Jesús sentado en el Monte de los Olivos, se acercaron a El los discípulos en privado, y Le preguntaron: “Dinos, ¿cuándo sucederá esto, y cuál será la señal de Tu venida y de la consumación de este siglo?”

4 A nd Jesus answering said to them, `Take heed that no one may lead you astray,

Jesús les respondió: “Tengan cuidado de que nadie los engañe.

5 f or many shall come in my name, saying, I am the Christ, and they shall lead many astray,

Porque muchos vendrán en Mi nombre, diciendo: ‘Yo soy el Cristo (el Mesías),’ y engañarán a muchos.

6 a nd ye shall begin to hear of wars, and reports of wars; see, be not troubled, for it behoveth all to come to pass, but the end is not yet.

Ustedes van a oír de guerras y rumores de guerras. ¡Cuidado! No se alarmen, porque es necesario que todo esto suceda; pero todavía no es el fin.

7 ` For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places;

Porque se levantará nación contra nación, y reino contra reino, y en diferentes lugares habrá hambre y terremotos.

8 a nd all these the beginning of sorrows;

Pero todo esto es sólo el comienzo de dolores.

9 t hen they shall deliver you up to tribulation, and shall kill you, and ye shall be hated by all the nations because of my name;

“Entonces los entregarán a tribulación, y los matarán, y serán odiados de todas las naciones por causa de mi nombre.

10 a nd then shall many be stumbled, and they shall deliver up one another, and shall hate one another.

Muchos se apartarán de la fe entonces, y se traicionarán unos a otros, y unos a otros se odiarán.

11 ` And many false prophets shall arise, and shall lead many astray;

Se levantarán muchos falsos profetas, y a muchos engañarán.

12 a nd because of the abounding of the lawlessness, the love of the many shall become cold;

Y debido al aumento de la iniquidad, el amor de muchos se enfriará.

13 b ut he who did endure to the end, he shall be saved;

Pero el que persevere hasta el fin, ése será salvo.

14 a nd this good news of the reign shall be proclaimed in all the world, for a testimony to all the nations; and then shall the end arrive.

Y este evangelio del reino se predicará en todo el mundo como testimonio a todas las naciones, y entonces vendrá el fin. La Abominación de la Desolación

15 ` Whenever, therefore, ye may see the abomination of the desolation, that was spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place (whoever is reading let him observe)

“Por tanto, cuando ustedes vean la abominacion de la desolacion, de que se habló por medio del profeta Daniel, colocada en el lugar santo, y el que lea que entienda,

16 t hen those in Judea -- let them flee to the mounts;

entonces los que estén en Judea, huyan a los montes.

17 h e on the house-top -- let him not come down to take up any thing out of his house;

El que esté en la azotea, no baje a sacar las cosas de su casa;

18 a nd he in the field -- let him not turn back to take his garments.

y el que esté en el campo, no vuelva atrás a tomar su capa.

19 ` And wo to those with child, and to those giving suck in those days;

Pero ¡ay de las que estén encinta y de las que estén criando en aquellos días!

20 a nd pray ye that your flight may not be in winter, nor on a sabbath;

Oren para que la huida de ustedes no suceda en invierno, ni en día de reposo.

21 f or there shall be then great tribulation, such as was not from the beginning of the world till now, no, nor may be.

Porque habrá entonces una gran tribulación, tal como no ha acontecido desde el principio del mundo hasta ahora, ni acontecerá jamás.

22 A nd if those days were not shortened, no flesh would have been saved; but because of the chosen, shall those days be shortened.

Y si aquellos días no fueran acortados, nadie se salvaría; pero por causa de los escogidos, aquellos días serán acortados.

23 ` Then if any one may say to you, Lo, here the Christ! or here! ye may not believe;

Entonces si alguien les dice: ‘Miren, aquí está el Cristo (el Mesías),’ o ‘Allí está,’ no lo crean.

24 f or there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and they shall give great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, also the chosen.

Porque se levantarán falsos Cristos y falsos profetas, y mostrarán grandes señales y prodigios, para así engañar, de ser posible, aun a los escogidos.

25 L o, I did tell you beforehand.

Vean que se lo he dicho de antemano.

26 ` If therefore they may say to you, Lo, in the wilderness he is, ye may not go forth; lo, in the inner chambers, ye may not believe;

Por tanto, si les dicen: ‘Miren, El está en el desierto,’ no vayan; o ‘Miren, El está en las habitaciones interiores,’ no les crean.

27 f or as the lightning doth come forth from the east, and doth appear unto the west, so shall be also the presence of the Son of Man;

Porque así como el relámpago sale del oriente y resplandece hasta el occidente, así será la venida del Hijo del Hombre.

28 f or wherever the carcase may be, there shall the eagles be gathered together.

Donde esté el cadáver, allí se juntarán los buitres.

29 ` And immediately after the tribulation of those days, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from the heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken;

“Pero inmediatamente después de la tribulación de esos días, el sol se oscurecera, la luna no dara su luz, las estrellas caeran del cielo y las potencias de los cielos serán sacudidas.

30 a nd then shall appear the sign of the Son of Man in the heaven; and then shall all the tribes of the earth smite the breast, and they shall see the Son of Man coming upon the clouds of the heaven, with power and much glory;

Entonces aparecerá en el cielo la señal del Hijo del Hombre; y todas las tribus de la tierra harán duelo, y verán al Hijo del Hombre que viene sobre las nubes del cielo con poder y gran gloria.

31 a nd he shall send his messengers with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his chosen from the four winds, from the ends of the heavens unto the ends thereof.

Y El enviará a Sus ángeles con una gran trompeta y reuniran a Sus escogidos de los cuatro vientos, desde un extremo de los cielos hasta el otro. Parábola de la Higuera

32 ` And from the fig-tree learn ye the simile: When already its branch may have become tender, and the leaves it may put forth, ye know that summer nigh,

“De la higuera aprendan la parábola: cuando su rama ya se pone tierna y echa las hojas, saben que el verano está cerca.

33 s o also ye, when ye may see all these, ye know that it is nigh -- at the doors.

Así también ustedes, cuando vean todas estas cosas, sepan que El está cerca, a las puertas.

34 V erily I say to you, this generation may not pass away till all these may come to pass.

En verdad les digo que no pasará esta generación hasta que todo esto suceda.

35 T he heaven and the earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

El cielo y la tierra pasarán, pero Mis palabras no pasarán.

36 ` And concerning that day and the hour no one hath known -- not even the messengers of the heavens -- except my Father only;

“Pero de aquel día y hora nadie sabe, ni siquiera los ángeles del cielo, ni el Hijo, sino sólo el Padre.

37 a nd as the days of Noah -- so shall be also the presence of the Son of Man;

Porque como en los días de Noé, así será la venida del Hijo del Hombre.

38 f or as they were, in the days before the flood, eating, and drinking, marrying, and giving in marriage, till the day Noah entered into the ark,

Pues así como en aquellos días antes del diluvio estaban comiendo y bebiendo, casándose y dándose en matrimonio, hasta el día en que Noé entró en el arca,

39 a nd they did not know till the flood came and took all away; so shall be also the presence of the Son of Man.

y no comprendieron hasta que vino el diluvio y se los llevó a todos; así será la venida del Hijo del Hombre.

40 T hen two men shall be in the field, the one is received, and the one is left;

Entonces estarán dos en el campo; uno será llevado y el otro será dejado.

41 t wo women shall be grinding in the mill, one is received, and one is left.

Dos mujeres estarán moliendo en el molino; una será llevada y la otra será dejada.

42 ` Watch ye therefore, because ye have not known in what hour your Lord doth come;

Por tanto, velen (estén alerta), porque no saben en qué día viene su Señor.

43 a nd this know, that if the master of the house had known in what watch the thief doth come, he had watched, and not suffered his house to be broken through;

Pero entiendan esto: si el dueño de la casa hubiera sabido a qué hora de la noche iba a venir el ladrón, hubiera estado alerta y no hubiera permitido que entrara en su casa.

44 b ecause of this also ye, become ye ready, because in what hour ye do not think, the Son of Man doth come.

Por eso, también ustedes estén preparados, porque a la hora que no piensan vendrá el Hijo del Hombre. Parábola del Siervo Fiel y del Infiel

45 ` Who, then, is the servant, faithful and wise, whom his lord did set over his household, to give them the nourishment in season?

“¿ Quién es, pues, el siervo fiel y prudente a quien su señor puso sobre los de su casa para que les diera la comida a su tiempo?

46 H appy that servant, whom his lord, having come, shall find doing so;

Dichoso (Bienaventurado) aquel siervo a quien, cuando su señor venga, lo encuentre haciendo así.

47 v erily I say to you, that over all his substance he will set him.

De cierto les digo que lo pondrá sobre todos sus bienes.

48 ` And, if that evil servant may say in his heart, My Lord doth delay to come,

Pero si aquel siervo es malo, y dice en su corazón: ‘Mi señor tardará ’;

49 a nd may begin to beat the fellow-servants, and to eat and to drink with the drunken,

y empieza a golpear a sus consiervos, y come y bebe con los que se emborrachan,

50 t he lord of that servant will arrive in a day when he doth not expect, and in an hour of which he doth not know,

vendrá el señor de aquel siervo el día que no lo espera, y a una hora que no sabe,

51 a nd will cut him off, and his portion with the hypocrites will appoint; there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of the teeth.

y lo azotará severamente y le asignará un lugar con los hipócritas; allí será el llanto y el crujir de dientes.
