2 t o the saints in Colossae, and to the faithful brethren in Christ: Grace to you, and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ!

a los santos y fieles hermanos en Cristo (el Mesías) que están en Colosas: Gracia a ustedes y paz de parte de Dios nuestro Padre. Gratitud de Pablo por los Colosenses

3 W e give thanks to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, always praying for you,

Damos gracias a Dios, el Padre de nuestro Señor Jesucristo, orando siempre por ustedes,

4 h aving heard of your faith in Christ Jesus, and of the love that to all the saints,

pues hemos oído de su fe en Cristo Jesús y del amor que tienen por (hacia) todos los santos,

5 b ecause of the hope that is laid up for you in the heavens, which ye heard of before in the word of the truth of the good news,

a causa de la esperanza reservada para ustedes en los cielos. De esta esperanza ustedes oyeron antes en la palabra de verdad, el evangelio (las buenas nuevas)

6 w hich is present to you, as also in all the world, and is bearing fruit, as also in you, from the day in which ye heard, and knew the grace of God in truth;

que ha llegado hasta ustedes. Así como en todo el mundo está dando fruto constantemente y creciendo, así lo ha estado haciendo también en ustedes, desde el día que oyeron y comprendieron la gracia de Dios en verdad.

7 a s ye also learned from Epaphras, our beloved fellow-servant, who is for you a faithful ministrant of the Christ,

Así ustedes lo aprendieron de Epafras, nuestro amado consiervo, quien es fiel servidor de Cristo de parte nuestra,

8 w ho also did declare to us your love in the Spirit.

el cual también nos informó acerca del amor de ustedes en el Espíritu. Pablo Ora por los Colosenses

9 B ecause of this, we also, from the day in which we heard, do not cease praying for you, and asking that ye may be filled with the full knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding,

Por esta razón, también nosotros, desde el día que lo supimos ( lo oímos), no hemos cesado de orar por ustedes, pidiendo que sean llenos del conocimiento de Su voluntad en toda sabiduría y comprensión espiritual,

10 t o your walking worthily of the Lord to all pleasing, in every good work being fruitful, and increasing to the knowledge of God,

para que anden como es digno del Señor, haciendo en todo, lo que Le agrada, dando fruto en toda buena obra y creciendo en el conocimiento de Dios.

11 i n all might being made mighty according to the power of His glory, to all endurance and long-suffering with joy.

Rogamos que ustedes sean fortalecidos con todo poder según la potencia de Su gloria, para obtener toda perseverancia y paciencia, con gozo

12 G iving thanks to the Father who did make us meet for the participation of the inheritance of the saints in the light,

dando gracias al Padre que nos ha capacitado para compartir la herencia de los santos en la Luz. La Persona y la Obra de Jesucristo

13 w ho did rescue us out of the authority of the darkness, and did translate into the reign of the Son of His love,

Porque El nos libró del dominio (de la autoridad) de las tinieblas y nos trasladó al reino de Su Hijo amado,

14 i n whom we have the redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of the sins,

en quien tenemos redención: el perdón de los pecados.

15 w ho is the image of the invisible God, first-born of all creation,

El es la imagen del Dios invisible, el primogénito de toda creación.

16 b ecause in him were the all things created, those in the heavens, and those upon the earth, those visible, and those invisible, whether thrones, whether lordships, whether principalities, whether authorities; all things through him, and for him, have been created,

Porque en El fueron creadas todas las cosas, tanto en los cielos como en la tierra, visibles e invisibles; ya sean tronos o dominios o poderes o autoridades; todo ha sido creado por medio de El y para El.

17 a nd himself is before all, and the all things in him have consisted.

Y El es (ha existido) antes de todas las cosas, y en El todas las cosas permanecen.

18 A nd himself is the head of the body -- the assembly -- who is a beginning, a first-born out of the dead, that he might become in all -- himself -- first,

El es también la cabeza del cuerpo que es la iglesia. El es el principio, el primogénito de entre los muertos, a fin de que El tenga en todo la primacía.

19 b ecause in him it did please all the fulness to tabernacle,

Porque agradó al Padre que en El habitara toda la plenitud (de la Deidad),

20 a nd through him to reconcile the all things to himself -- having made peace through the blood of his cross -- through him, whether the things upon the earth, whether the things in the heavens.

y por medio de El reconciliar todas las cosas consigo, habiendo hecho la paz por medio de la sangre de Su cruz, por medio de El, repito, ya sean las que están en la tierra o las que están en los cielos.

21 A nd you -- once being alienated, and enemies in the mind, in the evil works, yet now did he reconcile,

Y aunque ustedes antes estaban alejados y eran de ánimo hostil, ocupados en malas obras,

22 i n the body of his flesh through the death, to present you holy, and unblemished, and unblameable before himself,

sin embargo, ahora Dios los ha reconciliado en Cristo en Su cuerpo de carne, mediante Su muerte, a fin de presentarlos santos, sin mancha e irreprensibles delante de El.

23 i f also ye remain in the faith, being founded and settled, and not moved away from the hope of the good news, which ye heard, which was preached in all the creation that under the heaven, of which I became -- I Paul -- a ministrant.

Esto El hará si en verdad permanecen en la fe bien cimentados y constantes, sin moverse de la esperanza del evangelio que han oído, que fue proclamado a toda la creación debajo del cielo, y del cual yo, Pablo, fui hecho ministro (servidor). Cristo en Ustedes, la Esperanza de Gloria

24 I now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and do fill up the things lacking of the tribulations of the Christ in my flesh for his body, which is the assembly,

Ahora me alegro de mis sufrimientos por ustedes, y en mi carne, completando lo que falta de las aflicciones de Cristo, hago mi parte por Su cuerpo, que es la iglesia.

25 o f which I -- I did become a ministrant according to the dispensation of God, that was given to me for you, to fulfil the word of God,

De esta iglesia fui hecho ministro conforme a la administración de Dios que me fue dada para beneficio de ustedes, a fin de llevar a cabo la predicación de la palabra de Dios,

26 t he secret that hath been hid from the ages and from the generations, but now was manifested to his saints,

es decir, el misterio que ha estado oculto desde los siglos y generaciones, pero que ahora ha sido manifestado a sus santos.

27 t o whom God did will to make known what the riches of the glory of this secret among the nations -- which is Christ in you, the hope of the glory,

A éstos Dios quiso dar a conocer cuáles son las riquezas de la gloria de este misterio entre los Gentiles, que es Cristo en ustedes, la esperanza de la gloria.

28 w hom we proclaim, warning every man, and teaching every man, in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus,

A El nosotros proclamamos (anunciamos), amonestando a todos los hombres, y enseñando a todos los hombres con toda sabiduría, a fin de poder presentar a todo hombre perfecto en Cristo.

29 f or which also I labour, striving according to his working that is working in me in power.

Con este fin también trabajo, esforzándome según Su poder que obra poderosamente en mí.
