1 F or we have known that if our earthly house of the tabernacle may be thrown down, a building from God we have, an house not made with hands -- age-during -- in the heavens,

Porque sabemos que si la tienda terrenal que es nuestra morada, es destruida, tenemos de Dios un edificio, una casa no hecha por manos, eterna en los cielos.

2 f or also in this we groan, with our dwelling that is from heaven earnestly desiring to clothe ourselves,

Pues, en verdad, en esta morada gemimos, anhelando ser vestidos con nuestra habitación celestial;

3 i f so be that, having clothed ourselves, we shall not be found naked,

y una vez vestidos, no seremos hallados desnudos.

4 f or we also who are in the tabernacle do groan, being burdened, seeing we wish not to unclothe ourselves, but to clothe ourselves, that the mortal may be swallowed up of the life.

Porque asimismo, los que estamos en esta tienda, gemimos agobiados, pues no queremos ser desvestidos, sino vestidos, para que lo mortal sea absorbido por la vida.

5 A nd He who did work us to this self-same thing God, who also did give to us the earnest of the Spirit;

Y el que nos preparó para esto mismo es Dios, quien nos dio el Espíritu como garantía.

6 h aving courage, then, at all times, and knowing that being at home in the body, we are away from home from the Lord, --

Por tanto, animados siempre y sabiendo que mientras habitamos (estamos presentes) en el cuerpo, estamos ausentes del Señor.

7 f or through faith we walk, not through sight --

Porque por fe andamos, no por vista (no por apariencias).

8 w e have courage, and are well pleased rather to be away from the home of the body, and to be at home with the Lord.

Pero cobramos ánimo y preferimos más bien estar ausentes del cuerpo y habitar (estar presentes) con el Señor.

9 W herefore also we are ambitious, whether at home or away from home, to be well pleasing to him,

Por eso, ya sea presentes o ausentes, ambicionamos agradar al Señor.

10 f or all of us it behoveth to be manifested before the tribunal of the Christ, that each one may receive the things through the body, in reference to the things that he did, whether good or evil;

Porque todos nosotros debemos comparecer ante el tribunal de Cristo, para que cada uno sea recompensado por sus hechos estando en el cuerpo, de acuerdo con lo que hizo, sea bueno o sea malo. La Nueva Criatura

11 h aving known, therefore, the fear of the Lord, we persuade men, and to God we are manifested, and I hope also in your consciences to have been manifested;

Por tanto, conociendo el temor del Señor, persuadimos a los hombres, pero a Dios somos manifiestos, y espero que también seamos manifiestos en las conciencias de ustedes.

12 f or not again ourselves do we recommend to you, but we are giving occasion to you of glorifying in our behalf, that ye may have in reference to those glorifying in face and not in heart;

No nos recomendamos otra vez a ustedes, sino que les damos oportunidad de estar orgullosos de nosotros, para que tengan respuesta para los que se jactan en las apariencias y no en el corazón.

13 f or whether we were beside ourselves, to God; whether we be of sound mind -- to you,

Porque si estamos locos, es para Dios; y si estamos cuerdos, es para ustedes.

14 f or the love of the Christ doth constrain us, having judged thus: that if one for all died, then the whole died,

Pues el amor de Cristo nos apremia (nos controla), habiendo llegado a esta conclusión: que Uno murió por todos, y por consiguiente, todos murieron.

15 a nd for all he died, that those living, no more to themselves may live, but to him who died for them, and was raised again.

Y por todos murió, para que los que viven, ya no vivan para sí, sino para Aquél que murió y resucitó por ellos.

16 S o that we henceforth have known no one according to the flesh, and even if we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know him no more;

De manera que nosotros de ahora en adelante ya no conocemos a nadie según la carne. Aunque hemos conocido a Cristo según la carne, sin embargo, ahora ya no Lo conocemos así.

17 s o that if any one in Christ -- a new creature; the old things did pass away, lo, become new have the all things.

De modo que si alguno está en Cristo, nueva criatura (nueva creación) es; las cosas viejas pasaron, ahora han sido hechas nuevas. El Ministerio de la Reconciliación

18 A nd the all things of God, who reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and did give to us the ministration of the reconciliation,

Y todo esto procede de Dios, quien nos reconcilió con El mismo por medio de Cristo, y nos dio el ministerio de la reconciliación;

19 h ow that God was in Christ -- a world reconciling to Himself, not reckoning to them their trespasses; and having put in us the word of the reconciliation,

es decir, que Dios estaba en Cristo reconciliando al mundo con El mismo, no tomando en cuenta a los hombres sus transgresiones, y nos ha encomendado a nosotros la palabra de la reconciliación.

20 i n behalf of Christ, then, we are ambassadors, as if God were calling through us, we beseech, in behalf of Christ, `Be ye reconciled to God;'

Por tanto, somos embajadores de Cristo, como si Dios rogara por medio de nosotros, en nombre de Cristo les rogamos: ¡Reconcíliense con Dios!

21 f or him who did not know sin, in our behalf He did make sin, that we may become the righteousness of God in him.

Al que no conoció pecado, Lo hizo pecado por nosotros, para que fuéramos hechos justicia de Dios en El.
