1 A nd Saul, yet breathing of threatening and slaughter to the disciples of the Lord, having gone to the chief priest,

Saulo (Pablo), respirando todavía amenazas y muerte contra los discípulos del Señor, fue al sumo sacerdote,

2 d id ask from him letters to Damascus, unto the synagogues, that if he may find any being of the way, both men and women, he may bring them bound to Jerusalem.

y le pidió cartas para las sinagogas de Damasco, para que si encontraba algunos que pertenecieran al Camino (de Jesús), tanto hombres como mujeres, los pudiera llevar atados a Jerusalén.

3 A nd in the going, he came nigh to Damascus, and suddenly there shone round about him a light from the heaven,

Y mientras viajaba, al acercarse a Damasco, de repente resplandeció a su alrededor una luz del cielo.

4 a nd having fallen upon the earth, he heard a voice saying to him, `Saul, Saul, why me dost thou persecute?'

Al caer a tierra, oyó una voz que le decía: “Saulo, Saulo, ¿por qué Me persigues ?”

5 A nd he said, `Who art thou, Lord?' and the Lord said, `I am Jesus whom thou dost persecute; hard for thee at the pricks to kick;'

“¿Quién eres, Señor?” preguntó Saulo. El Señor respondió: “Yo soy Jesús a quien tú persigues;

6 t rembling also, and astonished, he said, `Lord, what dost thou wish me to do?' and the Lord unto him, `Arise, and enter into the city, and it shall be told thee what it behoveth thee to do.'

levántate, entra en la ciudad, y se te dirá lo que debes hacer.”

7 A nd the men who are journeying with him stood speechless, hearing indeed the voice but seeing no one,

Los hombres que iban con él se detuvieron atónitos (mudos), oyendo la voz, pero sin ver a nadie.

8 a nd Saul arose from the earth, and his eyes having been opened, he beheld no one, and leading him by the hand they brought him to Damascus,

Saulo se levantó del suelo, y aunque sus ojos estaban abiertos, no veía nada; y llevándolo por la mano, lo trajeron a Damasco.

9 a nd he was three days without seeing, and he did neither eat nor drink.

Estuvo tres días sin ver, y no comió ni bebió. Ananías Visita a Saulo

10 A nd there was a certain disciple in Damascus, by name Ananias, and the Lord said unto him in a vision, `Ananias;' and he said, `Behold me, Lord;'

Había en Damasco cierto discípulo llamado Ananías; y el Señor le dijo en una visión: “Ananías.” “Aquí estoy, Señor,” contestó él.

11 a nd the Lord unto him, `Having risen, go on unto the street that is called Straight, and seek in the house of Judas, by name Saul of Tarsus, for, lo, he doth pray,

El Señor le dijo: “Levántate y ve a la calle que se llama Derecha, y pregunta en la casa de Judas por un hombre de Tarso llamado Saulo, porque él está orando,

12 a nd he saw in a vision a man, by name Ananias, coming in, and putting a hand on him, that he may see again.'

y ha visto en una visión a un hombre llamado Ananías, que entra y pone las manos sobre él para que recobre la vista.”

13 A nd Ananias answered, `Lord, I have heard from many about this man, how many evils he did to Thy saints in Jerusalem,

Pero Ananías respondió: “Señor, he oído de muchos acerca de este hombre, cuánto mal ha hecho a Tus santos en Jerusalén,

14 a nd here he hath authority from the chief priests, to bind all those calling on Thy name.'

y aquí tiene autoridad de los principales sacerdotes para prender a todos los que invocan Tu nombre.”

15 A nd the Lord said unto him, `Be going on, because a choice vessel to Me is this one, to bear My name before nations and kings -- the sons also of Israel;

Pero el Señor le dijo: “Ve, porque él es Mi instrumento escogido, para llevar Mi nombre en presencia de los Gentiles, de los reyes y de los Israelitas;

16 f or I will shew him how many things it behoveth him for My name to suffer.'

porque Yo le mostraré cuánto debe padecer por Mi nombre.”

17 A nd Ananias went away, and did enter into the house, and having put upon him hands, said, `Saul, brother, the Lord hath sent me -- Jesus who did appear to thee in the way in which thou wast coming -- that thou mayest see again, and mayest be filled with the Holy Spirit.'

Ananías fue y entró en la casa, y después de poner las manos sobre él, dijo: “Hermano Saulo, el Señor Jesús, que se te apareció en el camino por donde venías, me ha enviado para que recobres la vista y seas lleno del Espíritu Santo.”

18 A nd immediately there fell from his eyes as it were scales, he saw again also presently, and having risen, was baptized,

Al instante cayeron de sus ojos como unas escamas, y recobró la vista; y se levantó y fue bautizado.

19 a nd having received nourishment, was strengthened, and Saul was with the disciples in Damascus certain days,

Tomó alimentos y cobró fuerzas. Y por varios días estuvo con los discípulos que estaban en Damasco. Saulo Predica en Damasco

20 a nd immediately in the synagogues he was preaching the Christ, that he is the Son of God.

Enseguida se puso a predicar de Jesús en las sinagogas, diciendo: “El es el Hijo de Dios.”

21 A nd all those hearing were amazed, and said, `Is not this he who laid waist in Jerusalem those calling on this name, and hither to this intent had come, that he might bring them bound to the chief priests?'

Y todos los que lo escuchaban estaban asombrados y decían: “¿No es éste el que en Jerusalén destruía a los que invocaban este nombre, y el que había venido aquí con este propósito: para llevarlos atados ante los principales sacerdotes ?”

22 A nd Saul was still more strengthened, and he was confounding the Jews dwelling in Damascus, proving that this is the Christ.

Pero Saulo seguía fortaleciéndose y confundiendo a los Judíos que habitaban en Damasco, demostrando que este Jesús es el Cristo (el Mesías). Saulo Escapa de los Judíos

23 A nd when many days were fulfilled, the Jews took counsel together to kill him,

Después de muchos días, los Judíos tramaron deshacerse de él,

24 a nd their counsel against was known to Saul; they were also watching the gates both day and night, that they may kill him,

pero su plan llegó al conocimiento de Saulo. Y aun vigilaban las puertas día y noche con el intento de matarlo;

25 a nd the disciples having taken him, by night did let him down by the wall, letting down in a basket.

pero sus discípulos lo tomaron de noche y lo sacaron por una abertura en la muralla, bajándolo en una canasta. Saulo en Jerusalén

26 A nd Saul, having come to Jerusalem, did try to join himself to the disciples, and they were all afraid of him, not believing that he is a disciple,

Cuando Saulo llegó a Jerusalén, trataba de juntarse con los discípulos; pero todos le temían, no creyendo que era discípulo.

27 a nd Barnabas having taken him, brought unto the apostles, and did declare to them how in the way he saw the Lord, and that he spake to him, and how in Damascus he was speaking boldly in the name of Jesus.

Pero Bernabé lo tomó y lo presentó a los apóstoles, y les contó cómo Saulo había visto al Señor en el camino, y que El le había hablado, y cómo en Damasco había hablado con valor en el nombre de Jesús.

28 A nd he was with them, coming in and going out in Jerusalem,

Y estaba con ellos moviéndose libremente en Jerusalén, hablando con valor en el nombre del Señor.

29 a nd speaking boldly in the name of the Lord Jesus, he was both speaking and disputing with the Hellenists, and they were taking in hand to kill him,

También hablaba y discutía con los Judíos Helenistas; pero éstos intentaban matarlo.

30 a nd the brethren having known, brought him down to Cesarea, and sent him forth to Tarsus.

Pero cuando los hermanos lo supieron, lo llevaron a Cesarea, y de allí lo enviaron a Tarso.

31 T hen, indeed, the assemblies throughout all Judea, and Galilee, and Samaria, had peace, being built up, and, going on in the fear of the Lord, and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit, they were multiplied.

Entretanto la iglesia gozaba de paz por toda Judea, Galilea y Samaria, y era edificada; y andando en el temor del Señor y en la fortaleza del Espíritu Santo, seguía creciendo. Curación de Eneas

32 A nd it came to pass that Peter passing throughout all, came down also unto the saints who were dwelling at Lydda,

Mientras Pedro viajaba por todas aquellas regiones, vino también a los santos que vivían en Lida.

33 a nd he found there a certain man, Aeneas by name -- for eight years laid upon a couch -- who was paralytic,

Allí encontró a un hombre llamado Eneas, que había estado postrado en cama por ocho años, porque estaba paralítico.

34 a nd Peter said to him, `Aeneas, heal thee doth Jesus the Christ; arise and spread for thyself;' and immediately he rose,

Y Pedro le dijo: “Eneas, Jesucristo te sana; levántate y haz tu cama.” Y al instante se levantó.

35 a nd all those dwelling at Lydda, and Saron saw him, and did turn to the Lord.

Todos los que vivían en Lida y en Sarón lo vieron, y se convirtieron al Señor. Resurrección de Dorcas

36 A nd in Joppa there was a certain female disciple, by name Tabitha, (which interpreted, is called Dorcas,) this woman was full of good works and kind acts that she was doing;

Había entonces en Jope una discípula llamada Tabita, que traducido al Griego es Dorcas; esta mujer era rica en obras buenas y de caridad que hacía continuamente.

37 a nd it came to pass in those days she, having ailed, died, and having bathed her, they laid her in an upper chamber,

Y sucedió que en aquellos días se enfermó y murió; y lavado su cuerpo, lo pusieron en un aposento alto.

38 a nd Lydda being nigh to Joppa, the disciples having heard that Peter is in that, sent two men unto him, calling on him not to delay to come through unto them.

Como Lida estaba cerca de Jope, los discípulos, al oír que Pedro estaba allí, le enviaron dos hombres, rogándo le: “No tarde usted en venir a nosotros.”

39 A nd Peter having risen, went with them, whom having come, they brought into the upper chamber, and all the widows stood by him weeping, and shewing coats and garments, as many as Dorcas was making while she was with them.

Entonces Pedro se levantó y fue con ellos. Cuando llegó lo llevaron al aposento alto, y todas las viudas lo rodearon llorando, mostrando todas las túnicas y ropas que Dorcas solía hacer cuando estaba con ellas.

40 A nd Peter having put them all forth without, having bowed the knees, did pray, and having turned unto the body said, `Tabitha, arise;' and she opened her eyes, and having seen Peter, she sat up,

Pero Pedro, haciendo salir a todos, se arrodilló y oró, y volviéndose al cadáver, dijo: “Tabita, levántate.” Ella abrió los ojos, y al ver a Pedro, se incorporó.

41 a nd having given her hand, he lifted her up, and having called the saints and the widows, he presented her alive,

El le dio la mano y la levantó; y llamando a los santos (los creyentes) y a las viudas, la presentó viva.

42 a nd it became known throughout all Joppa, and many believed on the Lord;

Esto se supo en todo Jope, y muchos creyeron en el Señor.

43 a nd it came to pass, that he remained many days in Joppa, with a certain one, Simon a tanner.

Pedro se quedó en Jope muchos días con un tal Simón, que era curtidor.
