1 A nd to the messenger of the assembly in Sardis write: These things saith he who is having the Seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars: I have known thy works, and that thou hast the name that thou dost live, and thou art dead;

“Escribe al ángel de la iglesia en Sardis: ‘El que tiene los siete Espíritus de Dios y las siete estrellas, dice esto: “Yo conozco tus obras, que tienes nombre de que vives, pero estás muerto.

2 b ecome watching, and strengthen the rest of the things that are about to die, for I have not found thy works fulfilled before God.

Ponte en vela y afirma las cosas que quedan, que estaban a punto de morir, porque no he hallado completas tus obras delante de Mi Dios.

3 ` Remember, then, how thou hast received, and heard, and be keeping, and reform: if, then, thou mayest not watch, I will come upon thee as a thief, and thou mayest not know what hour I will come upon thee.

Acuérdate, pues, de lo que has recibido y oído; guárda lo y arrepiéntete. Por tanto, si no velas, vendré como ladrón, y no sabrás a qué hora vendré sobre ti.

4 T hou hast a few names even in Sardis who did not defile their garments, and they shall walk with me in white, because they are worthy.

Pero tienes unos pocos en Sardis que no han manchado sus vestiduras, y andarán conmigo vestidos de blanco, porque son dignos.

5 H e who is overcoming -- this one -- shall be arrayed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the scroll of the life, and I will confess his name before my Father, and before His messengers.

Así el vencedor será vestido de vestiduras blancas y no borraré su nombre del Libro de la Vida, y reconoceré su nombre delante de Mi Padre y delante de Sus ángeles.

6 H e who is having an ear -- let him hear what the Spirit saith to the assemblies.

El que tiene oído, oiga lo que el Espíritu dice a las iglesias.”’” Mensaje a la Iglesia de Filadelfia

7 ` And to the messenger of the assembly in Philadelphia write: These things saith he who is holy, he who is true, he who is having the key of David, he who is opening and no one doth shut, and he shutteth and no one doth open!

“Escribe al ángel de la iglesia en Filadelfia: ‘El Santo, el Verdadero, el que tiene la llave de David, el que abre y nadie cierra, y cierra y nadie abre, dice esto:

8 I have known thy works; lo, I have set before thee a door -- opened, and no one is able to shut it, because thou hast a little power, and didst keep my word, and didst not deny my name;

“Yo conozco tus obras. Por tanto he puesto delante de ti una puerta abierta que nadie puede cerrar. Aunque tienes poco poder, has guardado Mi palabra y no has negado Mi nombre.

9 l o, I make of the synagogue of the Adversary those saying themselves to be Jews, and are not, but do lie; lo, I will make them that they may come and bow before thy feet, and may know that I loved thee.

Por tanto, Yo entregaré a aquéllos de la sinagoga de Satanás que se dicen ser Judíos y no lo son, sino que mienten; Yo haré que vengan y se postren a tus pies, y sepan que Yo te he amado.

10 ` Because thou didst keep the word of my endurance, I also will keep thee from the hour of the trial that is about to come upon all the world, to try those dwelling upon the earth.

Porque has guardado la palabra de Mi perseverancia, Yo también te guardaré de la hora de la prueba (de la tentación), esa hora que está por venir sobre todo el mundo para poner a prueba a los que habitan sobre la tierra.

11 L o, I come quickly, be holding fast that which thou hast, that no one may receive thy crown.

Vengo pronto. Retén firme lo que tienes, para que nadie tome tu corona.

12 H e who is overcoming -- I will make him a pillar in the sanctuary of my God, and without he may not go any more, and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, that doth come down out of the heaven from my God -- also my new name.

Al vencedor le haré una columna en el templo de Mi Dios, y nunca más saldrá de allí. Escribiré sobre él el nombre de Mi Dios y el nombre de la ciudad de Mi Dios, la nueva Jerusalén, que desciende del cielo de Mi Dios, y Mi nombre nuevo.

13 H e who is having an ear -- let him hear what the Spirit saith to the assemblies.

El que tiene oído, oiga lo que el Espíritu dice a las iglesias.”’” Mensaje a la Iglesia de Laodicea

14 ` And to the messenger of the assembly of the Laodiceans write: These things saith the Amen, the witness -- the faithful and true -- the chief of the creation of God;

“Escribe al ángel de la iglesia en Laodicea: ‘El Amén, el Testigo fiel y verdadero, el Principio de la creación de Dios, dice esto:

15 I have known thy works, that neither cold art thou nor hot; I would thou wert cold or hot.

“Yo conozco tus obras, que ni eres frío ni caliente. ¡Ojalá fueras frío o caliente!

16 S o -- because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I am about to vomit thee out of my mouth;

Así, puesto que eres tibio, y no frío ni caliente, te vomitaré de Mi boca.

17 b ecause thou sayest -- I am rich, and have grown rich, and have need of nothing, and hast not known that thou art the wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked,

Porque dices: ‘Soy rico, me he enriquecido y de nada tengo necesidad.’ No sabes que eres un miserable y digno de lástima, y pobre, ciego y desnudo.

18 I counsel thee to buy from me gold fired by fire, that thou mayest be rich, and white garments that thou mayest be arrayed, and the shame of thy nakedness may not be manifest, and with eye-salve anoint thine eyes, that thou mayest see.

Te aconsejo que de Mí compres oro refinado por fuego para que te hagas rico, y vestiduras blancas para que te vistas y no se manifieste la vergüenza de tu desnudez, y colirio para ungir tus ojos y que puedas ver.

19 ` As many as I love, I do convict and chasten; be zealous, then, and reform;

Yo reprendo y disciplino a todos los que amo. Sé, pues, celoso y arrepiéntete.

20 l o, I have stood at the door, and I knock; if any one may hear my voice, and may open the door, I will come in unto him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

Yo estoy a la puerta y llamo; si alguien oye Mi voz y abre la puerta, entraré a él, y cenaré con él y él conmigo.

21 H e who is overcoming -- I will give to him to sit with me in my throne, as I also did overcome and did sit down with my Father in His throne.

Al vencedor, le concederé sentarse conmigo en Mi trono, como yo también vencí y me senté con Mi Padre en Su trono.

22 H e who is having an ear -- let him hear what the Spirit saith to the assemblies.'

El que tiene oído, oiga lo que el Espíritu dice a las iglesias.”’”
