1 I n the tenth year, in the tenth, in the twelfth of the month, hath a word of Jehovah been unto me, saying,

En el año décimo, el mes décimo, a los doce días del mes, vino a mí la palabra del Señor:

2 ` Son of man, set thy face against Pharaoh king of Egypt, and prophesy concerning him, and concerning Egypt -- all of it.

“Hijo de hombre, pon tu rostro contra Faraón, rey de Egipto, y profetiza contra él y contra todo Egipto.

3 S peak, and thou hast said: Thus said the Lord Jehovah: Lo, I against thee, Pharaoh king of Egypt! The great dragon that is crouching in the midst of his floods, Who hath said, My flood my own, And I -- I have made it myself.

Habla y di: ‘Así dice el Señor Dios: “Yo estoy contra ti, Faraón, rey de Egipto, El gran monstruo que yace en medio de sus ríos, Que ha dicho: ‘Mío es el Nilo, Yo mismo me lo hice.’

4 A nd I have put hooks in thy jaws, And I have caused the fish of thy floods to cleave to thy scales, And I have caused thee to come up from the midst of thy floods, And every fish of thy floods to thy scales doth cleave.

Pondré garfios en tus quijadas, Y haré que los peces de tus ríos se peguen a tus escamas; Te sacaré de en medio de tus ríos, Con todos los peces de tus ríos pegados a tus escamas.

5 A nd I have left thee in the wilderness, Thou and every fish of thy floods, On the face of the field thou dost fall, Thou art not gathered nor assembled, To the beast of the earth and to the fowl of the heavens I have given thee for food.

Y te abandonaré en el desierto, A ti y a todos los peces de tus ríos. Caerás en campo abierto, No serás juntado ni recogido. A las fieras de la tierra y a las aves del cielo Te he dado por alimento.

6 A nd known have all inhabitants of Egypt That I Jehovah, Because of their being a staff of reed to the house of Israel.

Entonces sabrán todos los habitantes de Egipto que Yo soy el Señor, Porque han sido sólo vara de caña para la casa de Israel.

7 I n their taking hold of thee by thy hand, -- thou art crushed, And hast rent to them all the shoulder, And in their leaning on thee thou art broken, And hast caused all their thighs to stand.

Cuando te tomaron en la mano, Te quebraste, y desgarraste todas sus manos; Y cuando se apoyaron en ti, Te quebraste y e hiciste que se estremecieran todos sus lomos.’”

8 T herefore, thus said the Lord Jehovah: Lo, I am bringing in against thee a sword, And have cut off from thee man and beast.

‘Por tanto, así dice el Señor Dios: “Voy a traer contra ti la espada, y exterminaré de ti hombres y animales.

9 A nd the land of Egypt hath been for a desolation and a waste, And they have known that I Jehovah. Because he said: The flood mine, and I made.

Y la tierra de Egipto se convertirá en desolación y ruina. Entonces sabrán que Yo soy el Señor. Porque dijiste: ‘El Nilo es mío y yo lo he hecho,’

10 T herefore, lo, I against thee, and against thy floods, And have given the land of Egypt for wastes, A waste, a desolation, from Migdol to Syene, And unto the border of Cush.

por tanto, estoy contra ti y contra tus ríos, y haré de la tierra de Egipto una ruina completa, una desolación, desde Migdol hasta Sevene y hasta la frontera de Etiopía.

11 N ot pass over into it doth a foot of man, Yea, the foot of beast doth not pass into it, Nor is it inhabited forty years.

No pasará por ella pie de hombre, ni pie de animal pasará por ella, ni será habitada por cuarenta años.

12 A nd I have made the land of Egypt a desolation, In the midst of desolate lands, And its cities, in the midst of waste cities, Are a desolation forty years, And I have scattered the Egyptians among nations, And I have dispersed them through lands.

Y haré de la tierra de Egipto una desolación en medio de tierras desoladas; y sus ciudades, en medio de ciudades devastadas, estarán desoladas por cuarenta años. Dispersaré a los Egipcios entre las naciones y los esparciré por las tierras.’”

13 B ut thus said the Lord Jehovah: At the end of forty years I gather the Egyptians Out of the peoples whither they have been scattered,

‘Porque así dice el Señor Dios: “Después de cuarenta años recogeré a los Egipcios de entre los pueblos donde estaban dispersos;

14 A nd I have turned back the captivity of Egypt, And I have brought them back the land of Pathros, to the land of their birth, And they have been there a low kingdom.

y cambiaré la suerte de Egipto y los haré volver a la tierra de Patros, a la tierra de su origen; y allí serán un reino humilde.

15 O f the kingdoms it is lowest, And it lifteth not up itself any more above the nations, And I have made them few, So as not to rule among nations.

Será el más humilde de los reinos y jamás se levantará sobre las naciones. Los empequeñeceré para que no dominen a las naciones.

16 A nd it is no more to the house of Israel for a confidence, Bringing iniquity to remembrance, By their turning after them, And they have known that I the Lord Jehovah.'

Y nunca más será la confianza de la casa de Israel, al recordar la iniquidad de haber vuelto a Egipto. Entonces sabrán que Yo soy el Señor Dios.”’”

17 A nd it cometh to pass, in the twenty and seventh year, in the first, in the first of the month, hath a word of Jehovah been unto me, saying:

En el año veintisiete, el mes primero, el día primero del mes, vino a mí la palabra del Señor:

18 ` Son of man, Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, Hath caused his force to serve a great service against Tyre, Every head bald -- every shoulder peeled, And reward he had none, nor his force, out of Tyre, For the service that he served against it.

“Hijo de hombre, Nabucodonosor, rey de Babilonia, hizo que su ejército realizara una gran campaña contra Tiro; toda cabeza ha quedado calva y toda espalda desollada. Pero él y su ejército no recibieron pago de Tiro por la campaña que había realizado contra ella.”

19 T herefore, thus said the Lord Jehovah, Lo, I am giving to Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon the land of Egypt, And he hath taken away its store, And hath taken its spoil, and taken its prey, And it hath been a reward to his force.

Por tanto, así dice el Señor Dios: “Voy a dar la tierra de Egipto a Nabucodonosor, rey de Babilonia. Se llevará sus riquezas, capturará su botín y tomará su despojo; y esto será la paga para su ejército.

20 H is wage for which he laboured I have given to him, The land of Egypt -- in that they wrought for Me, An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah.

Le he dado la tierra de Egipto por la obra que realizó contra Tiro, porque trabajaron para mí,” declara el Señor Dios.

21 I n that day I cause to shoot up a horn to the house of Israel, And to thee I give an opening of the mouth in their midst, And they have known that I Jehovah!'

“En aquel día haré brotar el poderío de la casa de Israel, y abriré tu boca en medio de ellos. Entonces sabrán que Yo soy el Señor.”
