1 A nd Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,

Habló Jehová a Moisés y le dijo:

2 ` Speak unto the sons of Israel, and take from them each a rod, for a father's house, from all their princes, for the house of their fathers, twelve rods; the name of each thou dost write on his rod,

«Habla a los hijos de Israel, y toma de todos sus príncipes una vara por cada casa paterna: doce varas en total, conforme a las casas de sus padres. Tú escribirás el nombre de cada uno sobre su vara,

3 a nd Aaron's name thou dost write on the tribe of Levi; for one rod for the head of their fathers' house:

y sobre la vara de Leví escribirás el nombre de Aarón, pues cada jefe de familia paterna tendrá una vara.

4 a nd thou hast placed them in the tent of meeting, before the testimony, where I meet with you.

Las pondrás en el Tabernáculo de reunión delante del Testimonio, donde yo me manifestaré a vosotros.

5 ` And it hath come to pass, the man's rod on whom I fix doth flourish, and I have caused to cease from off me the murmurings of the sons of Israel, which they are murmuring against you.'

Florecerá la vara del hombre que yo escoja, y así haré cesar delante de mí las quejas que murmuran los hijos de Israel contra vosotros.»

6 A nd Moses speaketh unto the sons of Israel, and all their princes give unto him one rod for a prince, one rod for a prince, for their fathers' house, twelve rods, and the rod of Aaron in the midst of their rods;

Moisés habló a los hijos de Israel, y todos los príncipes de ellos le dieron varas; cada príncipe una vara en representación de sus casas paternas: en total doce varas. La vara de Aarón estaba entre las varas de ellos.

7 a nd Moses placeth the rods before Jehovah, in the tent of the testimony.

Moisés puso las varas delante de Jehová en el tabernáculo del Testimonio.

8 A nd it cometh to pass, on the morrow, that Moses goeth in unto the tent of the testimony, and lo, the rod of Aaron hath flourished for the house of Levi, and is bringing out flourishing, and doth blossom blossoms, and doth produce almonds;

Y aconteció que al día siguiente fue Moisés al tabernáculo del Testimonio y vio que la vara de Aarón de la casa de Leví había reverdecido, echado flores, arrojado renuevos y producido almendras.

9 a nd Moses bringeth out all the rods from before Jehovah, unto all the sons of Israel, and they look, and take each his rod.

Entonces sacó Moisés todas las varas de delante de Jehová ante todos los hijos de Israel; ellos lo vieron, y tomó cada uno su vara.

10 A nd Jehovah saith unto Moses, `Put back the rod of Aaron, before the testimony, for a charge, for a sign to the sons of rebellion, and thou dost remove their murmurings from off me, and they do not die;'

Y Jehová dijo a Moisés: «Vuelve a colocar la vara de Aarón delante del Testimonio, para que se guarde como señal para los hijos rebeldes. Así harás cesar sus quejas delante de mí, para que no mueran.»

11 a nd Moses doth as Jehovah hath commanded him; so he hath done.

Moisés hizo como le mandó Jehová: así lo hizo.

12 A nd the sons of Israel speak unto Moses, saying, `Lo, we have expired; we have perished; we have all of us perished;

Entonces los hijos de Israel dijeron a Moisés: «¡Nos estamos muriendo! ¡Estamos perdidos! ¡Todos nosotros estamos perdidos!

13 a ny who is at all drawing near unto the tabernacle of Jehovah dieth; have we not been consumed -- to expire?'

Cualquiera que se acerque, el que se llegue al tabernáculo de Jehová, morirá. ¿Acabaremos por perecer todos?»
