1 D are any one of you, having a matter with the other, go to be judged before the unrighteous, and not before the saints?

¿Se atreve alguno de vosotros, cuando tiene algo contra otro, llevar el asunto ante los injustos y no delante de los santos?

2 h ave ye not known that the saints shall judge the world? and if by you the world is judged, are ye unworthy of the smaller judgments?

¿No sabéis que los santos han de juzgar al mundo? Y si el mundo ha de ser juzgado por vosotros, ¿sois indignos de juzgar asuntos tan pequeños?

3 h ave ye not known that we shall judge messengers? why not then the things of life?

¿No sabéis que hemos de juzgar a los ángeles? ¿Cuánto más las cosas de esta vida?

4 o f the things of life, indeed, then, if ye may have judgment, those despised in the assembly -- these cause ye to sit;

Si, pues, tenéis pleitos sobre asuntos de esta vida, ¿por qué ponéis, para juzgar, a los que son de menor estima en la iglesia?

5 u nto your shame I speak: so there is not among you one wise man, not even one, who shall be able to discern in the midst of his brethren!

Para avergonzaros lo digo. Pues qué, ¿no hay entre vosotros ni uno solo que sea sabio para poder juzgar entre sus hermanos?

6 b ut brother with brother doth go to be judged, and this before unbelievers!

Un hermano pleitea contra otro hermano, ¡y lo hace ante los incrédulos!

7 A lready, indeed, then, there is altogether a fault among you, that ye have judgments with one another; wherefore do ye not rather suffer injustice? wherefore be ye not rather defrauded?

Ciertamente, ya es una falta en vosotros que tengáis pleitos entre vosotros mismos. ¿Por qué no sufrís más bien el agravio? ¿Por qué no sufrís más bien el ser defraudados?

8 b ut ye -- ye do injustice, and ye defraud, and these -- brethren!

Pero vosotros cometéis el agravio y defraudáis, ¡y esto a los hermanos!

9 h ave ye not known that the unrighteous the reign of God shall not inherit? be not led astray; neither whoremongers, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor sodomites,

¿No sabéis que los injustos no heredarán el reino de Dios? No os engañéis: ni los fornicarios, ni los idólatras, ni los adúlteros, ni los afeminados, ni los homosexuales,

10 n or thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, the reign of God shall inherit.

ni los ladrones, ni los avaros, ni los borrachos, ni los maldicientes, ni los estafadores, heredarán el reino de Dios.

11 A nd certain of you were these! but ye were washed, but ye were sanctified, but ye were declared righteous, in the name of the Lord Jesus, and in the Spirit of our God.

Y esto erais algunos de vosotros, pero ya habéis sido lavados, ya habéis sido santificados, ya habéis sido justificados en el nombre del Señor Jesús y por el Espíritu de nuestro Dios. Glorificad a Dios en vuestro cuerpo

12 A ll things are lawful to me, but all things are not profitable; all things are lawful to me, but I -- I will not be under authority by any;

Todas las cosas me son lícitas, pero no todas convienen; todas las cosas me son lícitas, pero yo no me dejaré dominar por ninguna.

13 t he meats for the belly, and the belly for the meats. And God both this and these shall make useless; and the body not for whoredom, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body;

Los alimentos son para el vientre, y el vientre para los alimentos; pero tanto al uno como a los otros destruirá Dios. Pero el cuerpo no es para la fornicación, sino para el Señor y el Señor para el cuerpo.

14 a nd God both the Lord did raise, and us will raise up through His power.

Y Dios, que levantó al Señor, también a nosotros nos levantará con su poder.

15 H ave ye not known that your bodies are members of Christ? having taken, then, the members of the Christ, shall I make members of an harlot? let it be not!

¿No sabéis que vuestros cuerpos son miembros de Cristo? ¿Quitaré, pues, los miembros de Cristo y los haré miembros de una ramera? ¡De ninguna manera!

16 h ave ye not known that he who is joined to the harlot is one body? `for they shall be -- saith He -- the two for one flesh.'

¿O no sabéis que el que se une con una ramera, es un cuerpo con ella?, porque ¿no dice la Escritura: «Los dos serán una sola carne»?

17 A nd he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit;

Pero el que se une al Señor, un espíritu es con él.

18 f lee the whoredom; every sin -- whatever a man may commit -- is without the body, and he who is committing whoredom, against his own body doth sin.

Huid de la fornicación. Cualquier otro pecado que el hombre cometa, está fuera del cuerpo; pero el que fornica, contra su propio cuerpo peca.

19 H ave ye not known that your body is a sanctuary of the Holy Spirit in you, which ye have from God? and ye are not your own,

¿O ignoráis que vuestro cuerpo es templo del Espíritu Santo, el cual está en vosotros, el cual habéis recibido de Dios, y que no sois vuestros?,

20 f or ye were bought with a price; glorify, then, God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's.

pues habéis sido comprados por precio; glorificad, pues, a Dios en vuestro cuerpo y en vuestro espíritu, los cuales son de Dios.
