1 A nd this the blessing which Moses the man of God blessed the sons of Israel before his death,

2 a nd he saith: -- `Jehovah from Sinai hath come, And hath risen from Seir for them; He hath shone from mount Paran, And hath come myriads of holy ones; At His right hand springs for them.

Él dijo: «Jehová vino de Sinaí, de Seir los alumbró, resplandeció desde el monte de Parán, avanzó entre diez millares de santos, con la ley de fuego a su mano derecha.

3 A lso He loving the peoples; All His holy ones in thy hand, And they -- they sat down at thy foot, He lifteth up at thy words.

4 A law hath Moses commanded us, A possession of the assembly of Jacob.

5 A nd he is in Jeshurun king, In the heads of the people gathering together, The tribes of Israel!

Y hubo un rey en Jesurún cuando se congregaron los jefes del pueblo con las tribus de Israel.

6 L et Reuben live, and not die, And let his men be a number.

»Viva Rubén, y no muera ni sean pocos sus hombres.»

7 A nd this for Judah; and he saith: -- Hear, O Jehovah, the voice of Judah, And unto his people do Thou bring him in; His hand hath striven for him, And an help from his adversaries art Thou.

Esta bendición profirió para Judá. Dijo así: «Oye, Jehová, la voz de Judá, y llévalo a su pueblo; sus manos le basten, y tú seas su ayuda contra sus enemigos.»

8 A nd of Levi he said: -- Thy Thummim and thy Urim for thy pious one, Whom Thou hast tried in Massah, Thou dost strive with Him at the waters of Meribah;

Para Leví dijo: «Tu Tumim y tu Urim sean para el varón piadoso a quien probaste en Masah, con quien contendiste en las aguas de Meriba,

9 W ho is saying of his father and his mother, I have not seen him; And his brethren he hath not discerned, And his sons he hath not known; For they have observed Thy saying, And Thy covenant they keep.

quien dijo de su padre y de su madre: “Nunca los he visto”; quien no reconoció a sus hermanos, ni a sus hijos conoció. Pues ellos guardaron tus palabras y cumplieron tu pacto.

10 T hey teach Thy judgments to Jacob, And Thy law to Israel; They put perfume in Thy nose, And whole burnt-offering on Thine altar.

Ellos enseñarán tus juicios a Jacob y tu Ley a Israel. Pondrán el incienso delante de ti y el holocausto sobre tu altar.

11 B less, O Jehovah, his strength, And the work of his hands Thou acceptest, Smite the loins of his withstanders, And of those hating him -- that they rise not!

Bendice, Jehová, lo que hagan y recibe con agrado la obra de sus manos. Hiere los lomos de sus enemigos y de quienes lo aborrezcan, para que nunca se levanten.»

12 O f Benjamin he said: -- The beloved of Jehovah doth tabernacle confidently by him, Covering him over all the day; Yea, between his shoulders He doth tabernacle.

Para Benjamín dijo: «El amado de Jehová habitará confiado cerca de él; lo cubrirá siempre, y entre sus hombros morará.»

13 A nd of Joseph he said: -- Blessed of Jehovah his land, By precious things of the heavens, By dew, and by the deep crouching beneath,

Para José dijo: «Bendita de Jehová sea tu tierra, con lo mejor de los cielos, con el rocío y con el abismo que está abajo.

14 A nd by precious things -- fruits of the sun, And by precious things -- cast forth by the moons,

Con los más escogidos frutos del sol, con el rico producto de la luna,

15 A nd by chief things -- of the ancient mountains, And by precious things -- of the age-during heights,

con el fruto más fino de los montes antiguos, con la abundancia de los collados eternos,

16 A nd by precious things -- of earth and its fulness, And the good pleasure Of Him who is dwelling in the bush, -- Let it come for the head of Joseph, And for the crown of him Who is separate from his brethren.

con las mejores dádivas de la tierra y su plenitud y la gracia del que habitó en la zarza, venga sobre la cabeza de José y sobre la frente de aquel que es príncipe entre sus hermanos.

17 H is honour a firstling of his ox, And his horns horns of a reem; By them peoples he doth push together To the ends of earth; And they the myriads of Ephraim, And they the thousands of Manasseh.

Como el primogénito de su toro es su gloria; sus cuernos, como cuernos de búfalo. Con ellos corneará a todos los pueblos hasta los confines de la tierra. ellos son los diez millares de Efraín, y ellos son los millares de Manasés.»

18 A nd of Zebulun he said: -- Rejoice, O Zebulun, in thy going out, And, O Issachar, in thy tents;

19 P eoples the mountain they call, There they sacrifice righteous sacrifices; For the abundance of the seas they suck, And hidden things hidden in the sand.

20 A nd of Gad he said: -- Blessed of the Enlarger Gad, As a lioness he doth tabernacle, And hath torn the arm -- also the crown!

Para Gad dijo: «¡Bendito el que hizo ensanchar a Gad! Como león reposa, y arrebata brazo y testa.

21 A nd he provideth the first part for himself, For there the portion of the lawgiver is covered, And he cometh the heads of the people; The righteousness of Jehovah he hath done, And His judgments with Israel.

Escoge lo mejor de la tierra para sí, porque allí le fue reservada la porción del legislador. Vino en la delantera del pueblo; con Israel ejecutó los mandatos y los justos decretos de Jehová.»

22 A nd of Dan he said: -- Dan a lion's whelp; he doth leap from Bashan.

Para Dan dijo: «Dan es cachorro de león que salta desde Basán.»

23 A nd of Naphtali he said: -- O Naphtali, satisfied with pleasure, And full of the blessing of Jehovah, West and south possess thou.

Para Neftalí dijo: «Neftalí, saciado de favores, lleno de la bendición de Jehová, posee el occidente y el sur.»

24 A nd of Asher he said: -- Blessed with sons Asher, Let him be accepted by his brethren, And dipping in oil his foot.

Para Aser dijo: «¡Bendito entre los hijos sea Aser! Sea el amado de sus hermanos y moje en aceite su pie.

25 I ron and brass thy shoes, And as thy days -- thy strength.

Hierro y bronce serán tus cerrojos, y como tus días serán tus fuerzas.

26 T here is none like the God of Jeshurun, Riding the heavens in thy help, And in His excellency the skies.

»No hay como el Dios de Jesurún, quien cabalga sobre los cielos para tu ayuda, y sobre las nubes con su grandeza.

27 A habitation the eternal God, And beneath arms age-during. And He casteth out from thy presence the enemy, and saith, `Destroy!'

El eterno Dios es tu refugio y sus brazos eternos son tu apoyo. Él echó al enemigo delante de ti, y dijo: “¡Destruye!”

28 A nd Israel doth tabernacle confidence alone; The eye of Jacob unto a land of corn and wine; Also His heavens drop down dew.

29 O thy happiness, O Israel! who is like thee? A people saved by Jehovah, The shield of thy help, And He who the sword of thine excellency: And thine enemies are subdued for thee, And thou on their high places dost tread.'

¡Bienaventurado tú, Israel! ¿Quién como tú, pueblo salvado por Jehová? Él es tu escudo protector, la espada de tu triunfo. Así que tus enemigos serán humillados, y tú pisotearás sus lugares altos.»
