1 A nd God blesseth Noah, and his sons, and saith to them, `Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the earth;

Bendijo Dios a Noé y a sus hijos, y les dijo: «Fructificad, multiplicaos y llenad la tierra.

2 a nd your fear and your dread is on every beast of the earth, and on every fowl of the heavens, on all that creepeth on the ground, and on all fishes of the sea -- into your hand they have been given.

Infundiréis temor y miedo a todo animal sobre la tierra, a toda ave de los cielos, a todo lo que se mueva sobre la tierra y a todos los peces del mar; en vuestras manos son entregados.

3 E very creeping thing that is alive, to you it is for food; as the green herb I have given to you the whole;

Todo lo que se mueve y vive os servirá de alimento, lo mismo que las legumbres y las plantas verdes. Os lo he dado todo.

4 o nly flesh in its life -- its blood -- ye do not eat.

Pero carne con su vida, que es su sangre, no comeréis,

5 ` And only your blood for your lives do I require; from the hand of every living thing I require it, and from the hand of man, from the hand of every man's brother I require the life of man;

porque ciertamente demandaré la sangre de vuestras vidas; de manos de todo animal la demandaré, y de manos del hombre. A cada hombre demandaré la vida de su prójimo.

6 w hoso sheddeth man's blood, by man is his blood shed: for in the image of God hath He made man.

»El que derrame la sangre de un hombre, por otro hombre su sangre será derramada, porque a imagen de Dios es hecho el hombre.

7 A nd ye, be fruitful and multiply, teem in the earth, and multiply in it.'

Mas vosotros fructificad y multiplicaos, procread abundantemente en la tierra y multiplicaos en ella.»

8 A nd God speaketh unto Noah, and unto his sons with him, saying,

También dijo Dios a Noé y a sus hijos:

9 ` And I, lo, I am establishing My covenant with you, and with your seed after you,

«Yo establezco mi pacto con vosotros, y con vuestros descendientes después de vosotros;

10 a nd with every living creature which with you, among fowl, among cattle, and among every beast of the earth with you, from all who are going out of the ark -- to every beast of the earth.

con todo ser viviente que está con vosotros: aves, animales y toda bestia de la tierra que está con vosotros, desde todos los que salieron del arca hasta todo animal de la tierra.

11 A nd I have established My covenant with you, and all flesh is not any more cut off by waters of a deluge, and there is not any more a deluge to destroy the earth.'

Estableceré mi pacto con vosotros, y no volveré a exterminar a todos los seres vivos con aguas de diluvio, ni habrá más diluvio para destruir la tierra.»

12 A nd God saith, `This is a token of the covenant which I am giving between Me and you, and every living creature that with you, to generations age-during;

Asimismo dijo Dios: «Ésta es la señal del pacto que yo establezco a perpetuidad con vosotros y con todo ser viviente que está con vosotros:

13 M y bow I have given in the cloud, and it hath been for a token of a covenant between Me and the earth;

Mi arco he puesto en las nubes, el cual será por señal de mi pacto con la tierra.

14 a nd it hath come to pass (in My sending a cloud over the earth) that the bow hath been seen in the cloud,

Y sucederá que cuando haga venir nubes sobre la tierra, se dejará ver mi arco en las nubes.

15 a nd I have remembered My covenant which is between Me and you, and every living creature among all flesh, and the waters become no more a deluge to destroy all flesh;

Y entonces me acordaré de mi pacto con vosotros y todo ser viviente de toda especie; y no habrá más diluvio de aguas para destruir todo ser vivo.

16 a nd the bow hath been in the cloud, and I have seen it -- to remember the covenant age-during between God and every living creature among all flesh which on the earth.'

Estará el arco en las nubes; lo veré y me acordaré del pacto perpetuo entre Dios y todo ser viviente, con todo lo que tiene vida sobre la tierra.»

17 A nd God saith unto Noah, `This a token of the covenant which I have established between Me and all flesh that upon the earth.'

Dijo, pues, Dios a Noé: «Ésta es la señal del pacto que he establecido entre mí y todo lo que tiene vida sobre la tierra.» Embriaguez de Noé

18 A nd the sons of Noah who are going out of the ark are Shem, and Ham, and Japheth; and Ham is father of Canaan.

Los hijos de Noé que salieron del arca fueron Sem, Cam y Jafet. Cam es el padre de Canaán.

19 T hese three sons of Noah, and from these hath all the earth been overspread.

Estos tres fueron los hijos de Noé, y de ellos se pobló toda la tierra.

20 A nd Noah remaineth a man of the ground, and planteth a vineyard,

Después comenzó Noé a labrar la tierra y plantó una viña.

21 a nd drinketh of the wine, and is drunken, and uncovereth himself in the midst of the tent.

Bebió el vino, se embriagó y se desnudó en medio de su tienda.

22 A nd Ham, father of Canaan, seeth the nakedness of his father, and declareth to his two brethren without.

Cam, padre de Canaán, vio la desnudez de su padre y lo dijo a sus dos hermanos que estaban fuera.

23 A nd Shem taketh -- Japheth also -- the garment, and they place on the shoulder of them both, and go backward, and cover the nakedness of their father; and their faces backward, and their father's nakedness they have not seen.

Entonces Sem y Jafet tomaron la ropa, la pusieron sobre sus propios hombros, y andando hacia atrás cubrieron la desnudez de su padre. Al tener vueltos sus rostros, no vieron la desnudez de su padre.

24 A nd Noah awaketh from his wine, and knoweth that which his young son hath done to him,

Cuando despertó Noé de su embriaguez y supo lo que le había hecho su hijo más joven,

25 a nd saith: `Cursed Canaan, Servant of servants he is to his brethren.'

dijo: «¡Maldito sea Canaán! ¡Siervo de siervos será a sus hermanos!»

26 A nd he saith: `Blessed of Jehovah my God Shem, And Canaan is servant to him.

Y añadió: «¡Bendiga Jehová, mi Dios, a Sem y sea Canaán su siervo!

27 G od doth give beauty to Japheth, And he dwelleth in tents of Shem, And Canaan is servant to him.'

¡Engrandezca Dios a Jafet, que habite en las tiendas de Sem y sea Canaán su siervo!»

28 A nd Noah liveth after the deluge three hundred and fifty years;

Después del diluvio, Noé vivió trescientos cincuenta años.

29 a nd all the days of Noah are nine hundred and fifty years, and he dieth.

Todos los días de Noé fueron novecientos cincuenta años, y murió.
