1 B endijo Dios a Noé y a sus hijos, y les dijo: «Fructificad, multiplicaos y llenad la tierra.

And God blesseth Noah, and his sons, and saith to them, `Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the earth;

2 I nfundiréis temor y miedo a todo animal sobre la tierra, a toda ave de los cielos, a todo lo que se mueva sobre la tierra y a todos los peces del mar; en vuestras manos son entregados.

and your fear and your dread is on every beast of the earth, and on every fowl of the heavens, on all that creepeth on the ground, and on all fishes of the sea -- into your hand they have been given.

3 T odo lo que se mueve y vive os servirá de alimento, lo mismo que las legumbres y las plantas verdes. Os lo he dado todo.

Every creeping thing that is alive, to you it is for food; as the green herb I have given to you the whole;

4 P ero carne con su vida, que es su sangre, no comeréis,

only flesh in its life -- its blood -- ye do not eat.

5 p orque ciertamente demandaré la sangre de vuestras vidas; de manos de todo animal la demandaré, y de manos del hombre. A cada hombre demandaré la vida de su prójimo.

`And only your blood for your lives do I require; from the hand of every living thing I require it, and from the hand of man, from the hand of every man's brother I require the life of man;

6 » El que derrame la sangre de un hombre, por otro hombre su sangre será derramada, porque a imagen de Dios es hecho el hombre.

whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man is his blood shed: for in the image of God hath He made man.

7 M as vosotros fructificad y multiplicaos, procread abundantemente en la tierra y multiplicaos en ella.»

And ye, be fruitful and multiply, teem in the earth, and multiply in it.'

8 T ambién dijo Dios a Noé y a sus hijos:

And God speaketh unto Noah, and unto his sons with him, saying,

9 « Yo establezco mi pacto con vosotros, y con vuestros descendientes después de vosotros;

`And I, lo, I am establishing My covenant with you, and with your seed after you,

10 c on todo ser viviente que está con vosotros: aves, animales y toda bestia de la tierra que está con vosotros, desde todos los que salieron del arca hasta todo animal de la tierra.

and with every living creature which with you, among fowl, among cattle, and among every beast of the earth with you, from all who are going out of the ark -- to every beast of the earth.

11 E stableceré mi pacto con vosotros, y no volveré a exterminar a todos los seres vivos con aguas de diluvio, ni habrá más diluvio para destruir la tierra.»

And I have established My covenant with you, and all flesh is not any more cut off by waters of a deluge, and there is not any more a deluge to destroy the earth.'

12 A simismo dijo Dios: «Ésta es la señal del pacto que yo establezco a perpetuidad con vosotros y con todo ser viviente que está con vosotros:

And God saith, `This is a token of the covenant which I am giving between Me and you, and every living creature that with you, to generations age-during;

13 M i arco he puesto en las nubes, el cual será por señal de mi pacto con la tierra.

My bow I have given in the cloud, and it hath been for a token of a covenant between Me and the earth;

14 Y sucederá que cuando haga venir nubes sobre la tierra, se dejará ver mi arco en las nubes.

and it hath come to pass (in My sending a cloud over the earth) that the bow hath been seen in the cloud,

15 Y entonces me acordaré de mi pacto con vosotros y todo ser viviente de toda especie; y no habrá más diluvio de aguas para destruir todo ser vivo.

and I have remembered My covenant which is between Me and you, and every living creature among all flesh, and the waters become no more a deluge to destroy all flesh;

16 E stará el arco en las nubes; lo veré y me acordaré del pacto perpetuo entre Dios y todo ser viviente, con todo lo que tiene vida sobre la tierra.»

and the bow hath been in the cloud, and I have seen it -- to remember the covenant age-during between God and every living creature among all flesh which on the earth.'

17 D ijo, pues, Dios a Noé: «Ésta es la señal del pacto que he establecido entre mí y todo lo que tiene vida sobre la tierra.» Embriaguez de Noé

And God saith unto Noah, `This a token of the covenant which I have established between Me and all flesh that upon the earth.'

18 L os hijos de Noé que salieron del arca fueron Sem, Cam y Jafet. Cam es el padre de Canaán.

And the sons of Noah who are going out of the ark are Shem, and Ham, and Japheth; and Ham is father of Canaan.

19 E stos tres fueron los hijos de Noé, y de ellos se pobló toda la tierra.

These three sons of Noah, and from these hath all the earth been overspread.

20 D espués comenzó Noé a labrar la tierra y plantó una viña.

And Noah remaineth a man of the ground, and planteth a vineyard,

21 B ebió el vino, se embriagó y se desnudó en medio de su tienda.

and drinketh of the wine, and is drunken, and uncovereth himself in the midst of the tent.

22 C am, padre de Canaán, vio la desnudez de su padre y lo dijo a sus dos hermanos que estaban fuera.

And Ham, father of Canaan, seeth the nakedness of his father, and declareth to his two brethren without.

23 E ntonces Sem y Jafet tomaron la ropa, la pusieron sobre sus propios hombros, y andando hacia atrás cubrieron la desnudez de su padre. Al tener vueltos sus rostros, no vieron la desnudez de su padre.

And Shem taketh -- Japheth also -- the garment, and they place on the shoulder of them both, and go backward, and cover the nakedness of their father; and their faces backward, and their father's nakedness they have not seen.

24 C uando despertó Noé de su embriaguez y supo lo que le había hecho su hijo más joven,

And Noah awaketh from his wine, and knoweth that which his young son hath done to him,

25 d ijo: «¡Maldito sea Canaán! ¡Siervo de siervos será a sus hermanos!»

and saith: `Cursed Canaan, Servant of servants he is to his brethren.'

26 Y añadió: «¡Bendiga Jehová, mi Dios, a Sem y sea Canaán su siervo!

And he saith: `Blessed of Jehovah my God Shem, And Canaan is servant to him.

27 ¡ Engrandezca Dios a Jafet, que habite en las tiendas de Sem y sea Canaán su siervo!»

God doth give beauty to Japheth, And he dwelleth in tents of Shem, And Canaan is servant to him.'

28 D espués del diluvio, Noé vivió trescientos cincuenta años.

And Noah liveth after the deluge three hundred and fifty years;

29 T odos los días de Noé fueron novecientos cincuenta años, y murió.

and all the days of Noah are nine hundred and fifty years, and he dieth.
