Also, at this my heart trembleth, And it moveth from its place.

2 O íd atentamente el fragor de su voz, el estruendo que sale de su boca.

Hearken diligently to the trembling of His voice, Yea, the sound from His mouth goeth forth.

3 P or debajo de todos los cielos lo dirige, y su luz alcanza los confines de la tierra.

Under the whole heavens He directeth it, And its light over the skirts of the earth.

4 D espués de ella suena un bramido: truena él con voz majestuosa. Se oye el trueno, y no lo detiene.

After it roar doth a voice -- He thundereth with the voice of His excellency, And He doth not hold them back, When His voice is heard.

5 T ruena Dios maravillosamente con su voz. Hace grandes cosas, que nosotros no entendemos.

God thundereth with His voice wonderfully, Doing great things and we know not.

6 P orque le dice a la nieve: “¡Cae sobre la tierra!”, y también a la llovizna y a los aguaceros torrenciales.

For to snow He saith, `Be the earth.' And the small rain and great rain of His power.

7 A sí hace que el hombre se retire, para que todos los mortales reconozcan su obra.

Into the hand of every man he sealeth, For the knowledge by all men of His work.

8 L as fieras entran en sus guaridas y permanecen en sus moradas.

And enter doth the beast into covert, And in its habitations it doth continue.

9 D el sur viene el torbellino, y el frío, de los vientos del norte.

From the inner chamber cometh a hurricane, And from scatterings winds -- cold,

10 P or el soplo de Dios llega el hielo y la extensión de las aguas se congela.

From the breath of God is frost given, And the breadth of waters is straitened,

11 É l llena de humedad la densa nube; y con la luz desvanece la niebla.

Yea, by filling He doth press out a cloud, Scatter a cloud doth His light.

12 A simismo, conforme a sus designios, las nubes giran en derredor, para hacer sobre la faz del mundo, en la tierra, lo que él les mande.

And it is turning itself round by His counsels, For their doing all He commandeth them, On the face of the habitable earth.

13 É l las hará venir, unas veces como castigo, otras a causa de la tierra y otras por misericordia.

Whether for a rod, or for His land, Or for kindness -- He doth cause it to come.

14 » Escucha esto, Job; detente y considera las maravillas de Dios.

Hear this, O Job, Stand and consider the wonders of God.

15 ¿ Sabes tú cómo Dios las pone en concierto y hace resplandecer la luz de su nube?

Dost thou know when God doth place them, And caused to shine the light of His cloud?

16 ¿ Has conocido tú las diferencias de las nubes, las maravillas del que es perfecto en sabiduría?

Dost thou know the balancings of a cloud? The wonders of the Perfect in knowledge?

17 ¿ Por qué están calientes tus vestidos cuando él sosiega la tierra con el viento del sur?

How thy garments warm, In the quieting of the earth from the south?

18 ¿ Extendiste tú con él los cielos, firmes como un espejo fundido?

Thou hast made an expanse with Him For the clouds -- strong as a hard mirror!

19 M uéstranos qué le hemos de decir, porque nosotros no podemos ordenar las ideas a causa de la oscuridad.

Let us know what we say to Him, We set not in array because of darkness.

20 ¿ Precisa él que le cuenten lo que yo digo, o que le informen de lo que dice el hombre?

Is it declared to Him that I speak? If a man hath spoken, surely he is swallowed up.

21 » Ahora no se puede mirar la luz resplandeciente de los cielos, pero luego que pasa el viento y los limpia,

And now, they have not seen the light, Bright it in the clouds, And the wind hath passed by and cleanseth them.

22 l lega de la parte del norte la dorada claridad: ¡la terrible majestad que hay en Dios!

From the golden north it cometh, Beside God fearful honour.

23 É l es el Todopoderoso, grande en poder, al cual no alcanzamos, que a nadie oprime en juicio y en su gran justicia.

The Mighty! we have not found Him out, High in power and judgment, He doth not answer! And abundant in righteousness,

24 L o temen por tanto los hombres, pero él no estima a ninguno que en su propio corazón se cree sabio.»

Therefore do men fear Him, He seeth not any of the wise of heart.
