1 » Volvimos, pues, y subimos camino de Basán. Entonces Og, rey de Basán, nos salió al encuentro con todo su pueblo para pelear en Edrei.

`And we turn, and go up the way to Bashan, and Og king of Bashan cometh out to meet us, he and all his people, to battle, Edrei.

2 » Pero me dijo Jehová: “No tengas temor de él, porque en tus manos lo he entregado junto con todo su pueblo y su tierra. Harás con él como hiciste con Sehón, el rey amorreo que habitaba en Hesbón.”

`And Jehovah saith unto me, Fear him not, for into thy hand I have given him, and all his people, and his land, and thou hast done to him as thou hast done to Sihon king of the Amorite who is dwelling in Heshbon.

3 » Jehová, nuestro Dios, entregó también en nuestras manos a Og, rey de Basán, y a todo su pueblo, al cual derrotamos hasta acabar con todos.

`And Jehovah our God giveth into our hands also Og king of Bashan, and all his people, and we smite him till there hath not been left to him a remnant;

4 T omamos entonces todas sus ciudades. No quedó ciudad que no les tomáramos: sesenta ciudades, toda la tierra de Argob, del reino de Og en Basán.

and we capture all his cities at that time, there hath not been a city which we have not taken from them, sixty cities, all the region of Argob, the kingdom of Og in Bashan.

5 T odas estas eran ciudades fortificadas con muros altos, con puertas y barras, sin contar otras muchas ciudades sin muro.

All these cities fenced with high walls, two-leaved doors and bar, apart from cities of villages very many;

6 Y las destinamos al exterminio, como hicimos a Sehón, rey de Hesbón, matando en cada ciudad a hombres, mujeres y niños.

and we devote them, as we have done to Sihon king of Heshbon, devoting every city, men, the women, and the infants;

7 P ero nos quedamos con todo el ganado y los despojos de las ciudades.

and all the cattle, and the spoil of the cities, we have spoiled for ourselves.

8 » También tomamos en aquel tiempo la tierra desde el arroyo Arnón hasta el monte Hermón de manos de los dos reyes amorreos que estaban a este lado del Jordán

`And we take, at that time, the land out of the hand of the two kings of the Amorite, which is beyond the Jordan, from the brook Arnon unto mount Hermon;

9 ( los sidonios llaman a Hermón, Sirión, y los amorreos, Senir):

(Sidonians call Hermon, Sirion; and the Amorites call it Senir,)

10 t odas las ciudades de la llanura, todo Galaad y todo Basán, hasta Salca y Edrei, ciudades del reino de Og en Basán.

all the cities of the plain, and all Gilead, and all Bashan, unto Salchah and Edrei, cities of the kingdom of Og in Bashan,

11 O g, el rey de Basán, era el único que quedaba de los gigantes. Su cama, una cama de hierro, ¿no está en Rabá de los hijos de Amón? Nueve codos mide de largo y cuatro codos de ancho, según el codo de un hombre. Rubén, Gad y la media tribu de Manasés se establecen al oriente del Jordán

for only Og king of Bashan had been left of the remnant of the Rephaim; lo, his bedstead a bedstead of iron; is it not in Rabbath of the sons of Ammon? nine cubits its length, and four cubits its breadth, by the cubit of a man.

12 » Esta tierra que heredamos en aquel tiempo, desde Aroer, que está junto al arroyo Arnón, hasta la mitad de los montes de Galaad con sus ciudades, la di a los rubenitas y a los gaditas.

`And this land we have possessed, at that time; from Aroer, which by the brook Arnon, and the half of mount Gilead, and its cities, I have given to the Reubenite, and to the Gadite;

13 E l resto de Galaad y todo Basán, del reino de Og: toda la tierra de Argob, que se llamaba la tierra de los gigantes, lo di a la media tribu de Manasés.

and the rest of Gilead and all Bashan, the kingdom of Og, I have given to the half tribe of Manasseh; all the region of Argob, to all that Bashan, called the land of Rephaim.

14 J air hijo de Manasés tomó toda la tierra de Argob hasta el límite con Gesur y Maaca, y le puso el nombre que aún conserva: Basán-havot-jair.

`Jair son of Manasseh hath taken all the region of Argob, unto the border of Geshuri, and Maachathi, and calleth them by his own name, Bashan-Havoth-Jair, unto this day.

15 G alaad se lo di a Maquir.

And to Machir I have given Gilead.

16 A los rubenitas y gaditas les di desde Galaad hasta el arroyo Arnón —con la mitad del valle como límite—, y hasta el arroyo Jaboc, el cual sirve de límite a los hijos de Amón;

`And to the Reubenite and to the Gadite I have given from Gilead even unto the brook Arnon, the middle of the valley and the border, even unto Jabbok the brook, the border of the sons of Ammon,

17 y también el Arabá, con el Jordán como límite desde Cineret hasta el mar del Arabá, el Mar Salado, al pie de las laderas del Pisga, al oriente.

and the plain, and the Jordan, and the border, from Chinnereth even unto the sea of the plain, the salt sea, under the springs of Pisgah, at the -rising.

18 » Entonces os dije: “Jehová, vuestro Dios, os ha dado esta tierra como heredad; pero iréis armados todos los valientes delante de vuestros hermanos, los hijos de Israel.

`And I command you, at that time, saying, Jehovah your God hath given to you this land to possess it; armed ye pass over before your brethren the sons of Israel, all the sons of might.

19 S olamente vuestras mujeres, vuestros hijos y vuestros ganados (yo sé que tenéis mucho ganado), quedarán en las ciudades que os he dado,

Only, your wives, and your infants, and your cattle -- I have known that ye have much cattle -- do dwell in your cities which I have given to you,

20 h asta que Jehová dé reposo a vuestros hermanos, así como a vosotros, y hereden ellos también la tierra que Jehová, vuestro Dios, les da al otro lado del Jordán. Entonces os volveréis cada uno a la heredad que yo os he dado.”

till that Jehovah give rest to your brethren like yourselves, and they also have possessed the land which Jehovah your God is giving to them beyond the Jordan, then ye have turned back each to his possession, which I have given to you.

21 » Ordené también a Josué en aquel tiempo: “Tus ojos vieron todo lo que Jehová, vuestro Dios, ha hecho a aquellos dos reyes; así hará Jehová a todos los reinos por donde tú pasarás.

`And Jehoshua I have commanded at that time, saying, Thine eyes are seeing all that which Jehovah your God hath done to these two kings -- so doth Jehovah to all the kingdoms whither thou are passing over;

22 N o los temáis, porque Jehová, vuestro Dios, es el que pelea por vosotros.” Moisés no entrará en Canaán

fear them not, for Jehovah your God, He is fighting for you.

23 » En aquel tiempo oré a Jehová y le dije:

`And I entreat for grace unto Jehovah, at that time, saying,

24 “ Señor Jehová, tú has comenzado a mostrar a tu siervo tu grandeza y tu mano poderosa; porque ¿qué dios hay en el cielo o en la tierra que haga obras y proezas como las tuyas?

Lord Jehovah, Thou -- Thou hast begun to shew Thy servant Thy greatness, and Thy strong hand; for who a God in the heavens or in earth who doth according to Thy works, and according to Thy might?

25 P ase yo, te ruego, y vea aquella tierra buena que está más allá del Jordán, aquel buen monte y el Líbano”.

Let me pass over, I pray Thee, and see the good land which beyond the Jordan, this good hill-country, and Lebanon.

26 P ero Jehová se había enojado contra mí a causa de vosotros, por lo cual no me escuchó, sino que me dijo: “¡Basta!, no me hables más de este asunto.

`And Jehovah sheweth himself wroth with me, for your sake, and hath not hearkened unto me, and Jehovah saith unto me, Enough for thee; add not to speak unto Me any more about this thing:

27 S ube a la cumbre del Pisga y alza tus ojos hacia el oeste, el norte, el sur y el este, y mira con tus propios ojos, porque no pasarás el Jordán.

go up the top of Pisgah, and lift up thine eyes westward, and northward, and southward, and eastward, and see with thine eyes -- for thou dost not pass over this Jordan;

28 I nstruye a Josué, anímalo y fortalécelo, porque él ha de pasar delante de este pueblo, y él les entregará la tierra que verás.”

and charge Jehoshua, and strengthen him, and harden him, for he doth pass over before this people, and he doth cause them to inherit the land which thou seest.

29 » Y nos quedamos en el valle, enfrente de Bet-peor.

`And we dwell in a valley over-against Beth-Peor.
