1 S alió Israel con todo lo que tenía. Cuando llegó a Beerseba ofreció sacrificios al Dios de su padre Isaac.

And Israel journeyeth, and all that he hath, and cometh in to Beer-Sheba, and sacrificeth sacrifices to the God of his father Isaac;

2 Y habló Dios a Israel en visiones de noche, y dijo: —Jacob, Jacob. Él respondió: —Aquí estoy.

and God speaketh to Israel in visions of the night, and saith, `Jacob, Jacob;' and he saith, `Here I.'

3 E ntonces Dios dijo: —Yo soy Dios, el Dios de tu padre; no temas descender a Egipto, porque allí haré de ti una gran nación.

And He saith, `I God, God of thy father, be not afraid of going down to Egypt, for for a great nation I set thee there;

4 Y o descenderé contigo a Egipto, y yo también te haré volver; y la mano de José cerrará tus ojos.

I -- I go down with thee to Egypt, and I -- I also certainly bring thee up, and Joseph doth put his hand on thine eyes.'

5 J acob salió de Beerseba; y subieron los hijos de Israel a su padre Jacob, a sus niños y a sus mujeres en los carros que el faraón había enviado para llevarlo.

And Jacob riseth from Beer-Sheba, and the sons of Israel bear away Jacob their father, And their infants, and their wives, in the waggons which Pharaoh hath sent to bear him,

6 T ambién tomaron sus ganados y los bienes que habían adquirido en la tierra de Canaán, y fueron a Egipto Jacob y toda su descendencia consigo:

and they take their cattle, and their goods which they have acquired in the land of Canaan, and come into Egypt -- Jacob, and all his seed with him,

7 s us hijos y los hijos de sus hijos; y sus hijas y las hijas de sus hijos. A toda su descendencia llevó consigo a Egipto.

his sons, and his sons' sons with him, his daughters, and his sons' daughters, yea, all his seed he brought with him into Egypt.

8 É stos son los nombres de los hijos de Israel que entraron en Egipto, Jacob y sus hijos: Rubén, primogénito de Jacob.

And these the names of the sons of Israel who are coming into Egypt: Jacob and his sons, Jacob's first-born, Reuben.

9 Y los hijos de Rubén: Hanoc, Falú, Hezrón y Carmi.

And sons of Reuben: Hanoch, and Phallu, and Hezron, and Carmi.

10 L os hijos de Simeón: Jemuel, Jamín, Ohad, Jaquín, Zohar y Saúl, hijo de la cananea.

And sons of Simeon: Jemuel, and Jamin, and Ohad, and Jachin, and Zohar, and Shaul son of the Canaanitess.

11 L os hijos de Leví: Gersón, Coat y Merari.

And sons of Levi: Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.

12 L os hijos de Judá: Er, Onán, Sela, Fares y Zara; pero Er y Onán murieron en la tierra de Canaán. Y los hijos de Fares fueron Hezrón y Hamul.

And sons of Judah: Er, and Onan, and Shelah, and Pharez, and Zarah, (and Er and Onan die in the land of Canaan.) And sons of Pharez are Hezron and Hamul.

13 L os hijos de Isacar: Tola, Fúa, Job y Simrón.

And sons of Issachar: Tola, and Phuvah, and Job, and Shimron.

14 L os hijos de Zabulón: Sered, Elón y Jahleel.

And sons of Zebulun: Sered, and Elon, and Jahleel.

15 É stos fueron los hijos de Lea, los que dio a luz a Jacob en Padan-aram, y además su hija Dina; treinta y tres las personas todas de sus hijos e hijas.

These sons of Leah whom she bare to Jacob in Padan-Aram, and Dinah his daughter; all the persons of his sons and his daughters thirty and three.

16 L os hijos de Gad: Zifión, Hagui, Ezbón, Suni, Eri, Arodi y Areli.

And sons of Gad: Ziphion, and Haggi, Shuni, and Ezbon, Eri, and Arodi, and Areli.

17 L os hijos de Aser: Imna, Isúa, Isúi, Bería y Sera, hermana de ellos. Los hijos de Bería: Heber y Malquiel.

And sons of Asher: Jimnah, and Ishuah, and Isui, and Beriah, and Serah their sister. And sons of Beriah: Heber and Malchiel.

18 É stos fueron los hijos de Zilpa, la esclava que Labán regaló a su hija Lea, le dio a luz a Jacob; en total dieciséis personas.

These sons of Zilpah, whom Laban gave to Leah his daughter, and she beareth these to Jacob -- sixteen persons.

19 L os hijos de Raquel, mujer de Jacob: José y Benjamín.

Sons of Rachel, Jacob's wife: Joseph and Benjamin.

20 A José le nacieron en la tierra de Egipto Manasés y Efraín, los que le dio a luz Asenat, hija de Potifera, sacerdote de On.

And born to Joseph in the land of Egypt (whom Asenath daughter of Poti-Pherah, priest of On, hath borne to him) Manasseh and Ephraim.

21 L os hijos de Benjamín fueron Bela, Bequer, Asbel, Gera, Naamán, Ehi, Ros, Mupim, Hupim y Ard.

And sons of Benjamin: Belah, and Becher, and Ashbel, Gera, and Naaman, Ehi, and Rosh, Muppim, and Huppim, and Ard.

22 É stos fueron los hijos de Raquel, que nacieron a Jacob; en total catorce personas.

These sons of Rachel, who were born to Jacob; all the persons fourteen.

23 L os hijos de Dan: Husim.

And sons of Dan: Hushim.

24 L os hijos de Neftalí: Jahzeel, Guni, Jezer y Silem.

And sons of Naphtali: Jahzeel, and Guni, and Jezer, and Shillem.

25 É stos fueron los hijos que Bilha, la que dio Labán a Raquel, su hija, dio a luz de Jacob; en total siete personas.

These sons of Bilhah, whom Laban gave to Rachel his daughter; and she beareth these to Jacob -- all the persons seven.

26 T odas las personas que llegaron con Jacob a Egipto, nacidas de él, sin contar las mujeres de los hijos de Jacob, todas ellas fueron sesenta y seis.

All the persons who are coming to Jacob to Egypt, coming out of his thigh, apart from the wives of Jacob's sons, all the persons sixty and six.

27 Y los hijos de José, que le nacieron en Egipto, dos personas. Todas las personas de la casa de Jacob que entraron en Egipto fueron setenta.

And the sons of Joseph who have been born to him in Egypt two persons. All the persons of the house of Jacob who are coming into Egypt seventy.

28 E nvió Jacob a Judá delante de sí a José, para que lo viniera a ver en Gosén; y llegaron a la tierra de Gosén.

And Judah he hath sent before him unto Joseph, to direct before him to Goshen, and they come into the land of Goshen;

29 J osé unció su carro y fue a recibir a Israel, su padre, en Gosén. Al verlo, se echó sobre su cuello, y sobre su cuello lloró largamente.

and Joseph harnesseth his chariot, and goeth up to meet Israel his father, to Goshen, and appeareth unto him, and falleth on his neck, and weepeth on his neck again;

30 E ntonces Israel dijo a José: —Muera yo ahora, ya que he visto tu rostro y sé que aún vives.

and Israel saith unto Joseph, `Let me die this time, after my seeing thy face, for thou yet alive.'

31 L uego José dijo a sus hermanos y a la casa de su padre: —Subiré y lo haré saber al faraón; le diré: “Mis hermanos y la casa de mi padre, que estaban en la tierra de Canaán, han venido a mí.

And Joseph saith unto his brethren, and unto the house of his father, `I go up, and declare to Pharaoh, and say unto him, My brethren, and the house of my father who in the land of Canaan have come in unto me;

32 L os hombres son pastores de ovejas, hombres ganaderos; han traído sus ovejas, sus vacas y todo lo que tenían.”

and the men feeders of a flock, for they have been men of cattle; and their flock, and their herd, and all that they have, they have brought.'

33 Y cuando el faraón os llame y os pregunte: “¿Cuál es vuestro oficio?”,

`And it hath come to pass when Pharaoh calleth for you, and hath said, What your works?

34 e ntonces diréis: “Hombres de ganadería hemos sido nosotros tus siervos, desde nuestra juventud hasta ahora, nosotros y nuestros padres.” Así podréis habitar en la tierra de Gosén, porque para los egipcios es abominación todo pastor de ovejas.

that ye have said, Thy servants have been men of cattle from our youth, even until now, both we and our fathers, -- in order that ye may dwell in the land of Goshen, for the abomination of the Egyptians is every one feeding a flock.'
