1 V ino a mí palabra de Jehová en el año noveno, en el mes décimo, a los diez días del mes, diciendo:

And there is a word of Jehovah unto me, in the ninth year, in the tenth month, in the tenth of the month, saying,

2 « Hijo de hombre, escribe la fecha de este día, porque el rey de Babilonia ha puesto sitio a Jerusalén en este mismo día.

`Son of man, write for thee the name of the day -- this self-same day leaned hath the king of Babylon toward Jerusalem in this self-same day --

3 Y habla por medio de una parábola a la casa rebelde; diles: “Así ha dicho Jehová, el Señor: »”Pon una olla, ponla y echa agua en ella;

and use unto the rebellious house a simile, and thou hast said unto them: Thus said the Lord Jehovah: To set on the pot, to set on, and also to pour into it water,

4 j unta sus piezas de carne en ella: todas buenas piezas, pierna y espalda, y llénala de huesos escogidos.

To gather its pieces unto it, every good piece, Thigh and shoulder, the choice of the bones to fill in.

5 T oma una oveja escogida, y también enciende los huesos debajo de ella; haz que hierva mucho, y cuece también sus huesos dentro de ella.

The choice of the flock to take, And also to pile of the bones under it, Boil it thoroughly, yea, cook its bones in its midst.

6 » ”Pues así ha dicho Jehová, el Señor: »”¡Ay de la ciudad de sangres, de la olla herrumbrosa cuya herrumbre no ha sido quitada! Por sus piezas, por sus piezas sácala, sin echar suertes sobre ella.

Therefore, thus said the Lord Jehovah: Wo the city of blood, A pot whose scum in it, And its scum hath not come out of it, By piece of it, by piece of it bring it out, Not fallen on it hath a lot.

7 P orque su sangre está en medio de ella, derramada sobre la piedra desnuda; pues no la derramó sobre la tierra para que fuera cubierta por el polvo.

For her blood in her midst hath been, On a clear place of a rock she hath set it, She hath not poured it on the earth, To cover it over with dust.

8 P ara hacer subir la ira, para ejecutar la venganza, yo pondré su sangre sobre la piedra desnuda, para que no sea cubierta.

To cause fury to come up to take vengeance, I have put her blood on a clear place of a rock -- not to be covered.

9 P or tanto, así ha dicho Jehová, el Señor. ¡Ay de la ciudad de sangres! Pues también haré yo una gran hoguera:

Therefore, thus said the Lord Jehovah: Wo the city of blood, yea, I -- I make great the pile.

10 A montonaré la leña y encenderé el fuego para consumir la carne y hacer la salsa, y los huesos serán quemados;

Make abundant the wood, Kindle the fire, consume the flesh, And make the compound, And let the bones be burnt.

11 p ondré luego la olla vacía sobre sus brasas, para que se caldee, se queme su fondo, se funda en ella su suciedad y se consuma su herrumbre.

And cause it to stand on its coals empty, So that its brass is hot and burning, Melted hath been in its midst its uncleanness, Consumed is its scum.

12 » ”En vano se cansó, pues no salió de ella su mucha herrumbre, que sólo con fuego será quitada.

sorrows she hath wearied herself, And the abundance of her scum goeth not out of her, In the fire her scum.

13 E n tu inmunda lujuria padecerás, porque yo traté de limpiarte, pero tú no te limpiaste de tu impureza: nunca más te limpiarás, hasta que yo sacie mi ira sobre ti.

In thine uncleanness wickedness, Because I have cleansed thee, And thou hast not been cleansed, From thine uncleanness thou art not cleansed again, Till I have caused My fury to rest on thee.

14 Y o, Jehová, he hablado: sucederá, yo lo haré. No me volveré atrás ni tendré piedad ni me arrepentiré; según tus caminos y tus obras te juzgarán, dice Jehová, el Señor.”» Muerte de la esposa de Ezequiel

I, Jehovah, hath spoken, It hath come, and I have done, I do not free, nor do I spare, nor do I repent, According to thy ways, and according to thine acts, they have judged thee, An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah.'

15 V ino a mí palabra de Jehová, diciendo:

And there is a word of Jehovah unto me, saying,

16 « Hijo de hombre, he aquí que yo te quito de golpe la delicia de tus ojos; no hagas lamentación ni llores ni corran tus lágrimas.

`Son of man, lo, I am taking from thee the desire of thine eyes by a stroke, and thou dost not mourn, nor weep, nor let thy tear come.

17 R eprime el suspirar, no hagas luto por los muertos, cíñete el turbante, ponte los zapatos en los pies y no te cubras con rebozo ni comas pan de enlutados.»

Cease to groan, the dead thou dost make no mourning, thy bonnet bind on thee, and thy shoes thou dost put on thy feet, and thou dost not cover over the upper lip, and bread of men thou dost not eat.'

18 H ablé al pueblo por la mañana, y a la tarde murió mi mujer; y a la mañana hice como me fue mandado.

And I speak unto the people in the morning, and my wife dieth in the evening, and I do in the morning as I have been commanded.

19 M e dijo el pueblo: —¿No nos enseñarás qué significan para nosotros estas cosas que haces?

And the people say unto me, `Dost thou not declare to us what these to us, that thou art doing?'

20 Y o les dije: —La palabra de Jehová vino a mí, diciendo:

And I say unto them, `A word of Jehovah hath been unto me, saying:

21 “ Di a la casa de Israel que así ha dicho Jehová, el Señor: He aquí yo profano mi santuario, la gloria de vuestro poderío, la delicia de vuestros ojos y la pasión de vuestras almas. Vuestros hijos y vuestras hijas que dejasteis, caerán a espada.”

Say to the house of Israel: Thus said the Lord Jehovah: Lo, I am polluting My sanctuary, The excellency of your strength, The desire of your eyes, and the pitied of your soul, And your sons and your daughters whom ye have left, by sword they do fall.

22 Y haréis de la manera que yo hice: no os cubriréis con rebozo ni comeréis pan de gente en luto;

And ye have done as I have done, On the upper lip ye are not covered, And bread of men ye do not eat.

23 v uestros turbantes estarán sobre vuestras cabezas, y vuestros zapatos en vuestros pies; no haréis lamentación ni lloraréis, sino que os consumiréis a causa de vuestras maldades, y gemiréis unos con otros.

And your bonnets on your heads, And your shoes on your feet, Ye do not mourn nor do ye weep, And ye have wasted away for your iniquities, And ye have howled one unto another.

24 “ Ezequiel, pues, os será por señal. Según todas las cosas que él hizo, haréis; y cuando esto ocurra, sabréis que yo soy Jehová, el Señor.”

And Ezekiel hath been to you for a type, According to all that he hath done ye do; In its coming in -- ye have known that I the Lord Jehovah.

25 « Y tú, hijo de hombre, el día que yo arrebate a ellos su fortaleza, el gozo de su gloria, la delicia de sus ojos y el anhelo de sus almas, y también sus hijos y sus hijas,

And thou, son of man, Is it not in the day of My taking from them their strength, The joy of their beauty, the desire of their eyes, And the song of their soul, Their sons and their daughters?

26 e se día vendrá a ti uno que haya escapado para traer las noticias.

In that day come doth the escaped one to thee. To cause the ears to hear.

27 A quel día se abrirá tu boca para hablar con el fugitivo; hablarás, no permanecerás mudo. Tú les serás por señal, y sabrán que yo soy Jehová.»

In that day opened is thy mouth with the escaped, And thou speakest, and art not silent any more, And thou hast been to them for a type. And they have known that I Jehovah.'
