1 A conteció en los días de Amrafel, rey de Sinar, Arioc, rey de Elasar, Quedorlaomer, rey de Elam, y Tidal, rey de Goim,

And it cometh to pass in the days of Amraphel king of Shinar, Arioch king of Ellasar, Chedorlaomer king of Elam, and Tidal king of Goyim,

2 q ue estos hicieron guerra contra Bera, rey de Sodoma, contra Birsa, rey de Gomorra, contra Sinab, rey de Adma, contra Semeber, rey de Zeboim, y contra el rey de Bela, la cual es Zoar.

they have made war with Bera king of Sodom, and with Birsha king of Gomorrah, Shinab king of Admah, and Shemeber king of Zeboim, and the king of Bela, which Zoar.

3 T odos estos se juntaron en el valle del Sidim, que es el Mar Salado.

All these have been joined together unto the valley of Siddim, which the Salt Sea;

4 D oce años habían servido a Quedorlaomer, y en el decimotercero se rebelaron.

twelve years they served Chedorlaomer, and the thirteenth year they rebelled.

5 E n el año decimocuarto vino Quedorlaomer con los reyes que estaban de su parte y derrotaron a los refaítas en Astarot Karnaim, a los zuzitas en Ham, a los emitas en Save-quiriataim

And in the fourteenth year came Chedorlaomer, and the kings who with him, and they smite the Rephaim in Ashteroth Karnaim, and the Zuzim in Ham, and the Emim in Shaveh Kiriathaim,

6 y a los horeos en los montes de Seir, hasta la llanura de Parán, que está junto al desierto.

and the Horites in their mount Seir, unto El-Paran, which by the wilderness;

7 D espués regresaron y llegaron a En-mispat, que es Cades, y destruyeron todo el país de los amalecitas y también al amorreo que habitaba en Hazezon-tamar.

and they turn back and come in unto En-Mishpat, which Kadesh, and smite the whole field of the Amalekite, and also the Amorite who is dwelling in Hazezon-Tamar.

8 E ntonces salieron el rey de Sodoma, el rey de Gomorra, el rey de Adma, el rey de Zeboim y el rey de Bela, que es Zoar, y pelearon contra ellos en el valle del Sidim;

And the king of Sodom goeth out, and the king of Gomorrah, and the king of Admah, and the king of Zeboim, and the king of Bela, which Zoar; and they set the battle in array with them in the valley of Siddim,

9 e sto es, contra Quedorlaomer, rey de Elam, Tidal, rey de Goim, Amrafel, rey de Sinar, y Arioc, rey de Elasar; cuatro reyes contra cinco.

with Chedorlaomer king of Elam, and Tidal king of Goyim, and Amraphel king of Shinar, and Arioch king of Ellasar; four kings with the five.

10 E l valle del Sidim estaba lleno de pozos de asfalto; y cuando huyeron el rey de Sodoma y el de Gomorra, cayeron allí; los demás huyeron al monte.

And the valley of Siddim full of bitumen-pits; and the kings of Sodom and Gomorrah flee, and fall there, and those left have fled to the mountain.

11 L os vencedores tomaron toda la riqueza de Sodoma y de Gomorra, y todas sus provisiones, y se fueron.

And they take the whole substance of Sodom and Gomorrah, and the whole of their food, and go away;

12 T omaron también a Lot, hijo del hermano de Abram, que habitaba en Sodoma, y sus bienes, y se fueron.

and they take Lot, Abram's brother's son (seeing he is dwelling in Sodom), and his substance, and go away.

13 U no de los que escaparon fue y dio aviso a Abram, el hebreo, que habitaba en el encinar de Mamre, el amorreo, hermano de Escol y hermano de Aner, los cuales eran aliados de Abram.

And one who is escaping cometh and declareth to Abram the Hebrew, and he is dwelling among the oaks of Mamre the Amorite, brother of Eshcol, and brother of Aner, and they Abram's allies.

14 A l oír Abram que su pariente estaba prisionero, armó a trescientos dieciocho criados nacidos en su casa, y los persiguió hasta Dan.

And Abram heareth that his brother hath been taken captive, and he draweth out his trained domestics, three hundred and eighteen, and pursueth unto Dan.

15 C ayó sobre ellos de noche, él con sus siervos, y los atacó, y los fue siguiendo hasta Hoba, al norte de Damasco.

And he divideth himself against them by night, he and his servants, and smiteth them, and pursueth them unto Hobah, which at the left of Damascus;

16 R ecobró así todos los bienes, y también a su pariente Lot, los bienes de éste, las mujeres y demás gente. Melquisedec bendice a Abram

and he bringeth back the whole of the substance, and also Lot his brother and his substance hath he brought back, and also the women and the people.

17 C uando volvía de derrotar a Quedorlaomer y a los reyes que con él estaban, salió el rey de Sodoma a recibirlo al valle de Save, que es el valle del Rey.

And the king of Sodom goeth out to meet him (after his turning back from the smiting of Chedorlaomer, and of the kings who with him), unto the valley of Shaveh, which the king's valley.

18 E ntonces Melquisedec, rey de Salem y sacerdote del Dios Altísimo, sacó pan y vino;

And Melchizedek king of Salem hath brought out bread and wine, and he priest of God Most High;

19 y lo bendijo, diciendo: «Bendito sea Abram del Dios Altísimo, creador de los cielos y de la tierra;

and he blesseth him, and saith, `Blessed Abram to God Most High, possessing heaven and earth;

20 y bendito sea el Dios Altísimo, que entregó a tus enemigos en tus manos.» Y le dio Abram los diezmos de todo.

and blessed God Most High, who hath delivered thine adversaries into thy hand;' and he giveth to him a tenth of all.

21 E ntonces el rey de Sodoma dijo a Abram: —Dame las personas y toma para ti los bienes.

And the king of Sodom saith unto Abram, `Give to me the persons, and the substance take to thyself,'

22 R espondió Abram al rey de Sodoma: —He jurado a Jehová, Dios Altísimo, creador de los cielos y de la tierra,

and Abram saith unto the king of Sodom, `I have lifted up my hand unto Jehovah, God Most High, possessing heaven and earth --

23 q ue ni un hilo ni una correa de calzado tomaré de todo lo que es tuyo, para que no digas: “Yo enriquecí a Abram”;

from a thread even unto a shoe-latchet I take not of anything which thou hast, that thou say not, I -- I have made Abram rich;

24 e xcepto solamente lo que comieron los jóvenes. Pero los hombres que fueron conmigo, Aner, Escol y Mamre, sí tomarán su parte.

save only that which the young men have eaten, and the portion of the men who have gone with me -- Aner, Eshcol, and Mamre -- they take their portion.'
