1 E ntonces Jehová dijo a Moisés: —Entra a la presencia del faraón, y dile: “Jehová, el Dios de los hebreos, dice así: Deja ir a mi pueblo para que me sirva,

And Jehovah saith unto Moses, `Go in unto Pharaoh, and thou hast spoken unto him, Thus said Jehovah, God of the Hebrews, Send My people away, and they serve me,

2 p orque si no lo dejas ir, y lo sigues deteniendo,

for, if thou art refusing to send away, and art still keeping hold upon them,

3 l a mano de Jehová caerá, con plaga gravísima, sobre el ganado que está en los campos: sobre caballos, asnos, camellos, vacas y ovejas.

lo, the hand of Jehovah is on thy cattle which in the field, on horses, on asses, on camels, on herd, and on flock -- a pestilence very grievous.

4 P ero Jehová hará distinción entre los ganados de Israel y los de Egipto, de modo que nada muera de todo lo que pertenece a los hijos de Israel.”

`And Jehovah hath separated between the cattle of Israel and the cattle of Egypt, and there doth not die a thing of all the sons of Israel's;

5 Y Jehová fijó el plazo, diciendo: —Mañana hará Jehová esta cosa en la tierra.

and Jehovah setteth an appointed time, saying, To-morrow doth Jehovah do this thing in the land.'

6 A l día siguiente Jehová hizo aquello, y murió todo el ganado de Egipto; pero del ganado de los hijos de Israel no murió ni un animal.

And Jehovah doth this thing on the morrow, and all the cattle of Egypt die, and of the cattle of the sons of Israel not one hath died;

7 E l faraón hizo averiguar, y se supo que del ganado de los hijos de Israel no había muerto ni un animal. Pero el corazón del faraón se endureció, y no dejó ir al pueblo. La plaga de úlceras

and Pharaoh sendeth, and lo, not even one of the cattle of Israel hath died, and the heart of Pharaoh is hard, and he hath not sent the people away.

8 E ntonces Jehová dijo a Moisés y a Aarón: —Tomad puñados de ceniza de un horno, y la esparcirá Moisés hacia el cielo delante del faraón.

And Jehovah saith unto Moses and unto Aaron, `Take to you the fulness of your hands soot of a furnace, and Moses hath sprinkled it towards the heavens, before the eyes of Pharaoh,

9 S e convertirá en polvo sobre toda la tierra de Egipto, y producirá sarpullido con úlceras en los hombres y en las bestias por todo el país de Egipto.

and it hath become small dust over all the land of Egypt, and it hath become on man and on cattle a boil breaking forth blains, in all the land of Egypt.'

10 E llos tomaron ceniza del horno y se pusieron delante del faraón; la esparció Moisés hacia el cielo, y hubo sarpullido que produjo úlceras tanto en los hombres como en las bestias.

And they take the soot of the furnace, and stand before Pharaoh, and Moses sprinkleth it towards the heavens, and it is a boil blains, breaking forth, on man and on beast;

11 N i los hechiceros podían permanecer delante de Moisés a causa del sarpullido, pues los hechiceros tenían sarpullido como todos los egipcios.

and the scribes have not been able to stand before Moses, because of the boil, for the boil hath been on the scribes, and on all the Egyptians.

12 P ero Jehová endureció el corazón del faraón, y no los oyó, tal como Jehová lo había dicho a Moisés. La plaga de granizo

And Jehovah strengtheneth the heart of Pharaoh, and he hath not hearkened unto them, as Jehovah hath spoken unto Moses.

13 L uego Jehová dijo a Moisés: —Levántate de mañana, ponte delante del faraón y dile: “Jehová, el Dios de los hebreos, dice así: Deja ir a mi pueblo, para que me sirva,

And Jehovah saith unto Moses, `Rise early in the morning, and station thyself before Pharaoh, and thou hast said unto him, Thus said Jehovah, God of the Hebrews, Send My people away, and they serve Me,

14 p orque yo enviaré esta vez todas mis plagas sobre tu corazón, sobre tus siervos y sobre tu pueblo, para que entiendas que no hay otro como yo en toda la tierra.

for, at this time I am sending all My plagues unto thy heart, and on thy servants, and on thy people, so that thou knowest that there is none like Me in all the earth,

15 P or tanto, ahora yo extenderé mi mano para herirte a ti y a tu pueblo con una plaga, y desaparecerás de la tierra.

for now I have put forth My hand, and I smite thee, and thy people, with pestilence, and thou art hidden from the earth.

16 A la verdad yo te he puesto para mostrar en ti mi poder, y para que mi nombre sea anunciado en toda la tierra.

`And yet for this I have caused thee to stand, so as to show thee My power, and for the sake of declaring My Name in all the earth;

17 ¿ Todavía te opones a mi pueblo y no lo dejas ir?

still thou art exalting thyself against My people -- so as not to send them away;

18 M añana, a esta hora, yo haré llover granizo muy pesado, cual nunca hubo en Egipto, desde el día que se fundó hasta ahora.

lo, I am raining about time to-morrow hail very grievous, such as hath not been in Egypt, even from the day of its being founded, even until now.

19 E nvía, pues, a recoger tu ganado y todo lo que tienes en el campo, porque todo hombre o animal que se halle en el campo y no sea recogido en casa, el granizo caerá sobre él, y morirá.”

`And, now, send, strengthen thy cattle and all that thou hast in the field; every man and beast which is found in the field, and is not gathered into the house -- come down on them hath the hail, and they have died.'

20 D e los siervos del faraón, el que tuvo temor de la palabra de Jehová recogió a sus criados y a su ganado en casa,

He who is fearing the word of Jehovah among the servants of Pharaoh hath caused his servants and his cattle to flee unto the houses;

21 p ero el que no puso en su corazón la palabra de Jehová, dejó a sus criados y a su ganado en el campo.

and he who hath not set his heart unto the word of Jehovah leaveth his servants and his cattle in the field.

22 E ntonces Jehová dijo a Moisés: —Extiende tu mano hacia el cielo, para que caiga granizo en toda la tierra de Egipto sobre los hombres, sobre las bestias y sobre toda la hierba del campo en el país de Egipto.

And Jehovah saith unto Moses, `Stretch forth thy hand towards the heavens, and there is hail in all the land of Egypt, on man, and on beast, and on every herb of the field in the land of Egypt.'

23 M oisés extendió su vara hacia el cielo, y Jehová hizo tronar y granizar; el fuego se descargó sobre la tierra, y Jehová hizo llover granizo sobre la tierra de Egipto.

And Moses stretcheth out his rod towards the heavens, and Jehovah hath given voices and hail, and fire goeth towards the earth, and Jehovah raineth hail on the land of Egypt,

24 H ubo, pues, granizo, y fuego mezclado con el granizo, tan grande cual nunca hubo en toda la tierra de Egipto desde que fue habitada.

and there is hail, and fire catching itself in the midst of the hail, very grievous, such as hath not been in all the land of Egypt since it hath become a nation.

25 A quel granizo hirió en toda la tierra de Egipto todo lo que estaba en el campo, así hombres como bestias; también destrozó el granizo toda la hierba del campo, y desgajó todos los árboles del país.

And the hail smiteth in all the land of Egypt all that in the field, from man even unto beast, and every herb of the field hath the hail smitten, and every tree of the field it hath broken;

26 S olamente en la tierra de Gosén, donde estaban los hijos de Israel, no hubo granizo.

only in the land of Goshen, where the sons of Israel, there hath been no hail.

27 E ntonces el faraón envió a llamar a Moisés y a Aarón, y les dijo: —He pecado esta vez; Jehová es justo, y yo y mi pueblo impíos.

And Pharaoh sendeth, and calleth for Moses and for Aaron, and saith unto them, `I have sinned this time, Jehovah the Righteous, and I and my people the Wicked,

28 O rad a Jehová para que cesen los truenos de Dios y el granizo. Yo os dejaré ir; y no os detendréis más.

make ye supplication unto Jehovah, and plead that there be no voices of God and hail, and I send you away, and ye add not to remain.'

29 M oisés le respondió: —Tan pronto salga yo de la ciudad, extenderé mis manos a Jehová; los truenos cesarán y no habrá más granizo, para que sepas que de Jehová es la tierra.

And Moses saith unto him, `At my going out of the city, I spread my palms unto Jehovah -- the voices cease, and the hail is not any more, so that thou knowest that the earth Jehovah's;

30 P ero yo sé que ni tú ni tus siervos temeréis todavía la presencia de Jehová Dios.

but thou and thy servants -- I have known that ye are not yet afraid of the face of Jehovah God.'

31 E l lino, pues, y la cebada fueron destrozados, porque la cebada estaba ya espigada, y el lino en caña.

And the flax and the barley have been smitten, for the barley budding, and the flax forming flowers,

32 P ero el trigo y el centeno no fueron destrozados, porque eran tardíos.

and the wheat and the rye have not been smitten, for they are late.

33 C uando Moisés salió de la presencia del faraón, fuera de la ciudad, extendió sus manos a Jehová, y cesaron los truenos y el granizo, y la lluvia no cayó más sobre la tierra.

And Moses goeth out from Pharaoh, the city, and spreadeth his hands unto Jehovah, and the voices and the hail cease, and rain hath not been poured out to the earth;

34 A l ver el faraón que la lluvia, el granizo y los truenos habían cesado, se obstinó en pecar, y endurecieron su corazón él y sus siervos.

and Pharaoh seeth that the rain hath ceased, and the hail and the voices, and he continueth to sin, and hardeneth his heart, he and his servants;

35 S e endureció el corazón del faraón, y no dejó ir a los hijos de Israel, tal como Jehová lo había dicho por medio de Moisés.

and the heart of Pharaoh is strong, and he hath not sent the sons of Israel away, as Jehovah hath spoken by the hand of Moses.
