1 P or lo cual, teniendo nosotros este ministerio según la misericordia que hemos recibido, no desmayamos.

Because of this, having this ministration, according as we did receive kindness, we do not faint,

2 A ntes bien renunciamos a lo oculto y vergonzoso, no andando con astucia, ni adulterando la palabra de Dios. Por el contrario, manifestando la verdad, nos recomendamos, delante de Dios, a toda conciencia humana.

but did renounce for ourselves the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness, nor deceitfully using the word of God, but by the manifestation of the truth recommending ourselves unto every conscience of men, before God;

3 P ero si nuestro evangelio está aún encubierto, entre los que se pierden está encubierto;

and if also our good news is vailed, in those perishing it is vailed,

4 e sto es, entre los incrédulos, a quienes el dios de este mundo les cegó el entendimiento, para que no les resplandezca la luz del evangelio de la gloria de Cristo, el cual es la imagen de Dios.

in whom the god of this age did blind the minds of the unbelieving, that there doth not shine forth to them the enlightening of the good news of the glory of the Christ, who is the image of God;

5 N o nos predicamos a nosotros mismos, sino a Jesucristo como Señor, y a nosotros como vuestros siervos por amor de Jesús,

for not ourselves do we preach, but Christ Jesus -- Lord, and ourselves your servants because of Jesus;

6 p orque Dios, que mandó que de las tinieblas resplandeciera la luz, es el que resplandeció en nuestros corazones, para iluminación del conocimiento de la gloria de Dios en la faz de Jesucristo. Viviendo por la fe

because God who said, Out of darkness light to shine, who did shine in our hearts, for the enlightening of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

7 P ero tenemos este tesoro en vasos de barro, para que la excelencia del poder sea de Dios y no de nosotros,

And we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us;

8 q ue estamos atribulados en todo, pero no angustiados; en apuros, pero no desesperados;

on every side being in tribulation, but not straitened; perplexed, but not in despair;

9 p erseguidos, pero no desamparados; derribados, pero no destruidos.

persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;

10 D ondequiera que vamos, llevamos siempre en el cuerpo la muerte de Jesús, para que también la vida de Jesús se manifieste en nuestros cuerpos,

at all times the dying of the Lord Jesus bearing about in the body, that the life also of Jesus in our body may be manifested,

11 p ues nosotros, que vivimos, siempre estamos entregados a muerte por causa de Jesús, para que también la vida de Jesús se manifieste en nuestra carne mortal.

for always are we who are living delivered up to death because of Jesus, that the life also of Jesus may be manifested in our dying flesh,

12 D e manera que la muerte actúa en nosotros, y en vosotros la vida.

so that, the death indeed in us doth work, and the life in you.

13 P ero teniendo el mismo espíritu de fe, conforme a lo que está escrito: «Creí, por lo cual hablé», nosotros también creemos, por lo cual también hablamos.

And having the same spirit of the faith, according to that which hath been written, `I believed, therefore I did speak;' we also do believe, therefore also do we speak;

14 Y sabemos que el que resucitó al Señor Jesús, a nosotros también nos resucitará con Jesús, y nos presentará juntamente con vosotros.

knowing that He who did raise up the Lord Jesus, us also through Jesus shall raise up, and shall present with you,

15 T odas estas cosas padecemos por amor a vosotros, para que abundando la gracia por medio de muchos, la acción de gracias sobreabunde para gloria de Dios.

for the all things because of you, that the grace having been multiplied, because of the thanksgiving of the more, may abound to the glory of God;

16 P or tanto, no desmayamos; antes, aunque este nuestro hombre exterior se va desgastando, el interior no obstante se renueva de día en día,

wherefore, we faint not, but if also our outward man doth decay, yet the inward is renewed day by day;

17 p ues esta leve tribulación momentánea produce en nosotros un cada vez más excelente y eterno peso de gloria;

for the momentary light matter of our tribulation, more and more exceedingly an age-during weight of glory doth work out for us --

18 n o mirando nosotros las cosas que se ven, sino las que no se ven, pues las cosas que se ven son temporales, pero las que no se ven son eternas.

we not looking to the things seen, but to the things not seen; for the things seen temporary, but the things not seen age-during.
