1 J ehová habló a Moisés y a Aarón, y les dijo:

And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, and unto Aaron, saying,

2 « Ésta es la ordenanza de la ley que Jehová ha prescrito, diciendo: Di a los hijos de Israel que te traigan una vaca rojiza, perfecta, en la cual no haya falta, sobre la cual no se haya puesto yugo.

`This a statute of the law which Jehovah hath commanded, saying, Speak unto the sons of Israel, and they bring unto thee a red cow, a perfect one, in which there is no blemish, on which no yoke hath gone up;

3 L a daréis a Eleazar, el sacerdote, quien la sacará fuera del campamento y la hará degollar en su presencia.

and ye have given it unto Eleazar the priest, and he hath brought it out unto the outside of the camp, and hath slaughtered it before him.

4 E ntonces Eleazar, el sacerdote, tomará de la sangre con su dedo y rociará siete veces con ella hacia la parte delantera del Tabernáculo de reunión.

`And Eleazar the priest hath taken of its blood with his finger, and hath sprinkled over-against the front of the tent of meeting of her blood seven times;

5 D espués hará quemar la vaca ante sus ojos; hará quemar su cuero, su carne, su sangre y hasta su estiércol.

and hath burnt the cow before his eyes; her skin, and her flesh, and her blood, besides her dung, he doth burn;

6 L uego tomará el sacerdote madera de cedro, hisopo y tela roja, y lo echará en medio del fuego en que arde la vaca.

and the priest hath taken cedar wood, and hyssop, and scarlet, and hath cast unto the midst of the burning of the cow;

7 E l sacerdote lavará luego sus vestidos, lavará también su cuerpo con agua y después entrará en el campamento; y el sacerdote quedará impuro hasta la noche.

and the priest hath washed his garments, and hath bathed his flesh with water, and afterwards doth come in unto the camp, and the priest is unclean till the evening;

8 A simismo el que la quemó lavará sus vestidos en agua, también lavará en agua su cuerpo, y quedará impuro hasta la noche.

and he who is burning it doth wash his garments with water, and hath bathed his flesh with water, and is unclean till the evening.

9 U n hombre que esté puro recogerá las cenizas de la vaca y las pondrá fuera del campamento en lugar limpio, y las guardará la congregación de los hijos de Israel para el agua de purificación; es un sacrificio de expiación.

`And a clean man hath gathered the ashes of the cow, and hath placed at the outside of the camp, in a clean place, and it hath become to the company of the sons of Israel a charge for waters of separation -- it a;

10 E l que recogió las cenizas de la vaca lavará sus vestidos, y quedará impuro hasta la noche. Éste será estatuto perpetuo para los hijos de Israel y para el extranjero que habita entre ellos.

and he who is gathering the ashes of the heifer hath washed his garments, and is unclean till the evening; and it hath been to the sons of Israel, and to the sojourner who is sojourning in their midst, for a statute age-during.

11 » El que toque un cadáver de cualquier persona, quedará impuro siete días.

`He who is coming against the dead body of any man -- is unclean seven days;

12 A l tercer día se purificará con aquella agua, y al séptimo día será limpio. Si al tercer día no se purifica, no será limpio al séptimo día.

he doth cleanse himself for it on the third day, and on the seventh day he is clean; and if he cleanse not himself on the third day, then on the seventh day he is not clean.

13 T odo aquel que toque un cadáver de cualquier persona, y no se purifique, contamina el tabernáculo de Jehová. Esa persona será eliminada de Israel, por cuanto el agua de la purificación no fue rociada sobre él: impuro quedará, y su impureza permanecerá sobre él.

Any one who is coming against the dead, against the body of man who dieth, and cleanseth not himself -- the tabernacle of Jehovah he hath defiled, and that person hath been cut off from Israel, for water of separation is not sprinkled upon him; he is unclean; his uncleanness still upon him.

14 » Ésta es la ley para cuando alguien muera en la tienda: cualquiera que entre en la tienda, y todo el que esté en ella, quedará impuro durante siete días.

`This the law, when a man dieth in a tent: every one who is coming in unto the tent, and all that in the tent, is unclean seven days;

15 Y toda vasija abierta, cuya tapa no esté bien ajustada, será inmunda.

and every open vessel which hath no covering of thread upon it is unclean.

16 » Cualquiera que en campo abierto toque a algún muerto a espada, o algún cadáver o hueso humano o sepulcro, siete días quedará impuro.

`And every one who cometh, on the face of the field, against the pierced of a sword, or against the dead, or against a bone of man, or against a grave, is unclean seven days;

17 » Para el impuro tomarán de la ceniza de la vaca quemada de la expiación, y echarán sobre ella agua corriente en un recipiente.

and they have taken for the unclean person of the ashes of the burning of the, and he hath put upon it running water unto a vessel;

18 L uego un hombre que esté puro tomará hisopo, lo mojará en el agua y rociará sobre la tienda, sobre todos los muebles, sobre las personas que allí estén, y sobre aquel que haya tocado el hueso, el asesinado, el muerto o el sepulcro.

and a clean person hath taken hyssop, and hath dipped in water, and hath sprinkled on the tent, and on all the vessels, and on the persons who have been there, and on him who is coming against a bone, or against one pierced, or against the dead, or against a grave.

19 E l hombre que esté puro rociará sobre el impuro los días tercero y séptimo, y cuando lo haya purificado al séptimo día, lavará sus vestidos, se lavará a sí mismo con agua y quedará limpio por la noche.

`And the clean hath sprinkled on the unclean on the third day, and on the seventh day, and hath cleansed him on the seventh day, and he hath washed his garments, and hath bathed with water, and hath been clean in the evening.

20 L a persona impura que no se purifique, será eliminada de en medio de la congregación, por cuanto contaminó el tabernáculo de Jehová; no fue rociada sobre él el agua de la purificación: es impuro.

`And the man who is unclean, and doth not cleanse himself, even that person hath been cut off from the midst of the assembly; for the sanctuary of Jehovah he hath defiled; water of separation is not sprinkled upon him; he unclean.

21 L es será estatuto perpetuo. También el que rocíe el agua de la purificación lavará sus vestidos, y el que toque el agua de la purificación quedará impuro hasta la noche.

`And it hath been to them for a statute age-during, that he who is sprinkling the water of separation doth wash his garments, and he who is coming against the water of separation is unclean till the evening,

22 Y todo lo que el impuro toque, será inmundo; y la persona que lo toque a él, quedará impura hasta la noche.»

and all against which the unclean person cometh is unclean, and the person who is coming against is unclean till the evening.'
