1 Đ ức Giê-hô-va lại phán cùng Môi-se và A-rôn rằng:

And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, and unto Aaron, saying,

2 N ầy là lệ định của luật pháp mà Đức Giê-hô-va có truyền rằng: Hãy nói cùng dân Y-sơ-ra-ên và biểu dẫn đến người một con bò cái tơ sắc hoe, không tật không vít, và chưa mang ách.

`This a statute of the law which Jehovah hath commanded, saying, Speak unto the sons of Israel, and they bring unto thee a red cow, a perfect one, in which there is no blemish, on which no yoke hath gone up;

3 Đ oạn phải giao nó cho Ê-lê -a-sa, thầy tế lễ, dẫn ra ngoài trại quân, rồi người ta giết nó trước mặt người.

and ye have given it unto Eleazar the priest, and he hath brought it out unto the outside of the camp, and hath slaughtered it before him.

4 Ê -lê -a-sa, thầy tế lễ, sẽ dùng ngón tay nhúng huyết nó rảy bảy lần phía trước của hội mạc.

`And Eleazar the priest hath taken of its blood with his finger, and hath sprinkled over-against the front of the tent of meeting of her blood seven times;

5 N gười ta sẽ thiêu con bò cái tơ đó trước mắt người, là thiêu da, thịt, và huyết với phẩn nó.

and hath burnt the cow before his eyes; her skin, and her flesh, and her blood, besides her dung, he doth burn;

6 K ế đó, thầy tế lễ sẽ lấy cây hương nam, chùm kinh giới, và màu đỏ sặm, liệng vào giữa đám lửa thiêu con bò cái tơ.

and the priest hath taken cedar wood, and hyssop, and scarlet, and hath cast unto the midst of the burning of the cow;

7 Đ oạn, thầy tế lễ phải giặt áo xống và tắm mình trong nước, sau rồi vào trại quân, bị ô uế đến chiều tối.

and the priest hath washed his garments, and hath bathed his flesh with water, and afterwards doth come in unto the camp, and the priest is unclean till the evening;

8 K ẻ nào thiêu con bò cái tơ phải giặt áo xống và tắm mình trong nước, bị ô uế đến chiều tối.

and he who is burning it doth wash his garments with water, and hath bathed his flesh with water, and is unclean till the evening.

9 M ột người tinh sạch sẽ hốt tro con bò cái tơ đổ ngoài trại quân, trong một nơi tinh sạch; người ta phải giữ tro đó cho hội dân Y-sơ-ra-ên để dùng làm nước tẩy uế: ấy là một của lễ chuộc tội.

`And a clean man hath gathered the ashes of the cow, and hath placed at the outside of the camp, in a clean place, and it hath become to the company of the sons of Israel a charge for waters of separation -- it a;

10 K ẻ nào hốt tro con bò cái tơ phải giặt áo xống mình và bị ô uế đến chiều tối. Điều nầy sẽ làm một lệ định đời đời cho dân Y-sơ-ra-ên và cho khách ngoại bang kiều ngụ giữa dân đó.

and he who is gathering the ashes of the heifer hath washed his garments, and is unclean till the evening; and it hath been to the sons of Israel, and to the sojourner who is sojourning in their midst, for a statute age-during.

11 A i đụng đến một xác chết của người nào sẽ bị ô uế trong bảy ngày.

`He who is coming against the dead body of any man -- is unclean seven days;

12 N gày thứ ba và ngày thứ bảy, người ấy phải dùng nước nầy làm cho mình được sạch, thì sẽ được sạch; còn nếu ngày thứ ba và ngày thứ bảy không làm cho mình được sạch, thì người vẫn không tinh sạch.

he doth cleanse himself for it on the third day, and on the seventh day he is clean; and if he cleanse not himself on the third day, then on the seventh day he is not clean.

13 P hàm người nào đụng đến xác chết của người nào và không làm cho mình được sạch, thì sẽ gây cho đền tạm của Đức Giê-hô-va bị ô uế. Người đó sẽ bị truất khỏi Y-sơ-ra-ên; vì nước tẩy uế không có rảy trên mình người, nên người vẫn ô uế; sự ô uế của người vẫn ở trên mình người vậy.

Any one who is coming against the dead, against the body of man who dieth, and cleanseth not himself -- the tabernacle of Jehovah he hath defiled, and that person hath been cut off from Israel, for water of separation is not sprinkled upon him; he is unclean; his uncleanness still upon him.

14 N ầy là luật pháp khi có một người nào chết trong trại: bất kỳ ai vào trại và mọi vật chi ở trong đều sẽ bị ô uế trong bảy ngày.

`This the law, when a man dieth in a tent: every one who is coming in unto the tent, and all that in the tent, is unclean seven days;

15 P hàm bình đựng nào để trống, không có nắp đậy buộc theo, sẽ bị ô uế.

and every open vessel which hath no covering of thread upon it is unclean.

16 N goài đồng, ai đụng đến hoặc một người bị gươm giết, hoặc một xác chết, hoặc hài cốt loài người hay là một cái mả, thì sẽ bị ô uế trong bảy ngày.

`And every one who cometh, on the face of the field, against the pierced of a sword, or against the dead, or against a bone of man, or against a grave, is unclean seven days;

17 V ề kẻ bị ô uế, người ta phải lấy tro của con sinh đã bị thiêu đặng chuộc tội, để trong một cái bình và đổ nước chảy lên trên.

and they have taken for the unclean person of the ashes of the burning of the, and he hath put upon it running water unto a vessel;

18 Đ oạn, một người tinh sạch sẽ lấy chùm kinh giới nhúng vào nước, rồi rảy trên trại, trên các bình, trên những người có tại đó, và trên người đã đụng, hoặc những hài cốt, hoặc một người bị giết, hoặc một xác chết hay là một cái mả.

and a clean person hath taken hyssop, and hath dipped in water, and hath sprinkled on the tent, and on all the vessels, and on the persons who have been there, and on him who is coming against a bone, or against one pierced, or against the dead, or against a grave.

19 N gày thứ ba và ngày thứ bảy, người tinh sạch phải rảy nước đó trên người bị ô uế, và ngày thứ bảy người tinh sạch sẽ làm cho người được sạch, Người đương được sạch phải giặt áo xống mình, tắm mình trong nước, và đến chiếu tối mới được tinh sạch.

`And the clean hath sprinkled on the unclean on the third day, and on the seventh day, and hath cleansed him on the seventh day, and he hath washed his garments, and hath bathed with water, and hath been clean in the evening.

20 C òn người nào sẽ bị ô uế mà không làm cho mình được sạch, một người như vậy sẽ bị truất khỏi hội chúng; vì người đã làm cho nơi thánh của Đức Giê-hô-va bị ô uế. Nước tẩy uế không có rưới trên mình người: người vẫn ô uế.

`And the man who is unclean, and doth not cleanse himself, even that person hath been cut off from the midst of the assembly; for the sanctuary of Jehovah he hath defiled; water of separation is not sprinkled upon him; he unclean.

21 A áy sẽ là một lệ định đời đời cho dân sự. Người nào rảy nước tẩy uế sẽ giặt áo xống mình: kẻ nào đụng đến nước tẩy uế sẽ bị ô uế đến chiều tối.

`And it hath been to them for a statute age-during, that he who is sprinkling the water of separation doth wash his garments, and he who is coming against the water of separation is unclean till the evening,

22 P hàm vật chi mà người ô uế đụng đến, đều sẽ bị lây ô uế; còn ai đụng đến người đó sẽ bị lây ô uế đến chiều tối.

and all against which the unclean person cometh is unclean, and the person who is coming against is unclean till the evening.'
