1 I srael salió con todo lo que tenía y llegó a Beerseba, y ofreció sacrificios al Dios de su padre Isaac.

And Israel journeyeth, and all that he hath, and cometh in to Beer-Sheba, and sacrificeth sacrifices to the God of his father Isaac;

2 Y Dios habló a Israel en una visión nocturna, y dijo: “Jacob, Jacob.” Y él respondió: “Aquí estoy.”

and God speaketh to Israel in visions of the night, and saith, `Jacob, Jacob;' and he saith, `Here I.'

3 Y El dijo: “Yo soy Dios, el Dios de tu padre; no temas descender a Egipto, porque allí te haré una gran nación.

And He saith, `I God, God of thy father, be not afraid of going down to Egypt, for for a great nation I set thee there;

4 Y o descenderé contigo a Egipto, y ciertamente, Yo también te haré volver; y José cerrará tus ojos.”

I -- I go down with thee to Egypt, and I -- I also certainly bring thee up, and Joseph doth put his hand on thine eyes.'

5 E ntonces Jacob se fue de Beerseba. Los hijos de Israel llevaron a su padre Jacob, y a sus pequeños y a sus mujeres, en las carretas que Faraón había enviado para llevarlo.

And Jacob riseth from Beer-Sheba, and the sons of Israel bear away Jacob their father, And their infants, and their wives, in the waggons which Pharaoh hath sent to bear him,

6 Y tomaron sus ganados y los bienes que habían acumulado en la tierra de Canaán y vinieron a Egipto, Jacob y toda su descendencia con él:

and they take their cattle, and their goods which they have acquired in the land of Canaan, and come into Egypt -- Jacob, and all his seed with him,

7 s us hijos y sus nietos con él, sus hijas y sus nietas. A toda su descendencia trajo consigo a Egipto.

his sons, and his sons' sons with him, his daughters, and his sons' daughters, yea, all his seed he brought with him into Egypt.

8 E stos son los nombres de los hijos de Israel, Jacob y sus hijos, que fueron a Egipto: Rubén, primogénito de Jacob.

And these the names of the sons of Israel who are coming into Egypt: Jacob and his sons, Jacob's first-born, Reuben.

9 L os hijos de Rubén: Hanoc, Falú, Hezrón y Carmi.

And sons of Reuben: Hanoch, and Phallu, and Hezron, and Carmi.

10 L os hijos de Simeón: Jemuel, Jamín, Ohad, Jaquín, Zohar y Saúl, hijo de la Cananea.

And sons of Simeon: Jemuel, and Jamin, and Ohad, and Jachin, and Zohar, and Shaul son of the Canaanitess.

11 L os hijos de Leví: Gersón, Coat y Merari.

And sons of Levi: Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.

12 L os hijos de Judá: Er, Onán, Sela, Fares y Zara, pero Er y Onán murieron en la tierra de Canaán. Los hijos de Fares fueron Hezrón y Hamul.

And sons of Judah: Er, and Onan, and Shelah, and Pharez, and Zarah, (and Er and Onan die in the land of Canaan.) And sons of Pharez are Hezron and Hamul.

13 L os hijos de Isacar: Tola, Fúa, Job y Simrón.

And sons of Issachar: Tola, and Phuvah, and Job, and Shimron.

14 L os hijos de Zabulón: Sered, Elón y Jahleel.

And sons of Zebulun: Sered, and Elon, and Jahleel.

15 E stos son los hijos de Lea, los que le dio a Jacob en Padán Aram, y además su hija Dina; todos sus hijos y sus hijas eran treinta y tres.

These sons of Leah whom she bare to Jacob in Padan-Aram, and Dinah his daughter; all the persons of his sons and his daughters thirty and three.

16 L os hijos de Gad: Zifión, Hagui, Suni, Ezbón, Eri, Arodi y Areli.

And sons of Gad: Ziphion, and Haggi, Shuni, and Ezbon, Eri, and Arodi, and Areli.

17 L os hijos de Aser: Imna, Isúa, Isúi, Bería y Sera, hermana de ellos. Y los hijos de Bería: Heber y Malquiel.

And sons of Asher: Jimnah, and Ishuah, and Isui, and Beriah, and Serah their sister. And sons of Beriah: Heber and Malchiel.

18 E stos son los hijos de Zilpa, a quien Labán dio a su hija Lea, y que le dio a Jacob; en total dieciséis personas.

These sons of Zilpah, whom Laban gave to Leah his daughter, and she beareth these to Jacob -- sixteen persons.

19 L os hijos de Raquel, mujer de Jacob: José y Benjamín.

Sons of Rachel, Jacob's wife: Joseph and Benjamin.

20 A José, en la tierra de Egipto le nacieron Manasés y Efraín, los cuales le dio Asenat, hija de Potifera, sacerdote de On.

And born to Joseph in the land of Egypt (whom Asenath daughter of Poti-Pherah, priest of On, hath borne to him) Manasseh and Ephraim.

21 L os hijos de Benjamín: Bela, Bequer, Asbel, Gera, Naamán, Ehi, Ros, Mupim, Hupim y Ard.

And sons of Benjamin: Belah, and Becher, and Ashbel, Gera, and Naaman, Ehi, and Rosh, Muppim, and Huppim, and Ard.

22 E stos son los hijos de Raquel, que le nacieron a Jacob; catorce personas en total.

These sons of Rachel, who were born to Jacob; all the persons fourteen.

23 L os hijos de Dan: Husim.

And sons of Dan: Hushim.

24 L os hijos de Neftalí: Jahzeel, Guni, Jezer y Silem.

And sons of Naphtali: Jahzeel, and Guni, and Jezer, and Shillem.

25 E stos son los hijos de Bilha, a quien Labán dio a su hija Raquel, y que ella le dio a Jacob; en total siete personas.

These sons of Bilhah, whom Laban gave to Rachel his daughter; and she beareth these to Jacob -- all the persons seven.

26 T odas las personas de la familia de Jacob, que vinieron a Egipto, descendientes directos suyos, no incluyendo las mujeres de los hijos de Jacob, eran en total sesenta y seis personas.

All the persons who are coming to Jacob to Egypt, coming out of his thigh, apart from the wives of Jacob's sons, all the persons sixty and six.

27 Y los hijos de José, que le nacieron en Egipto, eran dos: todas las personas de la casa de Jacob que vinieron a Egipto, eran setenta. Encuentro de Jacob y José

And the sons of Joseph who have been born to him in Egypt two persons. All the persons of the house of Jacob who are coming into Egypt seventy.

28 J acob envió a Judá delante de sí a José, para indicar delante de él el camino a Gosén, y llegaron a la tierra de Gosén.

And Judah he hath sent before him unto Joseph, to direct before him to Goshen, and they come into the land of Goshen;

29 J osé preparó su carro y subió a Gosén para ir al encuentro de su padre Israel. Apenas lo vio, se echó sobre su cuello y lloró largamente sobre su cuello.

and Joseph harnesseth his chariot, and goeth up to meet Israel his father, to Goshen, and appeareth unto him, and falleth on his neck, and weepeth on his neck again;

30 E ntonces Israel dijo a José: “Ahora ya puedo morir, después que he visto tu rostro y sé que todavía vives.”

and Israel saith unto Joseph, `Let me die this time, after my seeing thy face, for thou yet alive.'

31 Y José dijo a sus hermanos y a la familia de su padre: “Subiré y lo haré saber a Faraón, y le diré: ‘Mis hermanos y la familia de mi padre, que estaban en la tierra de Canaán, han venido a mí.

And Joseph saith unto his brethren, and unto the house of his father, `I go up, and declare to Pharaoh, and say unto him, My brethren, and the house of my father who in the land of Canaan have come in unto me;

32 L os hombres son pastores de ovejas, pues son hombres de ganado. Han traído sus ovejas y sus vacas, y todo lo que tienen.’

and the men feeders of a flock, for they have been men of cattle; and their flock, and their herd, and all that they have, they have brought.'

33 “ Y cuando Faraón los llame y les diga: ‘¿Cuál es su ocupación ?’

`And it hath come to pass when Pharaoh calleth for you, and hath said, What your works?

34 u stedes responderán: ‘Sus siervos han sido hombres de ganado desde su juventud hasta ahora, tanto nosotros como nuestros padres,’ a fin de que habiten en la tierra de Gosén. Porque para los Egipcios todo pastor de ovejas es una abominación.”

that ye have said, Thy servants have been men of cattle from our youth, even until now, both we and our fathers, -- in order that ye may dwell in the land of Goshen, for the abomination of the Egyptians is every one feeding a flock.'
