1 E ntonces Salomón comenzó a edificar la casa del Señor en Jerusalén en el Monte Moriah, donde el Señor se había aparecido a su padre David, en el lugar que David había preparado en la era de Ornán Jebuseo.

And Solomon beginneth to build the house of Jehovah, in Jerusalem, in the mount of Moriah, where He appeared to David his father, in the place that David had prepared, in the threshing-floor of Ornan the Jebusite,

2 Y comenzó a edificar en el segundo día del segundo mes, del año cuarto de su reinado.

and he beginneth to build in the second, in the second month, in the fourth year of his reign.

3 E stos son los cimientos que Salomón puso para la edificación de la casa de Dios: la longitud en codos (un codo: 45 cm), conforme a la medida antigua, era de 24 metros, y la anchura de 9 metros.

And these hath Solomon been instructed to build the house of God: The length cubits by the former measure sixty cubits, and the breadth twenty cubits.

4 Y el pórtico que estaba al frente del templo tenía la misma longitud que la anchura de la casa, 9 metros, y la altura, 120; y lo revistió por dentro de oro puro.

As to the porch that on the front, the length by the front of the breadth of the house, twenty cubits, and the height a hundred and twenty, and he overlayeth it within with pure gold.

5 R ecubrió el salón principal de madera de ciprés, la revistió de oro fino y la adornó con palmas y cadenillas.

And the large house he hath covered with fir-trees, and he doth cover it with good gold, and causeth to ascend on it palms and chains,

6 A dornó además la casa con piedras preciosas; y el oro era oro de Parvaim.

and he overlayeth the house with precious stone for beauty, and the gold gold of Parvaim,

7 T ambién revistió de oro la casa: las vigas, los umbrales, sus paredes y sus puertas; y esculpió querubines en las paredes.

and he covereth the house, the beams, the thresholds, and its walls, and its doors, with gold, and hath graved cherubs on the walls.

8 H izo asimismo la habitación del Lugar Santísimo; su longitud, correspondiente a la anchura de la casa, era de 9 metros, y su anchura era de 9 metros; la revistió de oro fino, que ascendía a 20. 4 toneladas.

And he maketh the most holy house: its length by the front of the breadth of the house twenty cubits, and its breadth twenty cubits, and he covereth it with good gold, to six hundred talents;

9 E l peso de los clavos era de cincuenta siclos (570 gramos) de oro. También revistió de oro los aposentos altos.

and the weight of the nails fifty shekels of gold, and the upper chambers he hath covered with gold.

10 E ntonces hizo dos querubines de obra tallada en la habitación del Lugar Santísimo y los revistió de oro.

And he maketh in the most holy house two cherubs, image work, and he overlayeth them with gold;

11 Y las alas de los dos querubines medían 9 metros; el ala de uno, de 2. 25 metros, tocaba la pared de la casa, y su otra ala, de 2. 25 metros, tocaba el ala del otro querubín.

as to the wings of the cherubs, their length twenty cubits, the wing of the one five cubits, touching the wall of the house, and the other wing five cubits, touching the wing of the other cherub.

12 Y el ala del otro querubín, de 2. 25 metros, tocaba la pared de la casa; y su otra ala, de 2. 25 metros, se unía al ala del primer querubín.

And the wing of the other cherub five cubits touching the wall of the house, and the other wing five cubits, adhering to the wing of the other cherub.

13 L as alas de estos querubines se extendían 9 metros; estaban de pie, con sus rostros vueltos hacia el salón principal.

The wings of these cherubs are spreading forth twenty cubits, and they are standing on their feet and their faces inward.

14 H izo después el velo de violeta, púrpura, carmesí y lino fino, e hizo bordar querubines en él.

And he maketh the vail of blue, and purple, and crimson, and fine linen, and causeth cherubs to go up on it.

15 H izo también dos columnas para el frente de la casa, de 15. 75 metros de alto, y el capitel encima de cada una era de 2. 25 metros.

And he maketh at the front of the house two pillars, thirty and five cubits in length, and the ornament that on their heads five cubits.

16 H izo asimismo cadenillas en el santuario interior, y las puso encima de las columnas; e hizo 100 granadas y las puso en las cadenillas.

And he maketh chains in the oracle, and putteth on the heads of the pillars, and maketh a hundred pomegranates, and putteth on the chains.

17 Y erigió las columnas delante del templo, una a la derecha y otra a la izquierda, y llamó a la de la derecha Jaquín y a la de la izquierda Boaz.

And he raiseth up the pillars on the front of the temple, one on the right, and one on the left, and calleth the name of that on the right Jachin, and the name of that on the left Boaz.
