1 A cepten al que es débil en la fe, pero no para juzgar sus opiniones.

And him who is weak in the faith receive ye -- not to determinations of reasonings;

2 U no tiene fe en que puede comer de todo, pero el que es débil sólo come legumbres.

one doth believe that he may eat all things -- and he who is weak doth eat herbs;

3 E l que come no desprecie al que no come, y el que no come no juzgue al que come, porque Dios lo ha aceptado.

let not him who is eating despise him who is not eating: and let not him who is not eating judge him who is eating, for God did receive him.

4 ¿ Quién eres tú para juzgar al criado (siervo) de otro ? Para su propio amo (señor) está en pie o cae. En pie se mantendrá, porque poderoso es el Señor para sostenerlo en pie.

Thou -- who art thou that art judging another's domestic? to his own master he doth stand or fall; and he shall be made to stand, for God is able to make him stand.

5 U no juzga que un día es superior a otro, otro juzga iguales todos los días. Cada cual esté plenamente convencido según su propio sentir (su propia mente).

One doth judge one day above another, and another doth judge every day; let each in his own mind be fully assured.

6 E l que guarda cierto día, para el Señor lo guarda. El que come, para el Señor come, pues da gracias a Dios; y el que no come, para el Señor se abstiene, y da gracias a Dios.

He who is regarding the day, to the Lord he doth regard, and he who is not regarding the day, to the Lord he doth not regard. He who is eating, to the Lord he doth eat, for he doth give thanks to God; and he who is not eating, to the Lord he doth not eat, and doth give thanks to God.

7 P orque ninguno de nosotros vive para sí mismo, y ninguno muere para sí mismo.

For none of us to himself doth live, and none to himself doth die;

8 P ues si vivimos, para el Señor vivimos, y si morimos, para el Señor morimos. Por tanto, ya sea que vivamos o que muramos, del Señor somos.

for both, if we may live, to the Lord we live; if also we may die, to the Lord we die; both then if we may live, also if we may die, we are the Lord's;

9 P orque para esto Cristo murió y resucitó, para ser Señor tanto de los muertos como de los vivos.

for because of this Christ both died and rose again, and lived again, that both of dead and of living he may be Lord.

10 P ero tú, ¿por qué juzgas a tu hermano? O también, tú, ¿por qué desprecias a tu hermano? Porque todos compareceremos ante el tribunal de Dios.

And thou, why dost thou judge thy brother? or again, thou, why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand at the tribunal of the Christ;

11 P orque está escrito: “ Vivo yo, dice el Señor, que ante Mi se doblara toda rodilla, y toda lengua alabara a Dios.”

for it hath been written, `I live! saith the Lord -- to Me bow shall every knee, and every tongue shall confess to God;'

12 D e modo que cada uno de nosotros dará a Dios cuenta de sí mismo.

so, then, each of us concerning himself shall give reckoning to God;

13 P or tanto, ya no nos juzguemos los unos a los otros, sino más bien decidan esto: no poner obstáculo o piedra de tropiezo al hermano.

no longer, therefore, may we judge one another, but this judge ye rather, not to put a stumbling-stone before the brother, or an offence.

14 Y o sé, y estoy convencido en el Señor Jesús, de que nada es inmundo en sí mismo; pero para el que estima que algo es inmundo, para él lo es.

I have known, and am persuaded, in the Lord Jesus, that nothing unclean of itself, except to him who is reckoning anything to be unclean -- to that one unclean;

15 P orque si por causa de la comida tu hermano se entristece, ya no andas conforme al amor. No destruyas con tu comida a aquél por quien Cristo murió.

and if through victuals thy brother is grieved, no more dost thou walk according to love; do not with thy victuals destroy that one for whom Christ died.

16 P or tanto, no permitan que se hable mal de lo que para ustedes es bueno.

Let not, then, your good be evil spoken of,

17 P orque el reino de Dios no es comida ni bebida, sino justicia y paz y gozo en el Espíritu Santo.

for the reign of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit;

18 P orque el que de esta manera sirve a Cristo, es aceptable a Dios y aprobado por los hombres.

for he who in these things is serving the Christ, acceptable to God and approved of men.

19 A sí que procuremos lo que contribuye a la paz y a la edificación mutua.

So, then, the things of peace may we pursue, and the things of building up one another;

20 N o destruyas la obra de Dios por causa de la comida. En realidad, todas las cosas son limpias, pero son malas para el hombre que escandaliza (que ofende) a otro al comer.

for the sake of victuals cast not down the work of God; all things, indeed, pure, but evil to the man who is eating through stumbling.

21 E s mejor no comer carne, ni beber vino, ni hacer nada en que tu hermano tropiece (se ofenda).

Right not to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor to in which thy brother doth stumble, or is made to fall, or is weak.

22 L a fe que tú tienes, ten la conforme a tu propia convicción delante de Dios. Dichoso el que no se condena a sí mismo en lo que aprueba.

Thou hast faith! to thyself have before God; happy is he who is not judging himself in what he doth approve,

23 P ero el que duda, si come se condena, porque no lo hace por fe. Todo lo que no procede de fe, es pecado.

and he who is making a difference, if he may eat, hath been condemned, because not of faith; and all that not of faith is sin.
